That was the way it was with my last husband. When I was leaving he told me not to take too much because he didn't want to haul it all back. He didn't get that I was the Hell out of there. After I left he started talking to me and bringing flowers to my work. He was years too late.
My ex-husband is appreciating my absence. He used to never appreciate everything I did as a SAHM and everything I did. He always used to down play everything I did, complained when I asked him to cook a meal, wash the kids, put them down for bed, take out the trash, ect. He'd complain how tired he was working all day and all I did was sit at home all day taking care of the kids. How simple and easy work that is compared to his construction work. His new g/f works at nights while he works during the day. Soon as he gets home she leaves for work and he had to watch all three of his kids(two are mine and the other one is with his g/f), cleaning, cooking, feeding them, washing them, helping with homework, ect. With this recent pandemic and school canceled he suddenly wanted me to take the kids early and hasn't asked for them back. I keep reaching out to him asking when he wants me to bring them back because according to our agreement this is his time with them before I gain physical custody of them at the end of july. But w/e. All I know is he is to proud to admit how much I did and was calling me every now and then to talk about his day and how tired out he is and how the kids have been acting even going so far as to call me just to distract the kids so he could get a few moments of peace.

He gave them back to her but according to the agreement it's his turn with the kids now and he's not wanting to deal with the work it takes to care for them. He didn't appreciate her hardwork and now he's gotta deal with the consequences of it 🤷🏽♀️

It's got such an up beat twang to it, but the character is just fed up of being ignored and is simply done. Parents had a bad marriage so I clung to these types of songs on people healthy enough to know when enough is enough. You should do Loretta Lynn's don't come home'a drinking (not a spelling error) or Tammy Wynette's D-I-v-o-r-c-e. These women are queens of country and these were such controversial songs at the time. It really helps you see the evolution of country
