- First Day on a New Farm, Big Plans For a Blank Slate // Lee and Tiffany Lakosky
This week, Lee is on a new farm for the first time and lays the groundwork for what will hopefully be one of his top producing farms in Iowa. He discusses the importance of green to grain transfer when considering food plot layouts and how to put deer where you want them for a perfect shot once they step out. With plenty of cover and water, this farm is just missing one thing....FOOD. Using the Vail disc muncher, he restores old food plots and increase the acreage he intends to plant for the 2023 season. This will be one farm to watch and follow along with as Lee puts his spin on a blank slate.

I could watch this stuff everyday! Thank you for putting this content out!!!!
Glad you enjoy it!
Really good stuff. Love the way you bring us into your head.
The thicker it is the better these MS deer like it
As far as info goes this is by far my favorite channel. I don’t see a superstar TV couple, even though it’s mainly lee on this particular stuff. I see someone with passion, knowledge, drive and the willingness to learn and teach.
Wow, thank you!
So much wisdom Masterclass Iowa style.
That mulcher is a beast
Sure makes quick work of a LOT around here!
The main point any one can do this but learn from the best guys doing it.
Deer management has changed but if you don’t adapt you will be left without deer on your place…one guy can come in one place and pull in all the deer. Great strategy but know this is normal practice now in 2023. Looking forward to this piece of property being featured in the next few years
I love the B roll of the American flag, NICE
First on bout time lol love this clips so much knowledge I could follow Lee like a tick to learn just a tad of it
Love the kid’s band-Aid!
Dad level 10!!
Gotta do what ya gotta do 😂
Man, you guys get some row crops in those fields after looking at the surrounding properties, gold mine! Best of luck with this property. The transitions/ pinch points have big potential the way you’re setting things up. Appreciate y’all 🇺🇸
Thanks! This one is going to be exciting to watch come to life!
Thanks guys for sharing… we love it!!!
Our pleasure, thanks for watching!
Good Evening from Central Illinois. That's a great looking property and I'm sure it will only get better with the things you have planned.
We sure hope so, thanks for checking out this weeks episode!

That Vail disk muncher is the ticket. This is going to be an exciting project to watch. I hope things go smoothly. Enjoyed the video.
Thanks Mark! There’s a right tool for every job, that’s for sure!
Can't wait to see the progression!!
Thank you for the great pointers. That Vale attachment works wonders. Looking forward to watching the channel to see how this property develops over the years!
We've got an absolutely stunning 241 acre parcel in Southern IL not too far from your other place! I posted a info vid on our channel, it will be up for auction June 26. It is a stunning 'pre started' blank slate! Thanks.

Great stuff! Would be a dream job doing that type of thing.
Do what you love and you’ll work every day of your life!
I learn so much watching these videos. Love the east/west food plot suggestion. Never thought about that before. Used the fence idea before and it definitely works.
It’s the little things that add up! We appreciate you watching!
This is amazing!! I need your brains for a farm in Indiana!!
Just follow along in this series and let us know if you have any questions! We appreciate you watching!
Fantastic
Awsome info thx 👍👍🦌🦌
Awesome show , keep em coming, interesting to see how this farm does each yr
Thanks, lots more to come!
Thanks for the video! We just bought our first farm, definitely will be putting this into consideration.
Great video! A lot of info!
Awsome content can you do more on tge bow stuff would love to see your process on a new bow build from tune to arrow selection plus tune broadheads
That is coming very soon! We’ll be filming for it this week, so keep an eye out!
Thanks for doing this video, your farm reminds me a lot of mine in the Upper Peninsula. Mine hasn't been managed in well over 15 years so is very overgrown with water, tons of cover, and surrounded by cattle and neighbors, so if I can figure out how to get food to grow I will hopefully hold deer on it. I'm opening things back up with the tractor mulcher right now and you gave some great tips I'm going to put into play!
Awsome looking property. Cant wait to see what you kill on it. And yes we really need rain its been dry here in ohio no rain for like 21 days
It’s so bad all over! We’re fearing some major cases of EHD here
oh yes, love the culvert install!! Nice!
Love this content!!!
Thank you!!
This is so good
Congratulations!

Good stuff! Keep it coming!
On my Kentucky farm, I've switched to Green Cover seed blends in most of my food plots. Summer Release and Fall Release provides year round food, besides row crops of corn/soybeans.
Great Seed and Great Co.
Great info👍
Love it!!!!!!!!!
I crave this stuff!! Nice farm and plan!!
Gods Grace. Prays for some rain man!
My land is in Eastern Oklahoma. Dry Dry Dry. Hope thunderstorms in Aug will help.
Wth? How long has Donnie H. been working for you? I met him 25 years ago in wisconsin
You're definitely living the dream, Will this Property be put up for sale at some point
Also keep on the RUclips stuff thats what the world is converting too people these days into streaming video
You guys are great deer farmers. You make it look easy to raise and kill big bucks.
We appreciate the kind words, Stanley!
Pretty neat to see that white dodge getting put to work!
That thing is always workin!! Haha
@Lee and Tiffany Lakosky good deal I work for Keldermans! I'm the fella that takted all them weldments together, that holds the beast steady! Show that beauty off on here! I heard there was a hiccup though in the mountains sorry :/
Nice. Will it be ready for this upcoming season?
Why does it seem like this guy REALLY knows what he’s talking about?
Lee, what maturity of beans are you planting?
learned some things today. I do have a question about leaving trees though. I see farmers leave big Oak trees in their corn fields in Michigan, Illinois, Missouri, Tennessee and Alabama. Not sure if they feel it serves a purpose? I just asking.....I tend to leave big oaks. Acorns for one and bucks need to go into the plot around the tree to check for doe. Thanks, great video.
What’s your thought on a 30 acre deer farm
Great stuff here guys! Really enjoy the content. For the landowners where this equipment may not be in the budget to own, do you know if there is anywhere to either rent this equipment or anyone who contracts this work? (Specifically in SE Iowa)
I will have to check with Ed at Vail, but will definitely get back to you on that! Good question!
Where did you buy that culvert pipe? Thanks!
How in touch….it’s “only” 135 acres. A small piece. Lol
Lee, what do you look for when buying a new farm as far as Adjoining land ? Do you know the adjoining landowners ?
It's a hellva lot of work to end up having a D*** head right next to your land.
Have you ever, put hours of work on a deer property, and deer just didn't come in?
What state is this in?
How do I submit my application? LOL
Tube’s too small.
