  • Hello everyone and thank you for checking out this wow classic video! If you're enjoying these videos or have any questions, please let me know in the comments below, like the videos and subscribe! They really help out the channel and help more people learn these strategies!
    This video is the third video in a new series I'm making on how to level an AOE mage fast in classic wow! This video shows the horde farms from 22-30! With the transition to TBC coming up, a lot of people want mages for gold farming, tbc pvp, and to prep for tbc release. There's also a new server people are using as a "fresh classic" server, so I wanted to make this series to help you all with leveling your mages in the open world aoe farms as quickly as possible!
    Thank you everyone and I hope this video helped you in some way! If it did or if you have any questions, please let me know in the comments below. Look forward to seeing you all in the next video!

    I want to let you know that years later this is still an excellent resource. I was going to quit trying when I originally went to the far East location but once I went back to the Fields where you were I was getting to the point where I could pull 5-6 at a time at lvl 22-23. Thank you so much!

    Good video, and I'm glad you showed how so many of your pulls were really dicey, some of which even had to be abandoned. I leveled my mage to 60 based on your older videos and other guides by people like Jokerd. I feel like everyone only edits in their best pulls, when in reality there are a lot more pulls like the ones you showed here. That was my experience, anyways: lot's of scuffed pulls, deaths, near-deaths, or eating and drinking twice after every pull.
    In the end, I'm not sure how much better this is than a much more low-stress playstyle on several other classes. Or just a conventional frost or fire spec and questing and doing dungeons with pugs or friends.

    Very helpful guide :D The nice thing about AoE farming is that it can scale insanely with gear. I sometimes group up with a priest or a warrior/paladin, which adds a lot more safety into those pulls. If you do it right you can even increase leveling speed compared to solo runs.

    Could you give a quick note about some "breaking points" at which you should hit a trainer to upgrade spells?

    i have tryed the hilsbrand farmes but i was ganked a lot so i thought about another spots and tryed the quarry in the barrens and this spot is perfect
    no ranged mobs
    hyperspawn
    and nearly no competition^^

    • @janbinder7423
      @janbinder7423 2 года назад

      May I ask where that is? Never heard "Quarry" in connection with barrens. Hillsbrad is a gankzone in SoM, specially when on 80% aliance server :-/
      lvl 29 but struggling in mines, lot of aditional aggro, difficult to pull of.

    great guide! What about frost DMG at that lvl gap (azure set + spidersilk boots). Is it worth it? maybe some mid lvl (cheap) enchants too.. thanks for the video.

      frost damage is meh for aoe, blizzard coefficient from SP is garbage. You almost always want max intel/stam for AOE.

    The farms/mines if uncontested is a fantastic spot for aoe. prior to theses spots I like the Greymane Wall in southern silverpine. although challenging there is a vendor who sells potions right on the spot. (the mobs backstab and stun) Gooodluck mages.

      It's a big learning curve there for beginners, but I started there and it took mme about an hour or two to learn and I'm really good and aoe leveling now!

    I got a sick leveling set up and works so well. I leveled a prot pally. Had my shaman 70 follow me around. Different accounts. We are not grouped. I'll gather then on pally so I get the tag. And when I heal from. Shaman they attack my shaman. When I've gathered enough I do my aoe skill on my pally. Once they are 50% or below I drop magma totem. All die instantly. Getting full exp. Most of the agro goes on the one healing so can pull alot. Doesn't work the same if I attack with shaman. Has to be the totem similar to the lock pets.

      The best alliance spot for the 20s is raven hill. Mobs there start around level 23. Then as you level you can pick different spots in duskwood focusing on the worsens.

    Shouldn’t you be targeting mobs that green to you for aoe farming just to mitigate the resists? I would think the lower experience yield still out does the higher exp mobs because you won’t have any or as many botched pulls.

  • @Evelyn208
    @Evelyn208 2 года назад

    Can you start with 1/3 Imp Blizz at 20 or 20/21 would you still recommend the Flamestrike/AE strategy that you use pre-20? Definitely respeccing at 22 but wondering if I could do it earlier at 20.

    love it. also i farm the crushridge ogers in alterac... from 34-40. u can pull 4-5.. but the only problem with these guys is they hit.... Hard! and there spaced apart. so 3-5 mobs a pull just take it easy and think ahead as they almost are a hyper spawn.

    God the first farmer pull is terrible. I feel like you shouldn't start this at 22 unless you've got REALLY good gear. It's just too tight. Unless you're experienced with this (Which you probably aren't if youre just at lvl 22 for the first time AOE farming) its way too easy for a single resist to get you killed.
