Long gone are the days when we used to gaffer tape the dolphin torch to the front guard of the 2 bangers and ride into the night . Solid looking units and bright to match a good choice mate 👌. Cheers 🍻
Hello Josh; Well what a bloody good idea having improved lighting; those pods work very well. Very good on how to install and the night ride to demonstrate the effectiveness of the lights was a great idea. Very good Production on this video! David....Adelaide....Triumph Scrambler 1299X..& 900...
For riding techie trails and getting rid of that "jumping in the dark" not seeing the landing I use a small 1000 lumen Cleanskin light on my peak or atop the lid. Great review!
that stock headlight is a scam; how did it pass ADR? Mid 80's Honda XR's had a better light and they were terrible; I like where you mounted them on the barkbusters; Up high and out of the way; A bit further apart would give a better spread of light but unless you cut the plastic down a bit, not gonna happen...I know where I'll be mounting my lights; Cheers Josh.
Yeah I think the stock halogen is marginally better than that cheapshit LED thing I put in there. And yeah, pretty cool spot to mount them I thought. Could easily angle them outwards a little more to get more peripherals. Cheers good sir 🍻🍻
@@MVDBR Not a fan of the whole LED thing...they can't easily be changed out when they do fail; And they fail more often than people who use them will ever admit; If it can't be fixed, me no like; Not so much about peripherals as much as increasing spread of light over distance; Starting wider gives more light up to where the point of light meets; In saying that, we don't get many options on motorcycles...especially on roosters!
@@markhills3922 those H4 LED replacement bulbs are just as easy to change out as the halogens, but yeah I know what you mean - the LED unit on the T7 for example was not serviceable, break that and it's 1200 rocks for a replacement from Yamaha. Nah yeah nah 🥴
@@MVDBR 1200 Shekels for a light replacement? ouch; who are they trying to kid? A good 'blue' H4 is almost as bright as what the LED's put out; I like the T7 'world raid' but $25k and the price of parts is ridiculous for a bike that needs suspension work and decent crash/damage protection after buying it; Not my job Gangadin
Id say the stock globe is switching in reversed. High is low and low is high
Could well be, that LED bulb I have is a cheap shit piece of crap.
Looks like your stock headlights are wired backwards because your high beams actually get dimmer.
