This is a great talk. As a Jewish Catholic I run into this question often and I point to Romans 11 and I never get any feedback because no one really understands this.
Congratulations! Catholicism is just the next phase of Judaism. Judaism discusses the future coming Messiah that came on Christmas Day, when Judaism was concluded, fulfilled, and done on Christmas Day. The joy of Catholicism is that it's the fulfillment of Judaism. Personally, I think it's no accident that a Catholic priest's vestments are so close to a Rabbi's vestments. The Old Testament is Judaism. When correctly understanding the relationship, Catholicism & Judaism are complimentary and not opposed. Catholicism exists because of Judaism, not inspite of it. Ever since I became a Christian and later a Catholic I have believed what the Romans 11 says. No problem and easy to understand. Gentiles and Jews should not be proud of anything but be humble. God's salvation history began immediately after the fall of Adam and Eve. God wanted to save ALL mankind. Adam and Eve were not Jews but His plan was to choose the Jews for the purpose Bible and also Roy are speaking about. We are all equal before God, He created us and He loves us dearly. Thanks be to God now and forever.

How many demons have you cast out of demon possessed people? Or do you not actually believe in Jesus Christ, as Jesus himself said? Mark 16 "And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues; 18 they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well.” So how many Satanic demons have you exorcised from possessed people?

That is the biggest downfall of Satan! Matthew 7: 21-23. 21). When the day comes many will say to me, "Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, drive out demons in your name, work many miracles in your name?" 23). Now suppose that some branches were broken off, and you are wild olive, grafted among the rest to share with the others the rich sap of the olive tree; 18). then it is not for you to consider yourself superior to the other branches; and if you start feeling proud, think: it is not you that sustain the root, but the root that sustains you. 19). You will say, 'Branches were broken off on purpose for me to be grafted in.' True; 20). they through their unbelief were broken off, and you are established through your faith. Fascinating, I totally enjoyed your book "Salvation is from the Jews". But I think in Acts 15 Peter was for not putting burdens on the gentiles, circumsistion. The Pharisees were pushing circumcision. Everything else great. If I am wrong on the account of Peter, let me know. God bless you Roy.

Are we venturing into universalism? I wonder. We were affiliated with Messianic groups for a few years until it became apparent thats the Jewish contingency looked on us Gentiles as somehow lesser and therefore "provisional" members. This whole us vs. them thing is troubling. Thank you for a fine study of Romans 11.
Extremely interesting and well explained teaching.. but I agree with the host perhaps a little complicated for many lay people. I think it would be good to spread Schoemann’s insights to the Catholic clergy.
Interesting/he brings up some very interesting points. There would be no Christians without the Jewish religion and lineage, and Jesus came to evangelize the Jews. If the second coming must be accompanied by the conversion of the Jews, as he posits; this doesn’t seem to occurring anytime soon. Conversely, it seems that many American Jews are atheist or agnostic and identify as secular or cultural Jews, and largely eschew orthodoxy. As for the Judaic requirement of circumcision he mentions, could someone please explain why this was required? If you don’t have male anatomical parts, (and women don’t) how do you establish a covenant with God?
Tonine, Circumcision may have come about because Abraham sinned by having a child with Hagar instead of believing God would deliver on His promise of a child with his wife, Sarah. Maybe because of the nature of the sin, the organ responsible was marked by circumcision. Roy, you are an inspiration. Thank you.
@toninewilson651: Jesus stated in John 7: 22). Moses ordered you to practise circumcision -- not that it began with him, it goes back to the patriarchs -- and you circumcise on the Sabbath. Note: Jesus stated that Moses didn't command circumcision (meaning that the physical circumcision was never commanded by God). It was the patriarchs idea (Not of God). Romans 2:29 29). The real Jew is the one who is inwardly a Jew, and real circumcision is in the heart, a thing not of the letter but of the spirit. He may not be praised by any human being, but he will be praised by God.

Imo, no one person, church or denomination knows all the answers. In these closing times, I pray all those who try to follow Christ, will be united by the Gospel, in their belief in God, who so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him, shall not perish, but have eternal life.
Why wouldn’t he be happy to be one of the Chosen People that God labeled as such ? God will never go back on his word that the Jewish people are his Chosen People. Jesus, Joseph and Mary are Jewish. Is there something wrong with that ? I don’t understand your comment.
@@francescaderimini4422yes Jesus is God, that’s indisputable, but He is also True Man, and in His humanity He is still a Jewish man. He obviously transcends every ethnicity, but that’s how He took His humanity, through Jewish lineage. (I’m a black Canadian btw) lol
