Great to hear you like the plugin! This was one of those "what if..." kinda things that just randomly popped into my head a couple years ago. I should really go back and turn this version (which is meant to be a bit more of a testbed for messing around with ideas) into a proper, easier to use plugin.

Absolutely mental find, it's literally everything I've ever wanted of a spectral plugin all wrapped up in a neat package AND IT'S FREE?????? Mindblown...
It's crazy to hear about Robbert on this channel! Robbert is also the man behind the *yabridge* project, a Win VST2/VST3 wrapper for Linux. Robbert is the reason 90% of all Linux users, including myself, are able to make music on Linux today, so I'm very happy to see him getting the attention he deserves.
@@glowsloth yabridge bridges Win VSTs to native Linux DAWs. If you want to use Ableton Live via Wine, you do not need to use yabridge, but I wouldn't recommend launching a DAW via Wine for any serious music production / work, only for leisure. FWIW, Live 11 works great via Wine, Live 12 is still kinda broken. I personally use Bitwig Studio natively and it's really snappy and easy on system resources.
I've been using his plugins for several years now. And this guy definitely understands what we REALLY need. Disperser on accelerators, external Errosion, linear crossover for multiband processing. And here it is! Spectral compressor! This guy is a genius.
He is great! Crisp technically isn’t erosion, as it ring modulates (multiplies) only the positive waveform values with filtered noise, whereas erosion uses phase modulation from noise. They’re both dope tho.
Did u say linear crossover for multiband?!! Im still wrapping my head around if that’s as crazy as I think it is…but I remember being annoyed trying to use MB to split bass sounds for processing different bands, but hated how it sounded sometimes and changed the phase. You’re telling me that’s not a problem anymore? 👀
This one is wild, good shout! found it out after someone mentioned Diopser. They also did one called Crunch which does wonders for dirtying up clean sounds.

Very glad you found this as well, and found so many more uses for it that I hadn't even considered. I think the ONLY thing that could improve it is a more freeform threshold shaper, but it's really an insane plugin already that I shouldn't be complaining.
@@au5music just realized if you use the sound as both the input and sc signal, put an eq before the sc signal and use the sidechain compression setting then you can use that eq to get a bit more control over the threshold like Soothe has.
