Have covered over 7200 kms in 2 years and had no issues so far. It's USP is its comfortable riding dynamics, light clutch, good ground clearance, all led illumiation, sweet sound exhaust and its ability to ride at higher gears at lower speeds particularly in ever increasing traffic conditions in India .
Considering the rising fuel cost and inflation in Europe these motorcycles like Ronin may give a big economical advantage over costly motorcycles . Specially like commuting to office or college or work in the city .
I wasn't expecting to see TVS in Europe tbh, but otherwise I quite like your video! I live in Indonesia, and here, the price and the market situation is completely different compared to Europe or India. Here, its closest competitors are Yamaha XSR155 (~2200 euro, converted) and SM Master 200 (~2500 euro, converted). TVS Ronin 225 is actually the cheapest (~2000 euro, converted). Forget about the likes of Triumph and Royal Enfield, as they're much more expensive here (Royal Enfield meteor 350 starts at ~6000 euro, converted) I tried Ronin at my local dealership, I didn't really like its color but I quite like its seating position. However it's too heavy for me (~160kg?) since us Indonesian have smaller stature compared to Indian or European
I was looking into it last year but with me being 5'6" and at 70kgs, am quite lightweight for this one. So went ahead and bought a TVS NTorq scooter. That one has done 7000km in a year and has worked out great for me.
That Meteor 350 pricing is truly absurd. Here in India the price of Ronin is exactly the same as Hunter 350, hence doesn't sell well. No wonder I have only seen 1 Ronin even in Delhi (with a massive population of 33Mn)
If you think Ronin is heavy for you try Hunter 350 its 20 kg more heavy. Enfield and Tvs both makes bike for Indian customer need wise products. Africa, south Aisa and last Europe arent their main customers
That's typical of mainly first world citizens. They think big company equals big price tag and vice versa. Hence, the mention of 'small company' and 'cheap price' being mentioned in the same sentence over and over again. And that's how first world companies operate too! Just see apple!
@@ZLone93256 owning Norton dosent makes great. Biggest brand ? Even Hero is bigger brand. So what ? Size dosent matters. Quality and Technology matters. TVS lacks both. They are good at 100cc commuter. Nothing else.

Did you face any starting problems with the ronin? Like engine cranking but not starting first couple of times and then starting in the third or fourth time?
Lol wasn't expecting to see this TVS in the hands of international reviewers Edit:- it's no scrambler, it's a wierd crossover between a scrambler and a cruiser. Yeah doesn't sell well in India either. Comfy city commuter though
Yes it's a crossover but not weird. It's actually a very balanced machine targeted to young and beginner riders who wants to use their bike for occasional touring and daily city rides. Their are plenty of bikes in market for different purposes like adventure, tourer , scrambler, sporty....but you can't buy all . Customer must understand their purpose then choose. I've seen many sad customers of Royal Enfield as well as I've also seen many happy customer of Hero super splendor. If the rider is good he will surely find a way to get the best performance of his bike.
Very stupid comment. I guess you haven't ridden the bike well. I personally own tvs ronin & ridden almost 20,000km in 1 year, very balanced machine with enough power (I used to cruise at 90-100 with saddle, tank bag and with pillion), seating position top notch with lots of features and good power to weight ratio. You can ride it in the city, bumper to bumper traffic, do some little off-road, anything. A very well built and smooth machine by tvs. At least better than any bike in this price segment.
@@arindamchowdhury4231 I found it weird because a scrambler shines in the rough stuff while a cruiser is the exact opposite, good for TVS though, tried something different and unique. And RE very rarely has happy customers, most of them haven't ridden it for long or haven't lived with it long enough. It was all mechanical issues before the twins and J series, after this it was mainly electrical or SC messing up. If your luck was really bad then mechanical issues too. The point was, this bike isn't the one for me. Ik any bike can be a touring bike but 20hp out on the highway is just a sedate cruiser, not into it anymore. The front forks are from Showa and the breaks are from ByBre, i.e. By Brembo - the budget version of Brembo. TVS has worked a lot in this bike, and it's beautiful. It's not flop like some other comments say, because Royal Enfield's Hunter completely eats Ronin's market share. My only problem with Ronin is that it's just too small. TVS is also supposed to be working on a larger and better Scrambler based on Ronin, we'll see.
I got a TVS Ronin this year for regular city usage and it is a fantastic bike. Its an all-rounder with good build quality, good looks as well as good mileage. On average I get around 40 Km/liter in the city and around 50 Km/liter on highways, cruising at around 100 kmph. For context I have a Ninja 1000SX and a ScorpioN as well

Pretty amazing to know that Ronin is coming to Europe. I am quite surprised as to why you didn't mention how super refined the engine is. Its buttery smooth and on top of that a light clutch and crisp gear box muaah the best combination. Ronin is a perfect city bike with enough torque to do quick overtakes at the lights. It is not suitable for long distance touring mainly because of its seat which gets pretty damn uncomfortable after a while. Wish it had a tad bit more power but can't get everything you wish for can you. And for the video creators reference TVS never claimed Ronin to be a scrambler. It quite oddly falls into a unnamed category that neither TVS can explain neither the consumer.
