Yes I prefer to deprime and prime off press for my Lee presses only the Dillon presses have a better priming system so I deprime and prime on those presses Lee's priming system has always been a little inadequate thanks for watching!
For your powder Cop did you use the Lee Decapping Die SKU 90292 for $15.98...It says on the Lee site that it doesn't do any resizing. I can't find one of their dies that is a sizing/decapper...Love your setup...I am just setting up my Lyman 8 and also use the Lee APP for decapping and the Lee ACP for priming...Would love to set up my Lyman 8 just like yours. Thanks for the great information...Charles
Haven't re loaded for 36 years, looking to start again. I was told to go directly to Dillon progressive, but like the turit press. Set up with bullet feed and powder drop. Would you suggest to stat slow and move to progressive maybe later 🤔
Alot has changed in 36 years especially pricing I'm not sure what your budget is the All American 8 is a great press for a good price the priming system is a major complaint among reloaders I prime/deprime on a Lee APP Press for under $100 that press is amazing the Dillon xl750 that I use is very costly for the press and components it took me 15 years to decide to buy one its definitely one of the best progressive press out there if you want a less expensive progressive the new Lee Pro 6 Pack has 6 stations and once set up is a great choice I always recommend to start out with a single stage and progess from there hope this helps and thanks for watching!
You have answerd alot of questions. I have another one. Is it easier to chage dies for different calibers or just get several turets set for different calibers? Really appreciate your input.
It's easier to get several turrets set em and forget em..Lee is of course a lot less expensive than Dillon depending on your budget will determine this
Great content!! I’m wanting a second press now to tinker with stuff. I have the apex 10. Wanting to something with more control and to deprime before cleaning. I’ve been looking at the 550 and a few turret presses. Wanting something I can single load for testing/eld yet still deprime all my other calibers with. Any recommendations?
There's various choices I can tell you what works for me Lee's APP press is a fantastic press for deprime...prime...bullet sizing and debulging for less than $100..I have numerous presses my recommendation is Lee Pro 6000 Sixpack with 6 stations if you want a Dillon then the xl750 works like a dream and of course the Lyman All American 8 thanks for watching!
Have you used any other turret presses? If so how’s the Lyman stack up? In my mind it seems to be a nice press and 8 stations would put it above the rest.
That's the only turret press I have there is no reason for me to purchase another brand this press works flawlessly on the other hand I do have multiple progressive presses all are Lee Precision but I did just purchase a Dillon XL750 which puts my Lee's second best thanks for watching!
@Roger Van Varick you are going to be shell shocked at prices these days for components but I would never discourage someone getting into reloading thanks for watching!
@Roger Van Varick I just recently retired in July this hobby will keep you busy for sure always had to find time when working but now everyday is a Saturday enjoy!
The way you skin a cat is different, but the end result is the same. I prefer the Six Pack Pro for pistol calibers and the Classic Turret Press for rifle.
Sounds good I have only lever rifles and a ruger pc9 they all fire pistol rounds that keeps me busy enough I have a dedicated press for each caliber the Dillon xl750 was a big game changer for me all other presses are Lee except the All American 8 which is setup for 44mag thanks for watching!
Really nice set up. I like the 3d printed lever
Thanks!
That decapping die used to check the charge is pretty slick!
If you haven’t already could you do a video on your setup. Pretty slick!
I'm not sure what you mean this video shows my setup thru all 5 stations anyway I can help I will
@@reloader523yes, but a more in-depth video on installing the bullet feed and powder measure
Nice video, thanks for posting.
Like that de capping pin as a powder check, nice
Great video thank you. Do you find it better to prime separately, rather than use the turret?

Yes 90292 is correct if you are looking for a 44mag sizing/decapper die the SKU is 90531 hope this helps and thanks for watching!
grabagun.com has them for $23.39
Wow I need this set up.

El abastecedor de puntas me interesa
Fajne filmy to i do polski docierają.
Sehr gut aber langsam
What die do you use to act as the powder cop? Very clever
The Lee sizing/decapper die just have to loosen the top nut so decapper pin moves freely thanks for watching!
