Also Jack's track is a mix of Trance and Techno (tbf, its more Trancey than Techno... that Rumble bass layered & sidechained with the Kick is whats missing). Jack unknowingly created a banger
@@thebreifcaseman269 The d&b was cool. Definitely sounds like d&b as well. It has plenty of styles, he said as well he wanted to go lighter or something in the beginning.
Professional Trance producer here. I'm actually impressed. The pads and lead melodies were really good. Maybe a bit basic oldskool sounding on the drums and bassline, but the melodic foundation was pretty solid @Ocean ! Good work! 😁
as someone that makes beats and electronic music i sometimes forget how different the sonic vocabulary can be, like for me they're all in my brain in like the same bin @@KAKUMEi34
Simon did a nice Liquid D&B tune, kinda LoFi vibrs. Jack's sounds more Eurodance than Techno. Jay's was more Rock than Metal. Ocean's Trance tune was really good.
i feel like this type of video isnt complete without eveyones reactions would be nice everyone being shown the final results live in a discord call or somthing
That was surprisingly good, although heavy metal was definitely the hardest. For the NEXT one, would love to see you guys push yourselves...do genres that are typically acoustic heavy: Country, Jazz, Acoustic Singer-Songwriter, Orchestral
I started my path of music production many years ago and I always worked on completely different genres and styles. I never wanted to focus on one and now there's almost no genre I'm not averagely good at. My only focus is "Strength" in my music.
Breh, I'ma need to hear whole beats moving forward. I like what you guys do in these challenges and I want to enjoy the projects and learn from them once finished. Thank you for doing this in the first place though
Use your xlr mic instead of the lav one. It would make the video more satisfying to watch. The lav one sound metallic and throws off the professional vibe
I really feel like there are way more difficult genres to make haha. Prog/tech metal, bebop jazz (truly a nightmare to try and make digitally), noise rock would be pretty awkward, basically anything in shifting time. These are hard genres to make for trap producers - which tbf I suppose is the premise of the video lol.
I like how all of them are electronic except just “heavy metal” Surprised IDM/braindance wasn’t on here though, that shit takes serious work and dedication to make a single track just because it’s so intricate.
Full disclosure: I do not make money from music. I am just a random nerd. 5/4 breakcore at 165+bpm is interesting tho. The polyrhythms write themselves to a degree.
Hmmm. This is an interesting video. For DnB, I would have added a deep rolling sub bass. The synchopation is cool. Your trance is good and actually works well with Big Room! When it comes to metal, I believe it needs to be performed instead of computer generated. I have a guit fiddle I use for samples if I need them! :D
15:44 Its not heavy metal. Its ultra lite metal 😅Actually Its Rock. I wonder, some musicians dont know how other genres looks like. So bad. Dont just limit your brain. Understand every type of music and listen. Every genre music have good and great tracks. 16:41 Thats not a techno. Its like house music. How you guys becomes producers? Putting 140 Bpm kick will not becomes techno. Techno is kind of fat kick and punch, with agressive patterns. There are so many sub genres in techno. 17:22 its not Trance. Its same the guy who did techno. Its house music. Not the proper house. Its kinda club house. House also have so many sub genres, mix genres. Nobody comes close the given genres. So disappointing.
Simon came the closest, entertaining video all around though :) would love to hear a 1 week challenge where you try to replicate the style of an artist in a completely different genre (basically this concept but 1 week long lmaidjfiooshugu9e0i[ako)
That was sick 😂 thanks for having me bro
Weak ass beat
lowkey slaps bro
High key slaps bro
Cactus cooked
U Killed it
The only thing this needed was a listen through and reactions from the others at the end
up
Just see this and I’m not watching it now 😂
I'm a Techno producer now 😂 thanks for having me on bro!
Wanna hear this production tho, sounds epic
You did good actually. I transitioned to edm and it's not easy. Lol
Actually really nice try, maybe you release it on Apple music Spotify or RUclips music?I would definitely add it to playlist 😃
THIS IS NOT TECHNO !!! THIS IS TRANCE !!!
Not bad bro 😅😅😅
I thank the Gods everyday that I didnt get heavy metal
Simon would lowkey be an insane metalhead
BECAUSE ITS EAR NOISE
i love hoiw the metal turned into post punk
I was hoping you got the metal…. I think you’d know how to make better metal.
your dnb beat is amazing bro, you should do a tutorial on how to do dnb
I want to see them react to each other's creations
This is what I was waiting for
Yeah, that's kind of the whole point of doing a video like this. Big fail to not include reactions.
Also Jack's track is a mix of Trance and Techno (tbf, its more Trancey than Techno... that Rumble bass layered & sidechained with the Kick is whats missing). Jack unknowingly created a banger
Yeah it sounded cool!
yeah not close to techno
Simon already using techniques from his all drums video. I love to see it!
ive tried to make dnb and simons drums that he made in 2 minutes are better than any of the ones if made lmao idk how to dnb
as an edm and metal producer, this hurts.
Same here, I make drum and bass and I'm not even that Great at it and my god the sound selection was dreadful 😂
"heavy metal" mans made pop punk lmao
Bro has never heard a guitar in his life
Bro fr I just watched this and had to laugh..

