😂”I have done thy mother.”
Then thou shall henceforth be known as a mother..... doer!? 🤔
art thou then mine father
@@juliavandermerwe5384 Who's thy daddy?
@@joshuarice4354 i decree that thou art then mine father as thou hath asked
@@joshuarice4354 not sure they got it😂
Shakespeare has some pretty good insults. One of my favorites is from Macbeth which reads, “You egg! Young fry of treachery!” As well as from Triolus and Cressida, “Thou hast no more brain than I have in mine elbow.”
And in Hamlet to Ophelia: "Get thee to a nunnery!" implying she was a hoe 😂
And don't forget the announcement in the Greek camp on the arrival of Cressida: "The Trojans' trumpet!"
(Pun alert!)
Also Hamlet's "Get thee to a nunnery!" to Ophelia
@@ronantheunissen8233 : Which is especially sharp if you bear in mind that in Elizabethan slang, a "nunnery" was a whorehouse.
@@ismailabdelirada9073 I'm so glad someone got that!
😂🤣 "Villain I have done thy mother".
lol. Imma start using that. Hope I don't get punched out…
Was that in the video?
@@jsmith1174 Yes
Imagine you just chilling in the 1500’s and you just hear some dude shouting “VILLIAN… I have done thy mother”
They didn't actually bathe in arsenic but it was a common ingredient in makeup and skin care and the woman might not have known it was poisonous, professionals did but they didn't feel the need to stop it's production as an ingredient until it started to become known to the public and shown to he exceedingly harmful
..the more things change..
Only the wealthy would have used it ...sooo....🤔. Maybe it wasn't such a bad idea.
@@jc7997aj commie detected
@@jc7997ajI forgot that having a high number of paper makes you a bad person
@@youtubesucks1821all thumbs are fingers but not all fingers are thumbs.
Not EVERY person of wealth and power is a bad person, but every bad person is a person of wealth and power. At least, I've never heard of any poor man who lacked power committing evil deeds and conspiratorially manipulating the masses to his benefit (be it financial or otherwise).
Basically, you can be Bruce Wayne, or you can be Lex Luther. Most ppl fall prey to becoming Luther because it's the easier path but, either way, whether youre Bruce or Lex, you are still a member of the rich and powerful elite.
The earliest known joke is a your momma joke, but it was found on a Babylonian tablet.
Some people say every woman is a sex worker even your mother just ask your father. Other people say STFU. Who can say which is correct, certainly not me, and definitely not Joe Biden he doesn't even know where he's at.
Diving into the world of storytelling and creativity, and guess what? VideoGPT appeared on my radar. It's like having a secret weapon that effortlessly elevates the pro quality of my videos.
What did it say?
@@jilliandavis2970 I can't account for this "Babylonian tablet" but I can tell you that there is graffiti in Pompeii about someone's mother giving good head.
That was actually a lie on the internet but I assume you knew that
Having pale skin was seen as a sign of wealth in the past, since the rich tended to spend less time outside in the sun, thus giving them paler skin than the rest.
It’s also why being fatter was considered more attractive. You had more access to food. Now we have too much food so being fitter is better as you care for yourself more.
The past? That is still the beauty standard in E/SE Asia. And yes, it is rooted in social status rather than racial stereotypes that the West lables everything regarding skin colour
@@Dartheious We weren’t talking about east Asia.
You didn’t mention native Americans, are you racist?!
@@Dartheious woah dont say its the whole west
many of us are sane and know its as much nonsense as you do.
@@Ranger1812yes because back in those times it was harder to survive so it was more attractive to be obviously wealthy enough to afford food where as today everyone can buy food so being fit and healthy is more attractive, all has to do with necessity
Victorian's didn't think arsenic would be a problem unless you ate it...which explains why it's in just so many things from that time period. From soap to wallpaper and even rat poison.
Rat poison?
@@Supermanpower3000 Yup... you'd think that would be a big clue that it's a bad idea to be using the stuff to "improve their complexion".
Or they knew it was dangerous and used it anyways. After all, taht's what we did with lead, lead poisoning is known for millenias, but we still used it in paint last century ^^
@@krankarvolund7771 Yeah, I seem to recall the US banning lead paint in 1978 and the UK doing the same in 1992.
@@suzukablade And leaded-fuel was only ban in 1996 in the US and in 2000 in Europe ^^'
Poor foxes. I bet they ate their hens or something.
Poor foxes🥺
BABOOON
I wonder if the appearance of so many 6's in the Great Fire of London spooked people
They got whiter skin because they were at deaths door, ouch!
One could say, ghost-white.
history is full of absurd things, but we still have absurd stuff in our current age. They are considered alot more absurd than what they have done imo
Yes like how now people think men can be women and vice versa. Future generations will laugh at this absurdity
"Arsenic however is pretty poisonous"
Well there's an understatement.
It's crazy how white women in the Victorian era wanted even whiter skin.
They wanted to look like they had tuberculosis.
Only crazy if you're American.
I mean it's extreme ya. But why is it really that crazy?
@@RitzyRain it's literally in the insane history facts list.
@@ghiblikami5329 no. The crazy part is the chemical they used. YOUR saying it's crazy because they wanted whiter skin
I’m proud as a black man to see that a fellow black man was the first to “do thy mother”
That pic of the monkey in overalls goes hard.
We all know why we clicked 😂
Imagine dying from taking a bath that you thought was perfectly safe.
"How did Victoria die?"
"We have no idea, but she died while having a bath. :("
Dude. "Villain, I have done thy mother" got me HARD!
Someone needs to turn this into a skit. Wheres the Babylon Bee at? 😂
Got you hard? Did you know his mother too?
I heard elsewhere they used arsenic as a lotion instead of bathing in it to get rid of body hair (like nair but worse)
fox tossing? damn i wanna do that!
Imaginary bumper sticker on a Toyota Cressida: "My other car is a Troilus."
Victorian women absolutely knew that arsenic was poisonous. How do you think they got out of bad marriages before legal divorce?
"How much one would go to look even whiter" 😬
The baboon is also noted as never missing a signal
This is my problem about short videos...I can't decide which one to make a comment to.
I love how you captured the shaky cam feel of these.
The last one: people used to play games where they threw foxes as high as they could!
Me: *Traumatized because I love foxes*
Beauty isn't about fair skin but smooth skin. Nothing puts me off like hairy women.
youre probably hairy yourself
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder
imagine the fox lands on some unsuspecting person 😂😂😂😂😂
Thanks for the video 👍🏻
Added line for _A Comedy of Errors:_ "Dromio, O Dromio!/Which one art thou, Dromio?"
Even better is back then calling one a villain was pretty much calling them a peasant
RUclipsr I have done thy mother🤐....i'll see myself out🤷🏽
They knew it was poisonous. They didn't care. They also used mercuric oxide as blush.
Ah yes, good ol Fox Throwing. No wonder I love foxes so much. When will we be adding that one to the Olympic Games? Or even the Special Olympics?
Poor foxes 😢
Arsenic is in your tap water to this day
It's conductive and so was all of the garments they wore.
Pepi II. Sounds like a meme coin.
Poor foxes

