Yes, of course Michael Jackson grew up in the era when James Brown was #thee Man. There weren't but a few black performers / people on television back then. Back then poor people got 3 channels on their television - 2, 4 & 11. There wasn't a TV channel guide on the screen. Instead, u read a small printed magazine or TV guide printed in the Sunday paper. A coat hanger replaced a broken antenna. Channel 53 was foggy (we called it snow). 53 was a luxury like HBO. Doing the 6 o'clock News if u couldn't get 53, ur only choice to watch on television was Star Trek - with dude with the pointed ears. Corn flakes, Cheerios & rice krispies or bacon or sausage with eggs was breakfast. Sometimes u got "panacakes". In the winter time, u got cream-a-wheat or oatmeal. Them was the good old days when a child stayed in a child's place & we was good
From a dance point perspective Michael was to kill James on the dance floor 😂 put my can't split and come back up on both sides and there was somebody else you could not do in the video did you notice
Yes, that is correct. Watch Michael's footwork. That was before Michael was born. Mr. Brown had a style of his own. Michael copied Mr. Brown with a style of his own. Both awesome dancers. Jackie Wilson also before Michael.
I always say he came from the ancient ones, then flew straight to the far future, THEN went back in time to shake up the whole planet with his enigmatic energy for that last 3 decades of the 20th century. Thank you Michael ✨️
And now if you pay attention to Bruno Mars he pays tribute to MJ, Prince and all the greats who was before him. The legends leave blue prints for those coming after!

Glad I got to see both in concert in their Prime. Saw the Jackson 5 in 1971 and James Brown twice in 1968. Those were the Days. Made my Teen years Wonderful and I Cherish the Memories. Also saw the Jacksons Unity tour in 2012. Michael was there in Spirit. ❣️💯

James Brown was the original and the dance teacher and Michael Jackson was the student. Michael was such a perfectionist and he was a carbon copy of James Brown's moves. Love it. They were both so humble and Michael admitted that he learned everything he could from James Brown and believe it or not,Fred Astaire. R.i.p. both Michael and Mr. James Brown.
