Conquering the Pond - Rhino TS10 flex-wing Style!!

- It was amazing to watch the batwing hug the ground around the pond bank and levee. We test out the new TS10 flex wing mower from RhinoAg around the Illinois farm pond which hasn't been mowed since last year when we mowed it with the Ventrac tough cut and boom mowers. The TS10' flex wing goes places a larger mower cannot go. This mower is great for the hobby farmer or smaller homesteads!
Thanks to RhinoAg for the 10' flex-wing

Mowing is so satisfying and I appreciate the upload so much. Reminds me of my childhood. Your skills are also top notch … steady, safe and ask an elder for advice. Your dad is the best “could just get a train car” 😂
I realize it is quite off topic but does anyone know a good place to stream new series online ?
@Dalton Bruce I watch on FlixZone. Just search on google for it =)
One of those big days in any mans life. The day he gets his first Bat Wing Mower. It's life altering! :)
Men like your dad built our country. Enjoy those conversations, there are not many wise men like him left.
It's strange ..... I'm a few days off 69 ...... But I can still run rings around the kids in the nursing home. 😊
And the medical Staff sometimes as well ...... GRRRR! >8^(
God bless yall thats the life mowing in a/c watchin ya work
I enjoy seeing your family's beautiful farm land. Tractors are cool too !
These are just real good people. I grew up on a farm here in Ohio and have had the same values and hard work ethic planted inside me. There is no other way to get these experiences. Thank you to Tim and his family for sharing. We wish you all continued Blessings.
I have this weird thing where I love to watch brush hogging videos. But, it’s hard to find good ones so thanks for this👍👍
Jacob B I hear ya, I think it’s the before and after change.. neat to see it all cleaned up. I watch several brush hog videos too
Jacob B I know I find them satisfying
Always enjoy your visits to the family farm and seeing your Dad and the other family members. Thank you and Christy so much for taking the time to make these great videos. Keep up the great work and God Bless!!
Thanks for the kind words.
Good memories and words of wisdom from your dad!
Tim,
I am glad you are taking your time with this mower/tractor. Sometimes , I think you are trying too hard to go too fast working. Slow and steady wins the day!
It’s great seeing the farm and your dad. The next time you talk to him tell him and your mom I said hello. Love your videos.
Thanks Guy! We’ll let him know!
Me as well please Tim .... I'm a bit of a fan of him .... Being closer to him in age than you are .... ROFL!
I love a good bat wing! Between our 3 batwings, we cut 5,000 miles worth of county right of ways all year round. Without a batwing, we’d be in a world of hurt. We run all 20’ mowers, 6 days a week 12-14 hours a day!
Where do you work?
In the middle Georgia area!
I've seen several rotary mowing videos on your channel, It's great to see you so fresh and clean after this one. I know that you weren't fresh and clean after most of the previous mowing videos. A\C and a cab sure seem to be a blessing and a great tool for that type of work. Thanks for sharing your videos.
Exactly! Cab is great for mowing!
This is advertising, and good advertising for rhino mowers. Thank you Tim and your lovely wife. You have more info and footage in 1 video than another 'modern homesteader' in all his movies about his rhino stuff. At least you now know what this mower really can do!!!
Us to like watching you interacting with your dad sorry for your loss
Good memories. I'm glad we have these videos.
@@TractorTimewithTim Yes I’m glad you can keep videos of your dad I didn’t have that opportunity so it’s very touching seeing your Able off interact with him a lot lost mine when I was 10
so it was a great one too
I think this is the first video I have seen with the rhino ts10 thanks for showing us it in operation
I have 2 comments: 1.) I agree with some of the other commenters about watching the tilt of the tractor, I think you're braver than I am! 2.) I loved your Dad's comment about the rail car to move your equipment. Very funny!. Thanks for the videos!
Love to listen to your dad and his advice on your videos.
He still has ALL the clues considering his age! 😊
Tim, You did an excellent job with the Rhino. It was impressive seeing it flex as you mentioned. Looks like a great implement especially for not perfectly flat ground.
This is a badass set up
That ts10 is a heck of a piece of equipment.
nice mowing new trctor working good have a day
Good to see Dad again. Would love to sit and talk with him. Like the Rhino, been considering the 10ft for my farm.
