Well, Taemin is considered the best dancer in the kpop industry and it isn't just my subjective opinion, almost every kpop fan agrees on that.

In Good Evening there are quite a few references to Jonghyun; the fox is a character from either his favorite book or children's book and the old man who was projected behind Onew was the author, there are a few other in it as well as the other comeback MVs. Also, if you react to Our Page you should check out the lyrics because the members wrote(or helped write) them.

I'll say that to really get SHINee and how amazing they are, you need to listen to their b-side tracks. There's where the true gold is. I hope you enjoy them because they are seriously one of the most talented groups in kpop, no matter the generation.

still not done , you should react to their solo music , Taemin and Jonghyun had solo activities, and Taemin is considered of the best solo artists ( coming from a group ) to debut as a solo artist .
The first soloist from any group has an advantage in being successful by having more support from the fans than then next soloists.
Besides that Taemin's solo is very well promoted and he's doing a popular genre all the time unlike Jonghyun's old and unique genres he was using.
Jonghyun made his solo songs by himself. SM bought songs for Taemin which MUST be promoted well.
Jonghyun had 20 Agit concerts in 2 months last year. And he's the first SM artist to have the Agit concert. I wouldn't call that unsuccessful to be honest.
honestly, you’re probably one of my favorite reaction channels alongside JREML & FormOfTherapy ( of course ) , others are so problematic and during december they popped out videos about him like it was nothing , only really wanting clout . PD ( form of therapy) did a video sending his regards because he he’s a huge fan . I honestly respect you so much because you waited , though we may never heal , we know how much he had done for all his fans , and when he passed people used him clout and it was disgusting, atleast we know you would never .

I get a Lady Gaga vibe from SHINee. I doubt many people will get what I mean but to me SHINee is kinda like if Lady Gaga was a boygroup. I know it sounds weird but their brave fashion, some of their songs, stage presence etc. - it's often very 'flamboyant' (idk if that's the right word). Once you watch their live performances and listen to more songs maybe you'll get it lol
...But it might be because Key is part of the group and he's a massive fan of Lady Gaga, he even covered her songs a few times.

Kiwi Everyone reacts differently to tragedies like this one. For me personally, hearing their voices has been a huge help to me, and I listened to them pretty much non-stop in the weeks after Jonghyun passed. However, if you’re not ready to listen to them, don’t pressure yourself to do so. Stay strong, my fellow Shawol 💙💙💙

SHINee has such a special place in my heart. I was only just getting into them in November last year so when December came around... it hit me hard. Honestly I'm still not over it. I cry whenever I watch "Our Page" or Jonghyun's solo stuff. But they're so good! They're industry leaders and they have truly earned that position.
SHINee got me into kpop back in 2009, I felt in love with their dance, vocals, visuals, personalities, rap, performance, their lyrics, everything. I haven't watch any reaction since what happened with Jjong because i wasn't ready, but You're being so respectful and I really appreciate that, I really love your reaction 💞💎

Thank you for being so respectful and thoughtful regarding shinee! For a lot of us fans it was very difficult to hear of his death and as someone who has been their fan for years I was afraid new wouldn’t pay attention to them or would use it to get attention. I hope you check out more shinee in the future. And yes, they have been around for a very long time. It’s sad that jonghyun passed just before their 10th anniversary but they created an album as a way to commemorate him and all that they’ve done together.

Honestly you are probably one of the most respectful person that have reacted to the since what happened in December. For Shawols: I’m mad y’all didn’t recommend ‘Ring Ding Dong’ for his introduction to SHINee. Its a lot to handle for someone’s first SHINee video. I love it but some people are fake and don’t like it. I don’t like those people.

