I'm loving to use this, it's like to have the "EmissionControl2" by Curtis Roads VST version, thank you! But sometimes the Browse button does not work, I don't know why. I'm using Fedora 41, Plugdata 0.9.1 Edit: EB-Blasphemy also do not open the window to select a sample.
This is awesome stuff man, and for free! If I could only make one feature request: more controls over the playback! :) Regardless of whether you decide to put those in or not, thanks for putting this awesome plugin out there.
Best option would to be use your DAWs built-in recorder such as edison. If not, just use the built in one- hit record, select a filename and it will record until you stop :)
Hey man, this is absolutely incredible. I’m totally blind and I like that the interface doesn’t rely on drag and drop or adjusting visual graphs to change the sound, makes it perfect to use with a screen reader. I haven’t tried this yet, but I’m really excited to give it a shot. Do you know if Plugdata is based on JUCE? This would make it likely that the UI is accessible as JUCE has really good accessibility support. Thanks so much, I’m gonna check out all of your plug-ins.
Hey! Thank you, i actually have another few blind users that really appreciate the button to open a sample. It is juce! I'm working on making things as accessable as possible, let me know if there's anything i can do to make this support better
Question: for some reason the grains are not showing on the point display. Also on the fastest playback, its still longer than the original sample by about double Everything seems to be working fine except for that. Any idea as to why? I am running it in plug data and not the plugdata fx vst.
Hello and thanks for this! I can't download it though. I put in my email/tip and click on Get, then the human verifier comes up and nothing happens after that. Any idea why? Thanks for your time!
You can open this thing as a standalone application if it doesn't run well in a DAW. And unfortunately the MP3 issue is a plugdata limitation atm :/ Still a very beta software
Any chance this could become a max4live device? It just suits the ableton environment way better than plugdata. Easier modulation, drag and drop samples, etc...
Looks and sounds amazing. The only problem is that when i try to open the PD file into plugdata it gives me this error that saids "Access violation at address 000000000040425F in module ilbridge.exe. Read of address FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF. " i need help :(

@ewanbristow oh fair, last time we spoke you said a mate was designing the knobs and graphic UI bits for you so I was interested. Who was that person? Either way it's looking and sounding great mate well done
I downloaded it. Can't figure out how to install it... !?! (What do you mean by "run in the plug data environment"?) Installation instructions would be most helpful...
There's a plugin called PlugData, "run in the plug data environment" means this is a plugdata patch, so you install plugdata and open the .pd file with it
@@bastarddonthemove When you downloaded the patch, there was a video underneath the .zip on gumroad. I'll upload it to youtube, as people keep missing it.
Yo Ewan, I'm completely new here (YT algo sent me to this) and I am very interested in this, but on the Gumroad link reviews I see that it's not really working well for people trying to use this outside of plugdata. I also fit that new demographic, idk what plugdata even is, I'm just looking for spectral / granular products to sound design with for a genre called "Botanica" and this seems perfect - if it were developed or wrapped into a VST / AU. I understand this is free and made for Plugdata people, but it does seem your efforts are now scaling up to attracting the attention of people wanting to pay for your plugin and then hoping they can plug it in to their favored regular DAW and go wild with it and expect it to be stable. I'm definitely not saying you must meet that new type of supporter that your developments are scaling to attract, but as one of those people, can I at least ask politely that you consider? Thanks and cheers! Keep up the mad-laddery m8
@@connorsol hi! Thanks for the comment. My goal in this is to make DSP more accessible, and easily teachable. Compiling them just doesn't make sense for this. My god, he really did it. He consolidated all of Au5 into a vst

Excited to experiment with this!
I wish we can use this in the future as drag and drop samples from splice or Ableton Live folders 🙏
