Up until a few years ago, all my trail trucks had HH 27T Trailmasters (yup it's a 3-slot). Great motor at a great price with the right number of turns for trailing imo. Basically, you can't go wrong, especially if you pair it with a Hobbywing 1080. Ultimately I switched over to the five-slot Holmes Crawlmaster (around 15T -- the roughly equivalent turn count) which I found to be smoother than the 3-slot at super slow crawling, and much better going from a dead stop to inching forward when you need precision the most -- like say driving across a gorge on a two-stick bridge. And I noticed no loss of torque, so the switch to Crawlmasters was a win-win. As someone else suggested, the new Fusion SE might be the way of the future. I've got the 1800kv version in my go-to truck and it's impressive. One or two new videos on my channel, eh. Thanks for posting. Keep them coming and enjoy the great weather.
Love that TRX-4 high trail especially in blue. I have brown one because at the time no one had the blue one. I’m really thinking about that Holmeshobbies crawlmaster motor.
@@damedcamera were you using the trail master or the crawl master? I have never changed a motor before but did you use a 550 or 540? Seems to be more options in 540 just not sure if it’s too small to mount up in the TRX4. Thank you sir
@holmeshobbys for the win! I have there trailmaster 27t motors and recently have been trying the 12t crawl master amazing! Specially in the trx4 platform
Looks good, sounds good, and Molly's looking great, too. Hope the water recedes enough this week before the next rain comes. Keep on truckin, and stay safe.
It IS a great looking truck! The whine of a cheap brushed ESC doesn't bother me as much as the price of a brushless system! Dogs live carrion! Be happy it was a frog or something like that instead of something big enough to roll in😆! Great crawling(mostly)! Nice trail you found, lots of fun to be had crawling over logs.
Awesome dude! Was jw tho are there any added weights to the truck? That would be hard-core for super realistic I'd love to see. Either way tho, what u do is dope, keep at eh!
Love it! I just found a trail that is similar terrain to what you run on and want to get better tires for trailing.. Thinking either the flat irons or Krawlers.. Or somethings else haha
I have to thank you. Canadians for, Sending Nebraska a bunch of your Canadian smoke sir Anyway. I hate smoke especially when I wake up it's all over the place. Anyway good video?❤

I’ve got 2021 bronco, I’m looking to up grade my motor. Question I’ve got a 3800kv castle motor in my 6x6 it’s to fast. Do you have a trail truck/ crawler brushless motor you can recommend. Traxxas bluetooth link thingy you can set your drag break I believe. I have one just to lazy to look. Love the RUclips shorts Sending love from Orangevale Ca.
It’s almost impossible to recommend something to someone. I haven’t tried very many systems lately. Hobbywing for escs and motor combos and holms hobby brushed is what I’m told are the best options lately
@@damedcamera I’ve only got one 10th scale with a brushless motor. I like the Holmes motors as well. I’m going down tomorrow to get a Holmes 27t thanks for the help.
9:50 "Sometimes the truck chooses the path.... Sometimes the truck is wrong." That's one for the books! 🤣😂
lmao absolutely
Hi Lyle it's really nice to see you out there having fun w/Molly & Big blue.
Precious times,👍 have fun my friend!
LOL Great words of wisdom there. "Sometimes the truck chooses the path. Sometimes the truck is wrong." 👍
Thank you, I was proud of that timing lol
Awesome Lyle Just home from work watching now
Cool truck. Thanks for the video and I hope the water subsided soon for you.
😎👍
I love holmes hobby motors. 12t trailmaster in my traxxas oval slash 2wd, and a 35t trailmaster in my tf2. Both brushed and awesome!
Holms makes great products 👍
Awesome upgrade, truck looks super smooth! Great video as always and I'm looking forward to more :)
Thank you 👍
Yeah that servo kind of buried in there, It's kind of a pain getting in out, right?, And back in.,🇺🇸🐕
Nice upgrade for sure ! I really like the old 5 slot mag wheels too ! Until the next time, Fire In The Hole !
They are nice 😎
Good to see you and Molly out hitting the trails Lyle😁👍🦘🇦🇺
Thank you 😊
For good mud you gotta have a little clay mixed with soil, black dirt ain't gonna cut it. Hello Molly!
🦮👋
Awesome video lyle bro 👊🏼🤙🏼🇬🇧💨💨💨
Thanks bud 😎👍
Always good to see an RC AThletes Trail run video! Great work buddy! Always have to find that MUD don't you!?! LOL
I wish I could find a good spot 👍
Awesome! Thanks for sharing! My dog Ruby joins me every video! Good for us and them!

This is sensored brushless now. But the holms was amazing while it was in there 👍

That truck is gorgeous in the water! Awesome video Lyle! 🤙🏻 Molly just has to take a dip🤣
Yeah, the blue truck looks amazing.
Water dog for sure
Awesome! Be nice with the water low again. F@#k that truck looks gooood man. Great vidja! 😎👍

Certainly my go to now. Best brushed motor I’ve ever run

That’s western Canada. They’re not having a good time
OK.
Thank Goodness👌🌩 that stupid water is backing off
The Trailmaster series is 3 slot and the Crawlmaster is 5 slot
Good video. Nice trail run with a nice truck. Hi Molly!
🦮👋
hahahaah "molly taking a shit" 2:32 thats great 1
She’s shameless lol
@@damedcamera I love it !
Love the look of this rig. Personally I am a Huge RC4WD crawler motor Fan anything from 35 - 60 turn depending on gearing. great run. :)
They are well priced too 👍
Loving the content Lyle. Keep it coming. What do you think of the new Blazer High Trail?
I'm just here to watch Molly. :)
She’s a fun dog lol
Looks like a nice upgrade, great trails.
Thank you!
I appreciate your swamp references, but I live near the Dismal Swamp in VA/NC, So yeah , not a real swamp lol! Love your channel!
Swamp life 😎 lol, thank you!
A sound kit would be cool on that truck. And my dog does the same thing when it comes to water. (Doesn’t want to stay dry) 😂
I’m not a big fan of sound kits except for semi trucks
The Trailmaster and Torquemaster are 3 slot the Crawlmaster is the 5 slot
👍
Hey Lyle could to see you again hope everything is good hope your smoking on something good i am
Lol 💨💨
Looks super smooth with the new motor but holy hell is it squealy on camera !!
Have you had a look at the Hobbywing Fusion SE? Gives you less tuning options than the Pro but it's $80 for the 1800kv and $70 for the 1200kv.
I put one in my rig two weeks ago and it's impressive. Those be US prices above eh?
@@NaturallyRC Yeah US prices. Hopefully CA doesn't get shafted with prices

Great video. Have you thought about cutting some of the lugs. I did on a set of stock tires and they worked a bit better
Not spending the time on these. Might swap them out in the future. We’ll see
Hey sup bro
nice run lyle

I’ve noticed that the Chevy body rubs more than the ford … I ordered the brown ford .
