Les Claypool's Flying Frog Brigade "Buzzards of Green Hill" - Bohemia Afterdark

- After the announcement of Primus' hiatus, Claypool formed Les Claypool's Fearless Flying Frog Brigade, an experimental ensemble in the vein of The Mothers of Invention. The band debuted at the New Orleans Jazz Festival and played a number of other festivals including moe.down. When Primus officially disbanded it allowed him to return to his musical roots, playing songs by bands like Pink Floyd, King Crimson, and the Beatles. Claypool has called the Frog Brigade his "mid-life crisis band." In addition to two live albums (one being an exact cover of Pink Floyd's Animals), the Frog Brigade has released one studio album, 2002's Purple Onion.

How the heck can a person not like this music? It's amazing, even to us non-stoners!
❤
I live near Les. Driven past Greenhill Rd. Had lunch at D's Diner (it really exists) and have gone to Codding Town since I was a wee little head banger
. Isn't that just terrific? Weeee Hawww.
Primus is my favorite band of all time. But I swear, the older Les gets, the greater his bass playing, creativity, and just plain badassery gets.
When a prog rock band does country lyrics better than most country bands.
Wurm all*
Straight facts.
this album is so underrated
Claypool is certainly one-of-a-kind! I adore him!
Sonoma County FTW!
There's a short documentary on one of Claypool's DVDs where they show the recording process for this song. It's worth checking out just for the banter between Les and the slide guitarist.
les is way at the top of all Bass
Gods.. and godesses.
Les has tripped more balls than anybody I've ever seen.
probably the most catchy chorus Les wrote .....
Its obvious "bastard" is Claypool's favorite swear word
This is just THE single best song I've ever heard. Can't stop tapping my foot to the ground :D
This is such a badass song.
Love this song! ...I like the Bob Dylan reference!!!
This man performed the music for Trigun, Southpark, and so much more!
"Little Fuzzy Wuzzy was a fuzzy little bear, Little Fuzzy Wuzzy didn't have no hair, Little Fuzzy Wuzzy wasn't fuzzy was he?" Lmao!
Les - you are the greatest - yeah!
Playing this on my bass with my bootsy collins wah/fuzz pedal is probably one of the most enjoyable ways to pass time...
This goes surprisingly well with the intro cutscene in Fallout NV
Best bassline ever.
Such a good tune and song
With that derby and the mask with the big nose he looks like Alex from Clockwork Orange!
that bassline is fucking awesome, the lyrics too
Don't drink and drive, you might spill your beer.
Lovin how the video was done like subterranean homesick blues 😅❤
When Funkadelic meets The Residents ! 🤩
Which came first? The concept of God, or Les Claypool? Some mysterys still remain unsolved...
FREAKIN AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh, I love it all!
that's stony point road! awesome!
1:33 BASS DRAGON!!!!!! AHHHHH
Primus and Budgie the two most unique bands I know 🤘one from US other from UK
That bass lick with the saxaphone... so fucking infectious.
Makes me happy knowing that a demi-god of bass and funky music can hold a strong anti-drug/anti-drunk driving ideology. Claypool-2, stoners-0
Shouldn't that be alcoholics - 0?
Nothing wrong with a little pot
you know les smokes up, right?
that’s what DMV’s about
thanks for the Dylan tribute Les! good vid
FANTASTIC!!
i luv the fkn baseline.. base god claypool
Legendary
this makes so much more sense when im blazed :D!
Wow!
Amazing!
My dad TOO!!!
Somehow reminds me of Captain Beefheart... great stuff!
Burke Shelley (1969 same year as Led Zep)
Damn Lester is a cutey.
OMG i luv them so much the best band in th world
OG claypool fans where you @ 👀
So ridiculous and insane. This is insanity and creativity at it's best.
I LOVE THIS SONG!!!!! let me tell you way I can't realy prove it But I was once told my forfather owned the land where the courthouse stands now. they traded if for less taxed land not far away !!!!!

