Tank pads/grips are mainly used for your knees to hold the tank firmly and it provides better grips especially in those scenarios when you're doing high speed filtering and cruising in highways and when you suddenly apply brakes hardly then sometimes you lean forward because your knees slips through the tank due to inertia, so for these scenarios these pads help you to hold the tank tightly without slipping.