Didn’t know shakespeare was chill like that
Im in Thailand at the moment. The local girls are obsessed with being whiter. There are whitening agents in most body toiletries creams and even underarm sprays.
Hey I'd fit right in during the Victorian Era I'm naturally pasty, sadly though now it's the tanner the prettier
I read "they wanted to have winter skin" I was so confused
You think it is a coincidence that in 1666 died only 6 people in the great fire?
Maybe wrong story, but in the baboon story, there is a conductor named "Karen" which actually asks for the manager, i wish i was joking
Idk the context behind "i have done thy mother" but is it not like the mother was done in? Which basically means killed. Just my thought process.
So that's where the name 'flying foxes' come from 😅
They knew it was poisonous, otherwise why would it be called inheritance powder?
The first yo mama joke actually predates Shakespeare
Sir Francis Shakespeare Drake was a cover band at best. Even his KJV Bible is a cover song.
Effort to be beautiful or is it Psychosis?
Fox tossing is wrong on so many levels. Just wow.
I'll be honest with you. I might have copied the guy that coated others in honey so the flies would leave him be.
”I have done thy mother.” thats not exactly a Yo Mama joke.....more of just a statement.....
Arsenic then, botulism now

What did they pay the baboon with?
It's called a jam boy
Yes
That arsenic was entirely based on racism
Nothing related to toxic standards of beauty and popularity
First one is apocryphal. 2nd one is misleading. It was a thing for a brief time until people started getting sick, which happened pretty quickly. It was not a thing for nearly long enough to say "Victorian women did this"
The great fire of 1666 killed 6 people? Sounds biblical
Not gonna lie fox tosing looks fun
GREAT fire killed 6 people, and Churchills stealing of food from Indians caused more than 10 million peoples death due to this man made famine in bengal. Call it great Famine caused by Churchil.
The ultimate buffer state
No in the epic of gilgamesh there is a yo mama joke
First ever, and first recorded are two different things.
The victorian one actually just proves how gullible consumers are. Men have certain things they blindly consume, but women are especially bad at this. It's crazy how many of them are in debt for buying absolutely useless things like shoes and such.
Pepi Le pew the 2nd
It's actually questionable as to who wrote Titus Andronicus and it's believed by many that he was at most merely a co-writer given it's gratuitous nature not really meshing with the rest of Shakespeare's body of work.
If only those Victorian women listened to Nickelback they would’ve looked super white
Throwing foxes as high as they could...lol wth why

White skin is the best! I appreciate the trouble they got in just to look whiter!❤
In 2134: Historical facts, you didn't know.
In 2023, people would use their ancient machines called computers to generate images and make cringy mini movies called "youtube videos".
They made this using an archaic program called "A.I" and back then the people who used these programs called themselves "artists" even though the program was made by stealing art from actual artists.
Those where truly barbaric days, where ignorance reigned supreme.
I've started an account on RUclips
First seek should be God - our lives are short but our eternal souls last forever - Jesus wants us all home
They changed th AI voice finally
This is the guy's voice...I listen to his channel... this isn't A.I 😂
I despise this format. This is how we are going to transfer information? Half explained and no longer than 3 seconds.
Most of this is technically untrue but you don’t give any broader content or explanation so people lap it up.
Like the arsenic baths. You can bathe in it, it doesn’t go through the skin so it’s essentially harmless.

Just for everyone knows because the narrator didn't wanna tell you, being pale was a sign of higher status because only the poor had to work in the sun but rich and powerful people could afford to just sit inside and not get any vitamin D.
It's beyond that. People perceived white skin angelic and it had this halo effect on it. So this is not far from modern women getting bbls for the attention
