I hate thieving c**ts! Always a background worry about workshop/van security. Like you say if they really want to get in they will. I've tried to make my workshop as much of a pain in the arris if they do get in. Although some other comments have given me some ideas 💥💥😂. Will be interested to hear your experiences with the Renner paint as I've been looking at that recently 🤔👍🏻

      Thanks mate
Yes always in the background! Never let it stress you tho, they aren’t worth it!
I am doing some test panels over the next few weeks as well as the job I am fitting at the minute and then I think I will share my views but looking good

Yeah, always on our minds. Actually quite grateful I took the time to put in extra precautions. Feels good!

My first workshop I set up trip wires with blank cartridges that would fire if triggered. Caught me out all the time and my hearing suffered along with my heart so I stopped doing that🙄. Workshop I'm in now has 24hr security, cameras, guards etc but it all comes as a cost. That said it's worth it to me after having all my kit stolen by Pikeys when I was on a job in Kent. Most of my kit was my grand father's who was a chippy. Still makes me angry as fcuk just thinking about it. To steal a man's ability to earn a living and provide for his family is low as hell.

I can’t tell you what I have in place but it’s not too far off!
Yeah it’s sickening. I a van done once and site that I had left tools on. It was only then I realised that my power tools only have a monetary value. My hand tools which some were passed down like yours were the upsetting thing and impossible to claim for. I was till finding things that were missing for months!
On the odd occasion I go to a building site my hand tools are the one thing that never leave my sight!
I am not letting them get me down or angry tho! 💪🏻
