I am so glad I watched this game and how it ended up. Thanks for casting it. This was probably the best Brood War cast I've ever seen, this one and the other one with the Dark Archon play have been my favorite. Nice mix of units--definitely an oddball combination of units but it all worked out. Thanks for casting every day.

Epic game. That egg block on 32:47 actually saved the Zerg base longer than it should've; the south was actually failing more than the north attack. Dark Archon 35:04 became clutch preventing the Zerg attack on the reavers. One of the most exiting games from both players. GG

The amount of storms that Shuttle skillfully placed won him the game. The reavers & archons just smashed through all the terribly bruised up hydras & lurkers. & that maelstrom/storm combo on the guardians was beautiful 👏.
This is how a Protoss takes care of a Zerg who spams hydra/lurker/ling with dark swarm.
I do have a lot of fun listening to your casting, even tho you dont know that much about the game you make every single little detail so funny. Thanks for doing this and keeping the game alive :-)

Kinda surprised that the Zerg player didn't recognize by midgame that his opponent had an Archon+Dragoon composition and that the best counter to that is massed Hydralisks. You'd have to watch out a bit for storms (but Hydras are actually kinda fast moving units so they can avoid ~half+ of the damage if you're responsive in moving out of the Psi storms). You could also use queens as zerg to counter high templars with Spawn Broodling.

Duran manipulated and SHOCKED EVERYONE, lol. He is indeed, BOSS. But there is ONE apparently even Duran bows down to and serves! GREAT series, one indeed, for the ages and universe! OURS!

the conspiracy theorists out there probably took a message when Zeratul FOUND Duran still alive and completely corrupt and pretty much seemingly omnipotent AND menacing, taunting, from a deep voice from SOMEWHERE, not necessarily that radio signal. Duran was watching ALL of them from a far greater PLACE, hahaha, heights. That secret level was just EPIC. Made the whole rest of the series, set the suspense. GREAT choice to put in Brood War, we ALL were fascinated by Samir Duran, lol. Or.....WHOEVER this....this.....self-declared god is!

Lt. Duran, or WHICHEVER race he is representing today, was epic. GODLY. Would have made a great Terran revolutionary, too. Mengsk should have LOVED him, lol, had it been a different cause or similar even, surprised if Mengsk somewhere in the storyline of the series did not ask Duran to JOIN him, lol. Would not have been surprising at all, again, had the story line been different, but maybe at one point he did! Before Duran revealed himself, FULLY. And he was infested, too, unless he fooled Kerrigan TOO, and I believe he DID.
First time I see a scout and a dark archon using maelstrom in a pro game, second time I see guardians used.

When you don't see anything that could have killed the observer, it was a scourge hit.
In return, you could explain to me what makes the available zerg supply increase by 1 twice from 6:53 to 7:04 (35 - 36 - 37).

Wow, what a comeback. Awesome storms, but they do kill some protos units as well (I think that's why shuttle lost more units than were killed by savior).

So is there a broodwar ladder or online beginner games like Starcraft II? I bought Starcraft II and have started to learn but I’d be much happier playing my old man game if there was still online one on one games. It would be better for my morale in between getting destroyed on LOTV lol
There's a StarCraft Remastered ladder but it's pretty brutal, even for new players. Maybe worth a shot.

The Defiler that died to DA is not because of the Maelstrom but its Feedback ability. Feedback reduces a unit's energy to 0 and deals the same amount of damage regardless of armor.
I saw a DArchon so I had to click. Praying for some hot maelstrom action.
After your comment about sunken stabbing DTs I am starting to wonder about DT underwear fashion. Do the protons have fashion designers?
Savior should use the Zerg's mobility instead of challenging the main Protoss army out on the battlefield as much. It's hard to brute force a complete Protoss army with Reavers, High templars and Archons. It's better to do zergling drops in Shuttle's bases and force the Protoss to move his army. I'm not an expert in any way but it seems many Zerg players do that mistake against Protoss.
Now we just have to get disruption web into the meta

I think toss needs to use reavers and corsairs more heavily. There is no static defence that could work vs 6-8 reavers drop

Nothing excites me more than dark archons stealing drones/scvs in broodwar, but unfortunately it's not practical
Ery practical against terran if you can combine siege tanks with recall + arbiter cloak to flank/support from cover and even the playing field...all you need is enough supply for 6-8 tanks and let the probes do the collecting

Dear Falcon Paladin,
I'd like to start by saying I'm very grateful that you bring us loads of awesome Brood War Remastered games. Really, I can confidently speak for all of us viewers that your effort is much appreciated. That said, I'd like to offer some constructive criticism so that our own viewing experience may be enhanced!
1. Please pay more attention to the minimap. You often miss important exchanges because you are busy looking at unit kills and upgrades.
2. We don't care how many kills a given unit has. That said, knowing the upgrade status is good, but only right before a battle to predict an outcome or immediately after one to explain an outcome. Use a lul between battles to check those things.
3. You are incredibly biased in favor of Protoss. I think that most would agree that though you don't blatantly favour any one race or player, your excitement when protoss players do well, and your dissapoointment when they do poorly is all too obvious. If you truely and honestly want to become a professional narrator/commentator, you have to curb your bias. Learn to love all three races.
4. In order to learn and love all three races, you must complete all six campaigns from SC and BW. That way you won't say things like "Blinding Cloud" or "Medevac" which do not exist in BW.
5. Do hotkeys work when you are viewing a replay? They do for me.... use more double click, ctrl+click, ctrl+shift+click!
6. Stick to comments about the game, gamers or SC/BW universe
Keep up the great work, and take heed. My tips will make you a better caster.

I have played the SC and BW campaigns multiple times over. Me mixing up names has nothing to do with not knowing their real names. :)
What does CTRL-SHIFT-CLICK do in a replay?
@@FalconPaladin So CTRL+Click selects a dozen of a particular unit type, and SHIFT+Click selects units individually of any type.
CTRL+SHIFT+Click allows you to select, say, 5 hydras and seven lings by CTRL+Click hydras then CTRL+SHIFT+Click lings.
If you have overlapping units that makes dragging to select not ideal, use the hotkeys!
