Toodles,
Dave Moss I thought the same thing reading your comment.
I think the reason it was so shocking was because it was caught on film but yeah, many people in films (including animals) have been deceased in the process of countless films.
Twilight Zone was completely different because Landis knew he was putting Morrow and the two kids in danger but thought his artistic integrity mattered more than their lives...he bribed the parents of the children to ignore the safety inspectors because they would have immediately put a stop to it
He still needs to go to prison for twilight zone. Read the book “atrocious conduct”.
Yep. He’s a sleaz for sure.
Don't have to read the book. He was charged, tried, and acquitted along with four others. Case closed, Columbo
Read Special Effects. It was an unforeseeable accident.
1983 called and wants it's outrage back. Move along snowflake
@@chiefscheider So was OJ Simpson. Look, the more money you have the better lawyers you get the hire and courts don’t always get it right. Should Landis have gone to jail? Did he cause the deaths of those 3 people by not providing a safe working environment? I’d say yes. The kids should not have been there.
I agree with John: A movie is better on the big screen.
This is one of the best KPCS - Definitely up there alongside the epic Peter Weller episode! :)
But good god, as seriously verbose as Landis can often (wonderfully) be , there are soo many places in this episode where Pollack *really* needs to stop talking!
John Landis has become my new Hollywood Hero !!
ew your hero is a criminal walking free ew ew ew
@@areyounotentertained4133 Doesn't even matter to me. Mike gets a pass.
@@areyounotentertained4133 he’s wasn’t found guilty you fucking inbreed therefore not a criminal, you should be witch hunting the guys who are really responsible like the guys who didn’t inform him of all the hazards before the set or the other detectors, now go cry some more little guy.
@@an0970 now say that again without crying
Yeahhhhhhhh but like dem kids tho
the best kpcs of all?
I'd add Dana Carvey and Ed O'Neill but yes, this is definitely top 5
Younger Sherman brother turned 17 in June 1945. Could not have been in service.
They lied about age to get in the army then
What wouldn't I do to interview John Landis.
I WISH he directed films again
Please book Lou Ferragamo!
Pollak - lose the cheesy little hat. It looks stupid.
‘Eddie Murphy was a dream to work with on Trading Places......8 years later on Coming To America, he was a miserable son of a bitch’ 😂😂😂
@rickyjohnson8904 well, at least Eddie doesn't murder children.
You'll need your almanac.
He has a nervous laugh.
Due to years of guilt on his shoulders.
@Joe D My guilt doesn't involve the death of a man and two children.
@Joe D I never said it was.
fucking brilliant.
John Shepherd USA Actor
Do all hollywood types take a class on complimenting others in hollywood? No matter what they think. Everyone is the greatest in the world. Well not Landis though, he is more candid than most
He killed vic morrow. And two Vietnamese kids. All because of his greed negligence and stupidity. Accident. My ass. That was a gross travesty
it was an accident. get over yourself
in the 1928 film noah's ark, director michael curtiz flooded the set, killing 3 extras and crippling another......so some hypocrites might not want to watch his other film casablanca
