  • We switch out the stock exhaust on the 2023 KTM 300SX for the FMF nickel plated fatty exhaust and the titanium silencer, comparing sound and weight between the two. I wish I had a dyno to see the power difference. #ktm #motocross #motorcycles

Glad I am not the only one who struggled to reinstall the skid plate.

@@scottsgaragehtx439 After removing it, I noticed the finish around the thread holes was all buggered up, ktm knew they were installing faulty skids.

@@Dat_Sun Yes! It shouldn’t be that hard to put a stock accessory on a bike.

The FMF silencer is no different in performance over stock. It's just the way to spend more money. The pipe is the only difference in performance but it is very marginal. Will generally increase your rev range. Most of the stuff you hear are lies. One good modification would be to add a Spanish fly sparker Arrester. Screamed spark arresters plug up. And a medium compression head will help in horse power. You do not need an after market ECU. That is another lie and waste of money. These bikes are tuned to run properly from the factory. Normally you just need to adjust the air fuel mix screw. To keep from following plugs.

Hey Scott, are those parts specific to the 300sx or did you order a 250sx pipe + silencer? What part number are they? Thanks!

Hello. Good question. I looked on the KTM parts site and the part numbers were the same between the 300 and the 250. Go to KTM.com and Powerparts and Powerwear. Good luck.

I know, I know. I will soon. The collarbone is still “iffy”. Getting this bike has started the bug of motorcycles in me all over again. Now I find myself looking for a GP track bike! Argh. Thanks for watching.
