Good morning Stel. Two young lads with good potential. The Man City lad looks like a bag of tricks already..let us hope we can get the best out of him. The Luis Brown signing really pleases me. My first full season in the Old Chicken Run was in 1963/64 which culminated in our first FA Cup win. Luis's grandad Ken was our centre-half alongside the immortal Bobby. Ken was a real fan favourite who grew up in Forest Gate. I was at Wembley in 1965 to witness Ken, Bobby and the other lads lift the European Cup Winners Cup. My favourite football memory. Years later, I was delighted when Kenny Brown signed and now Luis has made it the third generation. Welcome Luis and good luck.

We’ve been focusing on mostly young signings lately. I suppose the older ones are more likely coming in once the Euros are done. Good reminder re the academy products’ demise in recent years after leaving the club. What a shame😔☹️

It's a shame considering how well the youth teams have been doing over the recent years, but the transition from academy to senior level football has been very questionable. So sad........

I don’t believe academy players should have ‘agents’ until they reach a certain age, there should be independent advisors, who with their family members present, give advice, but they are not allowed to make any money from that young player, they earn their money from a ‘pot’ paid into by the clubs, so there’s not the opportunity for an agent to profit from selfish advice. These advisors should be ex players, players with major league experience, someone who doesn’t need financial gain for passing on their recommendations.

All the Agents do is earn more money from transfers & not always the best advice given for the players. In most of what you covered I this video highlights that fact & Should have stayed at West Ham now we have a new Manager. Another good video Stelios... keep up the good work. 😊

So even if they become top players in a few seasons, that's no use to us unless they are willing to wait and develop.
Exactly that mate I get why fans want youth to get a chance but they have to be decent enough The two players who were in relegation sides last season are the closest we have had to academy players being successful in the premier league- Reece Burke for Luton and Josh Cullen for Burnley

I actually don’t think we should have sold Ekwah and only time will tell if Anang and Trott were mistakes to sell as well The players I mentioned are those who were offered new deals but they chose not to accept those new deals. It’s not about peddling a narrative that they may not be good enough. Evidence has shown that none of these players have become premier league players. The evidence shows that the likes of Perkins has ended up at Leyton etx It’s possible that some of these players may indeed become premier league players but as many fans have pointed out, not many have gone on to do that What is it we want at West Ham? Using academy players in the first team who are not going to improve our team? Or, getting players into the first team who will improve our first team?

This is the way modern football is managed in the PSR era. Bring in young players and move them on. It is the only way to survive.