I got the bike when it was launched in India within 1 week. I took a test ride of 3 other bikes before purchasing but the moment I sat on it, I knew that it was the one. It's very comfortable and reliable. Took it to different terrains and it performed on each one of them.
as someone who has wonder around Nepal and India, on roads and off with a Honda cliq scooter, some of the people i have met in Nepal especially on their big, imported bikes looked at me like i was crazy. All you need is 2 wheels and a dream, and enough pickup to get up the slope.

Ronin is a direct combetitor of hunter 350. Just do a comparison video since the price ranges almost same in India( don't know about EU) and also the power is almost similar. Yes for highways like in EU this bike seems underpowered, but if in India this bike is good one with great mileage also
Hopefully TVS put their newly developed 300 cc engine in the Ronin and tune it to make 27 bhp and 27 NM of torque at 3000 rpm, which could result in a higher cruising speed of 100-110kmph and a top speed of 140-150 kmph. Also increase the wheelbase to 1420-1430 m and strengthenthe rear frame, to easily accomodate larger sized riders along with a pillion and luggage. Also increase rear tyre width to atleast 140mm, fuel tank capacity to 16 litres, with a seat hieght of 800mm. This will surely be a great product to go up against the Royal Enfield 350cc J series platform.
TVS is a good brand & personally I've owned few models of TVS Starting with the TVS Suzuki Supra, Shogun, Fiero, TVS Victor, TVS Apache, TVS Jupiter & ofcourse the legendry TVS XL for this one for my staff. I've tried the TVS Ronin and i liked the bike wasn't very happy with the colours as i prefer single color black but then it was available only in the base variant... Glad to know TVS is spreading its wings globally...👍🏻
u have to stand on pillion foot rest while off-roading .as owner I won't deny it has no good looks but , forgetting that fact it enjoyable at some part.😅
TVS is reliable. I own a TVS Raider 125 and have ridden it over 23000km in last 3 years without any major issues( i changed rear tyre and chain sprocket only)
Ooohh. I have the same color. using it for last one year. And lemme tell you choosing this bike is one of the best decision of my life. It cost me around Rs. 2.7 lakhs here in India. At this price i guess no bike provides you adjustable brake leaver and clutch. That slipper clutch really really helps. Also That GTT helps a lot in traffic jams. My wife loves the pillion seat. Its nice and comfortable. And yes it has the capability of mild Off roading. Your back will thank you thats for sure😅😅. And the mileage. Thats cheery on the top. I do bike trips and its a perfect choice. Easily crusies 80-90. Also i rode it at about 127km/h once . I am not a big fan of high speed. But this bike is more capable than you think. Its a wonderful wonderful bike. ❤❤❤
I am telling you If you loved this bike please give a try to Yezdi Roadster its a bargain for its proce and is a perky Little performance packed machine
If Indians are buying this bike according to our roads and streets and doing off roading and highway rides and long rides too, then it's very good choice for EU streets
Brother it does not have riding modes.. the modes button is only for the ABS. Rain and urban mode.. in rain the ABS will intervene more and in urban mode there will be less intevention. Actually this makes a lot of sense as in rainy season in India on a slippers road rain ABS mode works perfectly fine. Hope this helps. I think a person who does not have a preconceived notion will be able to judge TVS Ronin better.
Thanks for clearing that up. But I wouldn't say that I had a preconceived notion, although I am for sure used to a different kind of motorcycling, which probably is true for every European rider. But I really liked and appreciated the Ronin for its sturdiness and the pure joy of riding it provided. Cheers, yoyr McGregor ✌️
Checked out the bike, seems pretty robust. The features and functionality it offers as compared to the hunter 350 is amazing. Better suspensions and everything.
TVS indian company, gald to see in Europe hope it get successful. As per my info it's oil cooled also it's made as per india/africa mindset focusing on mileage with decent power. Build quality is good.
@wonderingbeast1701 This bike 310R has cruze control, quick shifter, intelligent head lighting ( with speed the light intensity increases) , multiple riding modes and can be ridden over 155 kmph speeds.

Ronin means a samurai without a coach it's not a cruiser nor a scrambler it's one of its own
Jack of all, master of none
@@ParanoidDharmasbut often times better than master of one.
Ronin should use this line in their ads
BMW has partnered with TVS to manufacture 310 GS and 310 R for the world
TVS is a good brand & personally I've owned few models of TVS Starting with the TVS Suzuki Supra, Shogun, Fiero, TVS Victor, TVS Apache, TVS Jupiter & ofcourse the legendry TVS XL for this one for my staff. I've tried the TVS Ronin and i liked the bike wasn't very happy with the colours as i prefer single color black but then it was available only in the base variant... Glad to know TVS is spreading its wings globally...👍🏻
Great review and objective off roading opinion ! It may not be an Enduro bike but it'll take many places throgh different type of roads
Holy moly, i havent seen this in Gurgaon yet, and here you are in Europe with a Ronin. Have fun buddy.
