  • In this video, I demonstrate how I make the plant food, or free organic home made fertiliser which I use on my garden here up on the hill.
It´s not about surviving...It´s about THRIVING.
This video is about HOME MADE FERTILISER, and I´ll show you how I make mine, and talk about why it is another important aspect of my veggie garden.
There are a few things I didn´t cover in this video about soil bacteria, so it´s important to watch the two videos below to learn more about soil bacteria.

Hello friends. NOTE! It is important that you strain the organic matter from this brew after it has been sitting for a couple of monts. You need to make sure no flies or maggots or any other type of animal get into your brew. That will be the start of the end. After you have strained the organic matter from the liquid, it is important to keep it dark and cool. Best to use it straight away and within the next moon or so. The longer you let it sit, the more acidic it can potentially become if it’s too hot. As time goes by, it gets to a point that it is potentially HARMFUL! It can turn rotten. It can turn acidic. It can turn alchohol. All of which are unbenificial! Best to save a glass bottle of the strained seven day old brew and put it in the fridge as your mother brew, and use the rest once or twice a month during the following months. Updated version video nr 6. Please watch. 😊

Finally got my soil bacteria brew done and done right....I think. It almost smells like a microbrew beer so I know it's fermenting. Lmao. I've already seen a difference in my compost. Within a few days of adding the brew, the compost is smelling like a forest floor after it rains.....which blows my mind because I'm in southern Arizona. I can't thank you enough for all the knowledge you pass on as well as inspiration. Not only are your tips helpful but watching your videos renewed my passion for growing. In the next week or two my fiance and I will be building a greenhouse out of cattle panels and then the real fun begins.....gonna start trying to grow things that have no business growing in the desert. They are not the simple and easy magic pill that everyone wants to find but instead do involve some reasonable knowledge and guidance (thanks for so generously offering), and some reasonable work to put into practice. These are the kind of works that bring balance to gardens and gardeners. Thanks again. Maine, USA.

P.s. I know it's selfish, BUT hope travel ban stops you going back to your day job anytime soon
Maybe I'd seen your footage previously on tv, but love seeing your unique skill set doing this stuff at home and your voice overs are almost Sir Dave lvl 😉

You're creating something very special here on this channel David - thank you. I love the small details in the editing that you add as well as the effort in collecting footage of bacteria. On top of all this not only a beautiful message, engagingly conveyed but these videos also have real substantive information. You're doing an excellent job, thanks for sharing your talents.
