I purchased the Mibro dado set from LOWES about 5 or 6 years ago. It came in a nice wooden case. I have cut numerous dados of varying widths and have always gotten clean flat bottoms. I have just completing a dozen drawers out of Baltic birch and cut a wide dado for the bottoms. Still getting clean flat bottoms in all of the dados.
I've been reading the reviews on Amazon recently, thinking about getting this. The bad reviews mostly talk about used-looking blades. At the same time however, those are older reviews. Of the recent reviews, for the last year or two, the number of bad reviews talking about used-looking blades is more rare than in years previous. Not defending the product, but it's possible that the manufacturer got the hint and started doing a better job. For less than $60, on Amazon, it may be worth it to take a chance, as the odds of getting a good set has improved.
Yep. Not too good. Also bought it. Will return it. My carbide didn't look like that but the cut was pretty ugly. It removed the wood but the tolerance of the blades must be pretty big from one to the next because there were many steps in the bottom of the cut and bat ears as well.

Might have been a bad run. I bought a set in 2020 and the blades arrived new and without chips. for a basic budget set, it worked just fine for me.

Blah blah blah, boring. It isn’t a review if you didn’t use the product. There are mostly good reviews in this dado set on Amazon. I it 2 bad ones.
