Hi! I also have the ET-8550 (l8180 European) and I’m looking for the best paper for my automotive fine art photography, with darker areas and gradients. What would you recommend from what you tested? Unfortunately this pack is not available anymore and probably I will get the A4 instead. Thank you!
Which printer did you use for these tests? A pigment ink one? If you can, please print the same (duck) photo on the same Hahnemühle Baryta FB paper, on a dye ink printer and compare and contrast the two prints. Thanks.
Thank you. This is another very interesting video. And great photos by the way. I just picked 5 picked 5 different Hahnemühle papers for printing my photos.
Thank you, very informative. Question: For someone who's not familiar with this paper, would it be possible to paint with watercolors on top of a printed photograph on this particular paper?
Have the same Hahnnemeuhle test pack, haven't used it yet, so thanks for the tips Tim👍 I have used Fotospeeds test pack just the other day and loved the results of the metallic lustre and still have to get through the rest of the pack😀. just used epson generic profiles for the ET 8550 so i must get the correct icc profiles for the paper choices sometime sooner rather than later. Still learning😇
I just bought the test pack, after having seen this video as I peaked my interest :) I have started with the photo rag papers: Metallic, Baryta, Pearl looks really god - Good sharpness, nice colors and unique effects... But when I comes til the photo rag satin, is seems like there is a notisable drop in sharphed... Is it just the way of the paper? Or do I do something wrong? I'm using AM1X paper profiles, uploaded to my Canon Pro-1000 and integrated in driver. Paper is selected both on the printer and in the driver. ICC color profile chosen in Lightroom, and I tried both with "glossy" and "Matte" setting in Lightroom...
Tim, another of your „delicious“ reviews with great expertise! Thanks, it helped me find a path through the paper jungle.
You are welcome, glad it was helpful!
Those paper look amazing....that aside, loving the new set for your videos! Looking good! 🙂
Glad you like them!
Very tempted with the photo rag satin. B&W & colour. Very interesting video.
Thanks for watching!
After testing this and other test packs on my ET-8550, Photo Rag Satin is my prefered paper for all of my images!
It is amazing!
Glad you have found your favourite!

I picked the Photo Rag Pearl and the FineArt Baryty of the glossy papers.
Good choices, hope you enjoy printing on them.
I noticed a few head stikes. Please do a short video on how to mitigate against head strikes.

Great to hear! Yes the generics don't give quite the same results.
Awesome review, like the matt fine art textured one. When will we see also a review of the Matt Fine Art Smooth? Thanks
I have a link below for the Smooth Test for you,

Why did Hahnehuhle discontinue (at least in the US) Glossy FineArt Baryta 325 gsm? What is their replacement for it?
Of all your papers, using a pigment ink printer (eg Epson P700/900), which gives the deepest blacks?
Like most products from EU generally it is of good quality but extremely overpriced, most likely do to government over regulation.
how funny : how to use ??? now where exactly in this time wasting video do you do that :)
