Old school Yugioh was fun because you played the long game. Things usually started off small, but escalated as you drew more and better cards. Then, towards the end of the match the stakes began to rise, until both sides were going all in. You never knew who would come out on top, until the last few life points were taken. It was a simple play mechanic that works even for kids. When i was a kid it was easy to play with anyone and there wasn’t that many cards so it was special
I love the line,"I couldn't sit and play old school for five hours" when modern turns can take so long, then the player can play more during the opponents turn too. That's wild lmao.
