I’m a flight attendant and the airport makes a lot of money selling alcoholic beverages. And like you said we get a lot of people who are afraid to fly and the alcohol can calm them down. As far as being served alcohol on the flights it’s a money thing again. Although we are supposed to monitor the persons behavior as far as how many drinks they have and their behavior. We can cut them off if they “appear to be intoxicated.” It is a slippery slope for sure.