Ps.. probably i live under a huge rock..
TVS builds the 310GS for BMW.
Nice review….happy you chose a bike from my country
I bought one a few months ago for my family in India. I love it. Am gonna get myself one when it's available in Italy too.
u have to stand on pillion foot rest while off-roading .as owner I won't deny it has no good looks but , forgetting that fact it enjoyable at some part.😅
It's not air cooled, it's an oil cooled engine
Both
TVS is reliable. I own a TVS Raider 125 and have ridden it over 23000km in last 3 years without any major issues( i changed rear tyre and chain sprocket only)
Memang sepeda motor TVS Ronin sangat nyaman di kendarai utk perjalanan jauh , kompak dan imbang
❤❤❤
TVS Ronin..... Oh boy...
A lot of times more reliable than a Royal Enfield (experience). I can take this bike anywhere, as long as there is at least a track I can ride along!
TVS manufacturers the 310cc bikes from BMW and they have bought Norton Motorcycles recently. They are pretty reliable motorcycles in India.
Nice video. Bring good perspective
It's great to see TVS dwelve in the EU markets after so much of Royal Enfields ❤
Where are the other two Videos you talked about in the start.... Can't find it anywhere
Small correction, but TVS is from Hosur, not Mysore (I thought I heard you say the latter)
i think Ronin is manufactured in mysore
@@balajimurali interesting, I had no idea
@@atyantabhava345 they have a plant in mysore as well.. nice plant
I am telling you If you loved this bike please give a try to Yezdi Roadster its a bargain for its proce and is a perky Little performance packed machine
Damn tvs reached Europe. Lets go🎉🎉
The price to value ratio is unbeatable
I know it's more expensive, but I'd probably go for the Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450.
If Indians are buying this bike according to our roads and streets and doing off roading and highway rides and long rides too, then it's very good choice for EU streets
Wow I thought you were an Indian making a video in the Alps
Didn't knew TVS reached Europe
Built like a tank
Damn, I never knew this was Manufactured in my City (Mysuru, Karnataka) I knew we had TVS factory but didn't expected this to be made there
One thing i know for sure is TVS bikes are very reliable compared to royal Enfield.
TVS engines are most reliable among Indian motorcycle brands.
For reference.. a Pinarello Dogma cost roughly $12.000
It's TVS Ronin, a popular home grown Indian two wheeler brand.
Looks like a simple and practical machine.
Ronin is compact , good for daily commute , comfortable seating position for long rides
This is a day to day do-it-all bike 👌🏽 don't have it but I think it's cool
What TVS has reached Europ they recently bought Norton....
4:53 slow bike is fun to ride bro
Here in India it is considered as cruiser rather than a scrambler, and the pro-type for this was also a cruiser, so.
TVS indian company, gald to see in Europe hope it get successful.
As per my info it's oil cooled also it's made as per india/africa mindset focusing on mileage with decent power.
Build quality is good.
❤Love from India 🇮🇳
Shoo shoo Indian roti
😂😂😂@@rumplestilskin223
Awesome.. TVS so value for money
Tvs is an indian company.their flagship bike is apache 310 rtr.this bike has heated and cooled seat.its a streetfighter naked bike.
@wonderingbeast1701 This bike 310R has cruze control, quick shifter, intelligent head lighting ( with speed the light intensity increases) , multiple riding modes and can be ridden over 155 kmph speeds.
I have been used ronin from two years it’s a good bike 👍
Tvs is known for reliable engines with low cost maintenance costs in india, because there is 9-10 bike companies in India Tvs is among top 3 because of its reliability.
Tvs makes one of the most reliable motorcycles. They are coming in hot, EU. Wait for a few more years for big bikes. Also, Ronin is their most meh product tbh. But its still better than the RE411.
They are not 🚫,
I see and can hear the screatch sound when u do hard bend.
The base price of ronin in india is 1350 euro
What ! struggle at 90 to 100 with a 220 motor ? way back in 2009 I hit 120 easily with my Pulsar 180 with a pillion.
TVS is the manufacturer of BMW motorcycles under 500 cc and they own British motorcycle company Norton
Fascinating
I'm a proud TVS apache owner ❤
Indian bike reviewed and tested by international youtuber is a kind of proudest thing for TVS 😊
Bro the suspension is from showa
Proud Tvs bike owner 😎
I own this bike, absolutely sweet
I heard it's using oil cooling system instead of liquid cooling?
Is it worth it?
TVS in Europe??
Didn't know they got TVS!!😮
3800 Euro with import duty, In India it is much cheaper.
I just got my license(india) and i am thinking of getting this as my first motorcycle. So far i really like it, but I'll decide after getting a test ride
Edit: Got it! It's a blast to ride
it is a good bike but it went against RE in pricing and it was beaten badly in India😢
Tvs is a major bike company
Fun Fact : This unknown brand made Apache RR 310
6 months ownership, completed 10k KM, only complain suspension could be softer, rest on point.
How tall are you (riding tvs)? i'm 180cm, is it still confy too ride it?