Although that particular playlist may be mostly my faves, one of the many beautiful things about SHINee is that they've done *many* different styles throughout the years, as they are the kings of being contemporary and starting trends! So their songs can fit a wide variety of tastes! There numerous non-title track songs are very much worth your time too, if you are interested at all. And if you're up for it, I CAN'T STRESS ENOUGH FOR YOU TO CHECK OUT JONGHYUN'S AND TAEMIN'S SOLO STUFF!!!!! Jonghyun, along with being an AMAZING singer, was also an INCREDIBLE songwriter, and his solo albums really prove that (he wrote quite a few songs for SHINee, and his solo album *She Is* holds a personal special place in my heart). And Taemin - the dancing machine himself lol! - has some of the most impressive dances in Kpop! (his Japanese hits Sayonara Hitori and Flame of Love are ****ing beautiful, and the entire *MOVE* album is literal perfection!! Make sure to watch the music video for MOVE (sidenote: prepare your heart because uhhh my poor gay fanboy heart wasn't ready for his beauty lmao 💙))
Anyway, sorry for writing so much! I hope you and anyone reading this is doing well, but in case anyone is having a hard time: Please know that you are not alone. I know how hard it is to struggle, especially when there seems to be no end in sight... In fact, I'm still in a very bad place in my life. I deal with chronic pain, numerous mental illness and disabilities that have made every moment of my life painful and difficult for the past seven years... And although some days are harder than others, I have finally come to realize the value in life in everyone, including myself. You ARE valued. And you DO deserve to exist. Exactly as you are, no matter how much or how little you think you can offer. No matter how often society may try to convince you that your only value is in how productive you are, how "beautiful" you are, how "successful" you are, etc, I promise that you are worthwhile beyond any of those superficial measures. You are inherently worthy. Depression lies (I know this firsthand), but the truth is you are enough, and you have always been enough, and you will always be enough! So please, keep growing. Even if it means that some days all you can do is breathe. Breathe. Feel the cool air as you inhale, and feel the warm air as you let it out again. You deserve to see the sunlight. You deserve the night stars. You deserve the entire world and one day I hope we can be here to find all the joy and love the universe has in store for us, maybe even when we least expect it. Sending all my love to anyone who needs it. Take care, beautiful creatures. Just as Jonghyun made the world a better place, this world is a better place with us on it. It would be awesome if you could check out Shinhwa. They are the oldest boy group, without disbanding and with no members leaving. They are celebrating there 20th anniversary this year and I would be amazing I you could listen to a few of their songs because in my opinion they are one of the best performers and a live vocalist. I would suggest Perfect Man, Touch and Sniper

I love their latest song All your dreams too... they are not the oldest boy group actually, Sechkies is the oldest boy group that exist right now, but Sechkies had their disbanded time, so Shinwa is the group that hold the title of the longest running idol in history. Btw, Sechkies are also amazing.

I remember someone said “shinee isn’t my favorite group but whenever I listen to there music I just feel good and happy, there music is just what you need when your down” and I agree. Shinee is my ult boy group and there music always makes me feel happy, there so incredibly talented and such amazing people that I both respect and love. I hope you listen to more of shinee music in the future and I’d would recommend literally everything but in particular “excuse me miss” because my god the flow is beautiful and to this day it still gives me goosebumps

