- Rambles with Robin and Ruby: Keno City - An Historic Town
With A Heart of Silver, Yukon, Canada.
Episode 19E41, July 2, 2019
Robin is a 2015 T@B travel trailer. Ruby is a 2019 Subaru Outback.
In this episode of Rambles with Robin and Ruby, season 2019, episode #41, I share some images of the town of Keno City, Yukon, Canada. There are no video segments, per say, in this episode. Rather, I use photographs to highlight some aspects of the historic mining history sites in the local alpine and the townsite, including the old Keno Hotel, which sadly burned down on December 11, 2020. My intent is to share with you a flavour of the eclectic town of Keno City. Some photos were composed back in 2007 and 2008, when we first visited Keno City, but most photos were composed in the summer of 2019.
Keno City is an interesting place to visit - great people, wonderful alpine hiking, amazing alpine wildflowers, butterflies and animals, and a long prospecting and silver mining history.
Enjoy the tour.

Yay! And you got to meet Mike Mancini at the snack shop! What a guy!
One of those people who works hard, enjoys life, has a cool cafe, and makes excellent pizza!
Thanks I loved it!
Glad you liked it!
Mining history of course!
You are correct. Much of Canada (and other nations) was indeed opened by natural resource industries and related road or rail infrastructure.
Great Video! FYI, Frozen Fred is AKA “Permafrost Pete” 😎
Thanks for the info! And thank you for the value add.