10 foot bat wing mower thats what i need for mowing lawns
I’d go 15 ft
Looks like a awesome mower, leaves a good clean cut for what it was cutting, the lord sure is bmessing with yall equipment choices. Pray all is well and proud of you guys, keep carrying the faith
Man, you had me on edge of my seat while you were mowing the edge of that pond.
Old guy is just straight up! Well, if you get any closer, I don't want you gettin in the pond! LMFAOO! Classic!
Nice mower and video Tim. Like you said nice the way it flexes and follows the ground. Great to see your Dad, and family’s farm! That is awesome! Jdmich
Nice little mower Tim good to see your Dad getting around good still. I enjoy your family farm videos!
Compact and very flexible
Thanks Tim for the Buddy Seat Comment a couple weeks ago. We purchased a 5075e as well last month, and the first thing we did was widen the front and rear tires, and fill rears with ballast, makes everything more stable on slopes and doing loader work! Keep the 5075e videos coming!
That's really cool how that mower flexes . I'm way over do to have someone come out and mow are back field before it gets took over . It's amazing how fast stuff will grow up in just a few years.
Close to me?
@@TractorTimewithTim I'm in Sullivan County Indiana . 5 miles away from Indiana Illinois border .
That is a nice looking tractor and the Rhino bush hog looks great too and is cutting down that high grass like it was nothing. I have a 5' bush hog which is attached to my 790 tractor full time and I use my other implements with my 3032E tractor and both tractors have given me great service and still working fine. I use the bush hog for cutting the grass on areas which isn't sloped too far down hill to keep it from coming off the ground and the tractor from losing control of the cutter.
Good stuff!
CDL, time for a semi to haul all the toys Tim. Looks like a really nice mower and dose a nice job cutting.
Rhino builds a very nice unit!!..
I really like that cutter, and tractor.
Great to see the family!! Tell everybody that the other Tim with Tractors says Hi!!
Great video. Love to see the family farm. Thanks!
Good to see you again Old Fella ...... Looks like you're doing REALLLLLY well ....... 🙏👍👍😁🧡
Nice mower! Always fun to see your family 👍.
I love that you want to try it with Johnny 2! Looking forward to that video!
That batwing mower is no joke! Great video!
Carmine
I am still getting use to mine, I have it leveled to the tractor now had to get an adjustable wrench what would hit 2 1/8 for those rear adj on the outer two wheels. Its a weird feeling pulling it I will get use to it but you just feel like its going to hit everything and or blow up lol. Over all its a beast I mowed a 3 hour chunk today in 1 hour!! My only complaint with my 15ft Land Pride is the wings fold over 90 to give you clearance going down the road. So they might not just go down sitting still you need to be moving a bit.. Nice video
Nice video tim and kristie and a nice machine ,and your dad looks really good 👍👍
Looks like a great mower! I'd love to try it behind my tractor. Thanks for the video
Very quality construction keeping the noise down
God I love watching a batwing in action!
Nice Tractor and Realy Nice Mower Deck 😁
Good video Tim thanks
Nice family and farm, fun times mowing😀
Ive shredded with tractors on steep slopes where it feels like itll roll. Truly amazing how steep of an angle you can do. Just make sure the seat is bolted down! Bad expirence one time with that. Bolts vibrated out of the seat and noone knew!
Thanks for videos it inspired me to go get a John Deere so I went today and bought a 3025 tlb John Deere thanks for all videos
Congratulations!
Great vid as usual Tim.
Can not wait to see the video of the 2038r handle that cutter I know mine is a beast of a tractor like always great video
It's taken a lot of hard work and effort on your part but you guys have come along ways from your beginnings with Johnnie and your Autoshelter Instant Garage to where you are now. I like seeing all the new additions to your arsenal and what they can accomplish. Congrats on all your success now and in the future. Looking forward to part 2 .
Thanks for the kind words.
I’m glad you like it!
@@TractorTimewithTim On another note I've been sitting around today trying to shake a cold so I checked your RUclips channel for any videos I may have missed or to rewatch some favorites and decided to add up the total views on all your videos from this one to the first one of Katriels piano solo ( 10 years ago ) and I came up with a total of 26,571,650 views . Wow !!!!! Congrats to you guys. P.S. between all the coughing and sneezing I may be off a few. HaHa .
