    I don't mind him being a house husband, no different than a stay at home wife, I do mind his treatment of his step daughters! I mind the fact that both he and his wife use guilt to dismiss the girls feelings, such as favoring his blood children yet at the same time expecting the right to discipline the two elders who help out the most yet does nothing to his own bio kids when misbehaving!

    Actually while I understand where Crystal is coming from, I also understand how Mr Lim would prioritize his work. When it comes to work, sometimes, there truly is little to no choice. Especially overseas. I gather she would feel differently if there was not enough money and the family has to live on a very tight budget.

At the end of the day, be blessed to have a father who actually cares for you in whatever way. People are worse off. Families are broken and children are without a proper support system.

      @kennethmajorSG 5 лет назад +13

      Yeah if you work hard in Singapore, you can get very far as long as you stick to your principles and beliefs. Stay firm in your mindset and don't give up, always set for higher expectations. I always hear people complaining about being poor yet they don't do anything to change their life which triggers me as they think they are always entitled because they come from a lower SES , I wasn't raised from a well-to-do family and my dad didn't had any income for 2 years when I was young, we were literally getting by day-to-day and our expense were very low surviving on instant noodles sometimes. My mom also used to contemplate very long before buying me a $1 goodie bag but now we came from a background of HDB household to a condo and then landed property.
      Most importantly, I've always felt my parents' love even when we were poor and that made me very contented because they spent a lot of time with me and built bond. Although we progressed to a better household, sometimes wealth doesn't necessarily bring about happiness. I'm 19 now and I felt much happier when I was that young, carefree boy doing the simple things but what I'm saying is, you can do whatever you want to do in life as long as you listen to yourself and not judge circumstances on what you may have now as it can change ! :)

  • @D-me-dream-smp
    @D-me-dream-smp 3 года назад +4

    Sorry I think it is selfish to have a lot of kids if you do not have the resources (financial and time) or are not willing to commit to taking responsibility for caring for them. While it is reasonable for children to contribute to the household it is unfair to over burden the older children with the responsibility of caring for their younger siblings. The children didn’t have a choice in the matter and this is the only time they have to have freedom from adult responsibilities. You can see how anxious and stressed all the older kids are already when they should be allowed to enjoy some carefree time. These fathers wanted big families but aren’t taking responsibility for their day to day care, supporting their wives or considering what their children truly need. Honestly these fathers don’t seem very sensible or realistic when it comes to practical matters. They are very poor at communicating and working as a team with their wives. When you have children it is your responsibility to do whatever it takes to provide them with what they need.

    It seems to me that the wife is putting money and her comfort ahead of her husband being able to be home more to be present in his children’s lives money isn’t everything

    With or without children, a man still likes to work full-time on career. 💰 💰 💰 fulfilling his financial ambitions.
    So its more fulfilling if he can provide for his children instead of his dogs 🐶
    I don't like fathers who spend too much time on his children.
    Fathers just like to rule over the wife and kids.
    Its better a man just work to give his wife and kids financial freedom