D's Diner is my all time favorite restaurant advertisement. But do you know they still make Les pay like eraone else. And get this, Les is more than happy to pay not just for his sweet potato fries but for everyone in da building dat day. Les Claypool bought my friends and I our first plate of food at the now famous D's Diner. Les Claypool you truly are legendary and because of you I am now ready to show the world what an impact a whole lot of Les had on the twisted Mind Of MiNuS. If you know Les personaly, can you please let him know that I am here and I got something to say with my voices and my bass. You guyz have no idea....but quite truthfully It's time to give you guys the opportunity to experience the where I am and wutz I got to offer the world. I'm No Les but Ima solid MiNuS 🥀🐸🍄™️
Get me on the stage with the Delirium. I'm ready to March Cap'n Claypool. I feel very much bout thumping and a plucking dat bass like how I imagine Les Claypool feels bout plucking and thumping his vast collection of just the best bass guitars. Subscribe to the "Mind of MiNuS"🥀🐸🍄 again that's 1-800-Mind of MiNuS bish but don't write bish in URL. You got it guyz? You know who you are and you know that I know that you know who you are👀I'm just a guy trying to have a quick smoke wit da fellas and maybe a bit of 🍄😱😅😂🤣🙃. Let's have have ourselves a Jam Les. Make sure you bring Lil Sean wit ya. Claypool Lennon Delirium datz my jam bish!
Very cool
bad bad man..........he the man...........
I can just picture "The Cube" dancing to this song.
Love!
una scarica d' adrenalina incredibile.les ti prego campa 100 anni che io ti seguo fino alla fine anche se suoni la tarantella
gotta love that bari sax
Very cool!
It makes sense for this to be Claypool's mid-life crisis pan because the Flying Frog Brigade released a cover of Animals, and men with mid life crises (as well as anyone with good taste in music) obsess over Pink Floyd and other classic rock bands
cool!
This fellow has a multi dimensional speedy mind
Syd Barrett watches from above 🤘🤘🙏
It's an auto-wah style effect. The actual effects pedal is most likely Claypool's "Kork Toneworks AX3000B multi-effects unit".
The whole card thing reminds me of the video for subterranean homesick blues
The Actual reason why primus was so great is becuase they didn't give a shit. They just did what ever they pleased. Primus was and still is really goofy!
Now Claypool expresses himself and does what he wants too.
Respect The Frog Brigade.
@Crusifizerr hes using an envelope filter, similar to auto wah but it also creates that liquidy sound frequently used on his solo work, especially his two newest albums.
Awesome
Mr. BassMan!!!!
cool
grandeee coronel
LONG LIVE LES CLAYPOOL!!!!!!!!!
I LOVE CLAY LESPOOL
He did get with Trey Anastasio and stewart copeland and did the Oysterhead thing. It all sounds like Les Claypool.
Claypool played with Copeland? awesome
Ty :)
Les is wearing the same glasses from the Shake Hands With Beef music video.
No matter wat Les's wierd ass songs always seem to cheer me up
...and that dude's pretty groovy to begin with.
i mean seriously. claypool is so fucking cool. and talented.
Yes, similar. Apart from this definitely being better.
...Just like the whole first track from this album: ''Ol' Bob Zimmerman...''
Does Les ever change the height of his bass? In this it looks really low but I often see it a little higher.
Claypool is the only one who understands.
claypool!!!
u know the drummer for the frog brigade is the red hot chilli peppers oringinal drummer jack irons?
eenor kills on this song
And the bucket of berny brains :D
@MagicDexter68 subterranean homesick blues yeah, i think he probably got it from dylan
@Numsefisk25 - WHICH ONE?! There are so many!
Hell Yea!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
indeed!
i was about to say "subterranian homesick blues, anyone?"
love the bob dylan influence
I like it. I wish it had a few more drums in it, but not a bad song.
I can go for some bull frog legs to eat with a side of Buffalo wings. Bull frog legs are delicious and good to eat.
@tommythecat55 the funny thing is i listen to primus and the frog brigade and im not old enough to do either drive or get drunk!
where can I get these mp3s? i couldnt find them on itunes
Pensavo di essere da sola in Italia. L'anno scorso era a Brescia a vedere i Primus, che tristezza di pubblico, 4 gatti che passavano di li' per caso!
Al Royal Albert Hall e' stato molto meglio ;D
is there a sonic connection?
Primus is hard to explain.
This fucking rocks
Primus Lives
He's probably using the envelope filter on his Korg ax3000b, but i'm not sure
@gavit64 - I'm pretty certain that jazz PLAYS Claypool!