RUclips says 32,200,000 at this point
The RhinoAg Batwing works great...
But I agree with Christy when she calls it “The Hugger”👍
Hey Tim haven't been around for a while nice to see a video again. Hope you are all doing well. Sally.
Hey Dave! Hope all is well. Have been missing your comments. Welcome back!
Dang..Im Inpresed..Tht 10Ft Batwing Mower Is Doing A Real Good Job Looks Like To Me!!
Tim, you ought to do a video on your Dad’s camp buggy he rides around in. That thing looks cool!
Love all your videos but especially when Johnny 5 is the star !!
Tim one caution with having a wheel in the water. It could dilute the grease in that bearing. Be sure to keep a watch in that.
I’ve always been a fan of Bush Hog brand rotary cutters but this Rhino cutter is one I’d buy!
Someone who works for the New York State thruway must be a ttwt fan cause before these videos they mowed with flail mowers since these videos I see rhino batwing mowers behind Johnny 5s mowing the grass
WooHoo!
Hey Tim, just a friendly word of caution on those 5 series, I have a 5055e with power reverser, and on the left side under the clutch pedal, there are about 4 valves and solenoids protected by 1 really cheap cover. When a stick about the size of your thumb hit it, it knocked the wire connector off the clutch enable valve, and didn't hurt the valve, but just broke the plastic around the connector, well you can't replace just the connector part. The new valve is $400!!!!! A little further back, I knocked the connector off the indicator for the MWFD on a WEED, I didn't even bother pricing that!!! LOL As soon as I recover from my surgery, my first project is to fabricate a real shield for that whole area, just like I did for the grill after a small stick went through the grapple bucket I made and poked into the stock grille and almost into the cooler in front of the radiator!!!
Yep I want to see that mower behind Johnny 2 also!
great addition to ur fleet, now u can ride in comfort while knocking the brush down. take it out to that horse farm and try it out there.:-)
You're a brave guy Mr. Tim I'd be worried the bank given way . But nice video and nice equipment
You find some great toys
Love my 15 foot woods batwing too.
I used to run a 20 ft woods bat wing several years ago. Well built bush hog.
Awesome mower and pond!!nice video!
Love the videos Tim
Love the farm videos
I love this channel I have been watching since 50 subscribers
Thanks!!
Hello, Tim I just started watching in the last couple weeks your videos are Great I own a KUBOTA but like all your videos you won me over with the comparison videos your not bias at all cool. I bought my machine used and off of a individual. And if it would have been green or red I probably would still have bought it. I bought mine on price size and condition. Ok main reason for commenting was when I’m done brush hogging I use a cordless leaf blower works great to clean of all the clippings. I’m from PA take care I’m not a huge computer guy this will come under my wife’s name but I’m Chad I’ll probably comment from time to time. You and your wife make a great team. Ok take care also I’m now a subscriber!
Welcome Chad! Leaf blowers are useful for many things in our line of work!!
Nice batwing mower! Works well with Johnny 5!
That 10ft is probably really happy with that 5075 spinning it. Looks like y'all speced the single SCV option? Be interesting to see if that 2038 can run it say mowing the front part of the yard. Great vid.
Watching from the beautiful prairie of SD
Great video
If you have individual hydraulic controls you can raise the wings with mower running it makes it nice when mowing up to a post or tree along pond edge
Nice mower Tim! It's nice because it can flex! Too bad you could now get a giant tkv20! Good video Tim and Christy!
Looks like fun
We have a 15' batwing mower. They are tough & cut through some thick stuff. Just be careful & make sure those wings don't drop too much. The wings will drop low enough on ours to get the pto shafts for the wings to get into the hinge points.
Hey Gary. I’ll be getting back to you soon. Sorry for the delay.
@@TractorTimewithTim It's ok. No worries.
Tim I think you need to get a flail mower, hydraulic powered for Casey. You could reach out on the banks and mow very nicely, even do tree trimming with it.
Looking forward to seeing this mower on the smaller 3 series tractor
Shoot, give your dad the reigns! He has experience and he's brave. Lol...
