I love this channel ~ been watching since you started, as I started my own 'Paradise Take 2' around the same time (Take 1 disappeared in the bushfire season in 2019 - guess what survived? A wee Pecan, Pineapples and three Panama Berries!) :) I'll be building something similar to this during the next few weeks - 4 of them - they will be small gauge chook wire around the bottom - to keep the wobblies from munching on my fruit trees and the red bellies from being an issue and I'll be putting the bird safe netting over the top. that way my bees can still enjoy the beautiful flowers and hopefully not much else will get in. I might do a few poly tunnels too, now that I've seen how easy it is. It rains a LOT here through the warm months, and it will be nice to be able to tend to my veges without getting soaked! The cross wires are something I hadn't thought of, and an excellent idea!
You a legend for putting this up. I'm planning to build a polytunnel type thingy in my yard, for my kid's bike and some tools in. Basically a discount value shed lol. It is a concrete yard so I cant put poles in the ground, but this video has given me some ideas. I'm thinking bamboo frame and a tarp.
Ive just decided that I'm gonna, build one of these in front of my garage doors. I can then work on my old car in dry and the daylight. I am also going build another in my garden, I recently found your channel and have been totally inspired by it, I have already planted loads of stuff. Many thanks David in the UK.
That's a great idea David mate! I have four or five of them all over the place for different things. Great spot to work on your car. Just gotta make enough room to get around it
You have a mew subscriber. Im gathering items to build my green house. I like ur movie trailer, I’m watching it tonight. Right now I need to go water garden.
Hey Weedy, Lois from the Sunshine Coast ranges here. Love this simple build. My partner and I have so many visions but are particularly slow at executing them because we want to 'do it right' and build something quality that will last. But this means we are getting alot less done, as we don't know exactly how we want to develop our land. Can't waste money putting in foundations for a shed if maybe in 3 years that's where we want to chicken coop! I like the idea of making simple structures that can be shifted, flowing more with the evolving nature of life on the land
Good on ya Weedy, we have watched all your videos and continue to watch them over again. Love your calm delivery and the artistic touch you seem to naturally add to everything you do, love it.
I love the simplicity of this design. I've recently finished a greenhouse using 2" poly pipe for the arches. It's 6m x 4m, so a bit bigger. But I tend to over engineer things and procrastinate, so it certainly wasn't built in a day. Mine is built on a bit of a slope with a swale dam at the top (more to divert excess water than to trap limited water). That seeps under two raised hugelculture beds inside. If I end up making some smaller poly tunnels, I might do something like this.
So much LOVE to you and your beautiful garden. I also created a permaculture garden here in Germany and I love mother earth for the connection she brings. There is always a plant calling for more love and care. There is always JOY and potential and opportunities to love more 🥰
Such a positive vibe! You and your channel are so approachable (yet in-depth at times), funny, and wholesome. The footage, editing, and narration are top notch.
This is a good simple 'build' that's not so TALL that he can't reach the Top without a ladder or stand fully 'ERECT' inside of it. The 'materials' used though would have to be ADAPTED to your individual environments and needs, I believe. And you probably DON'T want to plant anything inside that requires 'pollination'. Also, I remember seeing a video that argued against the use of the materials affixed to his frame because they will soon require 'replacement' but we have to use what we have access to... just understand that some materials won't last for too many years. Good video.
Thank you, love your brilliant work. In western nsw and need a solid top with shadecloth to keep the geoengineering chemtrails and hot sun off our vegetables.
Oh I love it!!! You know, I've already built similar, using 6 tall star pickets, connected and criss-crossed sides back and top using 'parramatta nylon rope, and covered it all with rolls of flyscreen sewn together with fishing line... the rain can get in... it's a veggie garden... Lately, I have been collecting stuff that I need, polypipe, metal rods etc, to make similar to Your vid... then I see Your video.... it's awesome... Had been eyeing off the corrugated sheets at the hardware store, fairly inexpensive... So soon I will proceed with Your guidance, after, I have set up my lattice walls and pond setting... ThankYou so much for sharing Your knowledge and delightful vids, such a pleasure to watch... Had just finished watching Your 'how to make bacteria for the garden, have all the ingredients, including three large brewers bottles... so will definitly have a go at that!!! Soil being so important... Best Wishes to You and Yours...
Great poly tunnel - now I understand how to make one! Am also going to use the diagonal wires idea to brace the small insect mesh hoop houses over my raised beds :D
Love it! The Georgia Sun makes the Clear plastic so brittle in a couple of years time. So , i switched to clear reinforced clear tarps. They still disintegrate but are cheaper to replace.
Excellent video. I visited the my local recycling store at the dump/tip today and got a half roll of poly pipe for $15 to make hoop houses over my raised garden beds ready for spring. Also a beautiful basket for garden harvest $3 I just love being able to repurpose other peoples donated goods. Being on the Darling Downs Qld I think spring has already arrived. The next couple of days going to start seeds of all different varieties. Happy gardening for our spring and summer season.

As always David, your timing is PERRRFECT. This is on my list for Spring projects. Thanks for making this an easy achievable and affordable tunnel. cheers !👍💕🇦🇺
Good morning Weedy! It's raining here! Much needed and gives me a day off. I think I will do this. Been wanting something like this! Thank you Wendy. Have a wonderful day.
David thank you so much for this video. I was one of those who asked way back, lol! I just finished my new chicken coop - based on yours and my girls love it! I can share some of the photos on patreon to you and Mrs Weedy. Thank you for being such an inspiration! 🥰
Hey Mr Weedy, brilliant video mate. Have been following your channel for a while now. Love the work man, helps to feed my brain 🧠 too get new inspirations for my little patch. Cheers
Nicely done! The insect netting saved my tomato crop this year. I highly recommend using it. We used "hair clips" (the squeezable kind) to attach netting to our frames. We had used zip ties in the past but they were such a pain to take off at the end of the season.
Your content camera work and just the things you cover have been very inspirational and also you are just a easy man to watch do your thing p-pancakes are still my fav, but my wife wants one of these I will most likely be watching your vids a thousand times over lol...
Wow, that was an awesome build. I've been watching videos of greenhouse design and building and uggg. Your building was totally doable for couple of ol gals. Thank you for helping make it so much clearer. ❤
Oh man the Didgeridoo sounds amazing :) What a spacious Greenhouse, and a very simple list of things to get and do. Might scale this down a little, just have a small "Koloni" have, here in Aalborg :)