i wanted to see big room haha
That trance beat sounded great!! I think this video needs a reaction of the other producers on eachothers beat. That finishes it off
as an electronic producer was hard for me to see how key elements of the genre were missing
they are more or beat makers so
as someone that makes beats and electronic music i sometimes forget how different the sonic vocabulary can be, like for me they're all in my brain in like the same bin @@KAKUMEi34
as a heavy metal producer, well, need i say more?
Can we hear your tunes then?
Your sounds are shocking even on your shorts, where’s you tracks as you claim to be a producer? Your a dreamer kid
The heavy metal song 💀
Simon will never lose! He can do anything.
He’s great but idk if he won
The “techno” tune was more trance than the trance tune
I AGREE!
Simon did a nice Liquid D&B tune, kinda LoFi vibrs.
Jack's sounds more Eurodance than Techno.
Jay's was more Rock than Metal.
Ocean's Trance tune was really good.
Jay. The prodigy - serial thrilla vibe

Ocean this was an amazing trance song. Literally speechless👍🏽
Simon be like "vocal chops" and it's the most Simon vocal you've ever heard 😂
That drum and bass track was sick
Thanks for having me not in the video, It was fun doing nothing❤❤😂
Today's sponsor. If you want to make horrible noise from your recorded horrible noise then look no further 😂
My man made eurodance instead of techno 😭
Man i wish you added a part where you all listened to the finished tracks and gave some feedback
Really enjoyed this
Add Hardstyle next time, great video
The Metal one was hilarious
Love seeing the process
Loved your Garage episode- looking forward to the release!!🤩
jack has to release this one ASAP
My first time watching content like this. Very enjoyable but just needed more of the final tracks. The vocal on the techno one sounded so good
That was surprisingly good, although heavy metal was definitely the hardest.

ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLY AND ENDLESLY EASY BASIC SIMPLISTIC AND ELEMENTARY GENRES AND IN ABSOLUTELY NO WAY "difficult" LOVE YOUR TALENT
i think the same. these genres are the easiest ones to make if you just listen couple songs.
@@jedia766let me hear your dnb song….
@@jedia766 are you serious? Techno and heavy metal results sounds like shit imo

If you do this again, can you throw in some xtra raw/hardcore ?
Everybody killed it for producing out of your comfort zone 💯
That is some solid Trance track you had there mate!
One of the most entertaining and interesting videos out there. I enjoyed every second of this video.
I started my path of music production many years ago and I always worked on completely different genres and styles. I never wanted to focus on one and now there's almost no genre I'm not averagely good at. My only focus is "Strength" in my music.
This was fun to watch everyone doing their thing....good job guys!!!
The Thumbnail Made me straight Watch this Amazing Video. Love that all of you Accept the Challenge (not your Favorite Genre) 😂😂😂
Man i'm not into heavy metal but Jay made a masterpiece
An interesting follow up would be to send each track to producers that actually work with those genres and see what they would do with them
those vocals ocean did had me like 😬🤮🤔🤓😎🔥
I think getting everyone in a call at the end to react to each others tracks would be dope!
BRO WHEN YOUR BIILLIE ELLISH VOCALS CAME BACK , I FELL OUT LAUPHIN N YALL HAD MY BUDDY JACK STRESSED OUT HAHAHA
Let’s get all the producers doing ama piano, Afro tech and house in the next video 😂❤
dnb: Nailed it 100%
Trance: good, but a bit fast and bit to hard dropping
heavy metal: sounds a bit cheesy
techno: what the fuck is that shit
Ocean's vocals 😂
low-key all fire
Breh, I'ma need to hear whole beats moving forward. I like what you guys do in these challenges and I want to enjoy the projects and learn from them once finished. Thank you for doing this in the first place though
Really cool video and beats, cheers from Germany
Up next: UK Dubstep
Yo, this just came up on my feed, amazing videos, Ocean!
Prodjack cracks me up.... His reaction to the drop 😂😂😂
Good job lads smashed it..