He is slowing down. He knows what to do and how to do it, but forcing his body to do it is not easy for him anymore.
His mind is OK ..... But our drawbacks are located BELOW the neck .... :'(
wow this rhino mower is a perfect match for the 5E, love the video!:)
Great video!
I bet Johnny 2 would have no problem with mowing on flat ground, but be careful on hills and slopes. That mower weighs as much as Johnny 2!
Agreed I would limit Johnny 2 to pasture clearing , ps the batwing is not for leaving the front lawn to grow a bit for quicker cutting it just won’t give the same look as the Finnish mower units
I brush hog for a living smaller vacant lots and rural land or horse property 20 acres is the biggest I’ve done,. Usually half acre and up . Out here in Southern California if it rains the weeds grow like crazy . This year we had record rain this winter I’ve done some weeds up to 12-15 feet tall it’s like mowing in a jungle so crazy but fun . Wish I had I cab it but would limit me on small lots or backyards etc .Out here it’s mandatory to mow and disc or you will get fined by the county or city , it’s all an effort ro prevent brush fires and keep the Neighborhoods clean . The worst is when your mowing along and ya hit cinder block ,trash, debris or any kinda of wire is the worst , Especially when the knight before ya sharpened your blades and in the first 100 feet boom ! I ave a 6 foot brush hog and a 2013 JD 3320 Tractor . On those steep banks ya could back down them with your 3 point in float and get them closer to the water or a any steep slope . Love that bat wing mower I’d love to use it on big jobs thanks for the video keep up he good work TTWT! 👍👌
EZPZ, Ryan on How Farms Work YT channel got a Rhino Batwing mower to demo. They use it behind their JD 7600. I forget how wide of a swath it cuts. He shows it no mercy cutting saplings and heavy brush.
We’ve met Ryan.
@@TractorTimewithTim Travis is a great bloke .... I prefer him to Ryan ..... But that's me ... :)
This is almost like Bob Ross video good but with mowing grass lol xD Love it!! Keep up the good work!!
Hi Tim, do you ever offset your drawbar, left or right?
I find it handy to get the mower closer to the water whilst keeping the tractor out of harms way 👍🤠
The only problem with Johnny Two would be stopping weight. Those things tend to push smaller tractors around. In fact I have heard lots of stories of bush hogs ( I use that generic like "skill saw") pushing tractors off cliffs and into creeks.
Bravo! Glad to see Johnny 5 getting a little real farm tractor work done ! Do any of your dads friends have a round baler you can hook Johnny 5 to for a video? ( I would love to get a 5E , my 4440 needs a little brother, but I need to actually make some money on the farm first )
Tim Chrissy I want to let you guys know on June 16 which happens to be Father’s Day my 85-year-old wonderful father died from gallbladder cancer I’m telling you this term because I hope you’ll truly feel blessed and enjoy your dad is a Gem of a father of mine was the most wonderful human being I’ve ever known he’s with the Lord now so we know he’s safe he’s probably having the time of his life praise the Lord Jesus for that so what I’m telling you please love and genuinely appreciate your dad if there’s one thing I learned is to not take anything for granite
Thanks for the comment, Brad. Sorry to hear about your dad, but also happy to know he was a believer.
Thank you Tim I appreciate it please put my family in your prayers tell your whole family if you would please I would appreciate it
Must be one strong bank on the side of that pond, as based on that bat wing not being that much wider than the rear of that tractor and how far over the edge of the bank you were able to get, I’m more than surprised the tractor didn’t end up in the drink. I use a 15’ Land Pride batwing and a Kubota M5-111. I’m assuming, like mine, your rear remotes have float and not just self canceling detent to allow the bat wings to flex like that - mine flex as well, but have to put into float
I said to myself, about a breath before your father. You need a couple train cars. I was thinking how awesome this setup would’ve been in the old neighborhood.
Good video. It would be great to see if 2038R can power that batwing mower!
Absolutely looks like you are mowing in Iowa!!!
Hi Tim I am glad you don't have to cut by hand with a weeds eater that will take you a couple weeks
Tim I believe the pto power on the 2038r is 30.4 hp so I don't think it would run that mower and Tim your nephew Randal was adding extra ballast in the buddy seat