To understand SHINees's "Good Evening" MV you need to know is that its only been 7 months since their main vocalist, Jonghyun died. its all about how SHINee and Shawols have been grieving and are finally ready to begin to heal and come out of the darkness into the light. The album is called "The Story of Light" and its all about finding the light out of the darkness, etc. Its about how the members are learning to continue on without Jonghyun and find happiness and light in a situation that will forever be difficult. May 25 was SHINee's 10th anniversary so this was also important because it was a comeback to commemorate their 10 years as a group.
SHINee debuted in 2008 when Onew was 18, Jonghyun was 17, Minho and Key were 16 and Taemin was 14, so now after 10 years they are all in their late to mid 20s. Onew will be entering the military before the end of the year because in Korean age he is considered to be 30. So this is another reason why this comeback is important because at the end of all this, it will be at least 2 years, probably more, as the rest of the members will have to enter the military to serve their mandatory service over the next few years, before we see them all back together again.
The choreography is very deliberate. The reason the choreography is like that is because it depicts them going through the grieving process and it tells the story of all the emotions they went through and how now at the end they have made the choice to continue on as a group and keep on running, etc. You need to watch their dance practice and their live comeback stage on one of the music programs such as M Countdown for this song to really appreciate the intricacy that is this choreography. It is really complex and beautiful and really fits the song well, once you see it in its entirety and start to understand the story behind it all.
Not only is the shadow that appears when they look into the tunnel/well (whatever you call it) speculated to be Jonghyun's shadow, but the fox is thought to also represent him. Onew intensely stares into the eyes of the fox, almost as if he is communicating with the fox through his thoughts, and to me its as if he is sharing a moment with Jonghyun. There is a fox in the story "The Little Prince" and "The Little Prince' was one of Jonghyun's favorite stories, plus a fox often represents the after life and the spirit of someone who has passed on reincarnated in many cultures. Also in the beginning you see an empty chair. An empty chair is often used to represent the spirit of someone who has passed on as well.
But that's just a small portion of the hidden messages within this MV. If you really delve in deep you will discover that the whole MV can be connected to SHINee forever being 5 members and them including Jonghyun in all that they do. There are 5 trees at the end which could represent the fact that, as Onew has said, even though you may only see 4 members on stage, SHINee will forever be a group of 5. They are in a room full of cameras and their images are being projected on the TV screens, which i see as representing the fact that because SHINee is living in the public eye they can never escape from always being watched by the public. Which doesn't allow them the private space to really grieve and to express themselves privately and they are always being judged (both the members in their grieving process and what Jonghyun had to go through and what ultimately led him to feeling the way he did, etc.) The story in the MV is showing the 5 stages of grief (denial, anger, bargaining, depression and acceptance) the members went through and how they have now at the end of the MV started to find their way out of it and have made the choice to continue to keep on running and continue on as a group, etc.. But I could go on and on ... every part of this MV has a deeper message and meaning, you just have to open yourself up to the fact that everything in this MV has multiple meanings and purposes.
We should all just prepare ourselves that it is always going to be emotional for us from now on and there is nothing wrong with that. In SHINee's fan meeting for their 10th anniversary the members all vowed that SHINee will always be 5 and that Jonghyun will always be involved in everything they do. And during the fan meeting when they performed the choreo for some of their most iconic songs they intentionally left Jonghyun's spot open and only filled in for him when something just wouldn't work without someone in that position. I think we are always going to have reminders of him in all that SHINee does from now on, and that is the way it should be. He was loved and will never be forgotten, and when possible, should always be involved in things that have to do with SHINee. OT5 forever and ever.
I think we can feel Jonghyun's presence and influence in this album and songs because a lot of what made SHINee's sound uniquely SHINee (and this album is no exception) was because of Jonghyun. He not only shaped SHINee's sound because he was the main vocal of the group but he also wrote and composed over 60 percent of SHINee's songs, so he can be felt in everything they do. It wouldn't be SHINee if we didn't hear his influence shine through in their music, that is what makes SHINee's sound so unlike any other. This comeback made me so happy :D
Like EXO, where we have to search for the hidden meanings and messages in their MVs to piece together their story, I think from now on we will always be searching for the hidden messages and moments that represent Jonghyun in everything SHINee does.
SHINee are known for their live vocals and amazing dancing. They are known as CD quality singers because they sound just as good live, if not better, than they do recorded. SHINee always sings live. The Only thing they are not good at is lip syncing so they avoid it at all costs, so when you hear SHINee singing 95 percent of the time it will be live. They have trained their entire career to be able to sing live and always sound flawless while performing extremely complex choreography. You really should check out some of their live performances because their stages are like none other. Their concerts last 3 to 4 hours straight and they perform nonstop and never sound out of tune or out of breath. They are also one of the best dancers in Kpop and they have some of the best harmonies you will ever hear. You know how good of vocalists EXO are, well the members of SHINee actually were mentors to a lot of the EXO members and they helped coach them in their singing. EXO and SHINee were in the same trainee classes together and yet SHINee debuted 5 years before EXO, so that just goes to show you a little bit of what makes SHINee so amazing and why they are considered legends.
Shinee is so legendary and have too many bops to fit in one video tbh. Some are ring ding dong, wiev, sherlock, everybody +++ also react to taemins solo stuff, drip drop choreo is so awesome

This is honestly one of the best shinee reaction vids I've seen and I hope you watch more or their songs even if you don't record it/"react," and I would HIGHLY recommend watching Taemin and Jonghyuns solo work, they have drastically different styles but they're both amazing!

Thank you for reacting to our boys. I’ve been listening to SHINee since their debut 10 years ago, and I’ve always been so proud of them. I feel like I grew up with them as cheesy as that sounds. You seem very genuine, which has been rare to see recently by non-shawols, and it is so refreshing to see you excited to check out their music. I’m really glad you enjoyed them, they are an incredible group, and I hope you continue to listen to more of their music! Their music truly is on a whole new level. They do experiment with a lot of different sounds in both their title and side tracks, but they always have that distinct, awesome SHINee feeling. I would also highly recommend Jonghyun’s and Taemin’s solo music as well, since they branch out into their own unique styles too. I have only been a SHINee fan for a few months. Back in December I barely knew SHINee and yet whenever I hear Replay or watch the MV I cry so much... I felt terrible to go to a memorial for him when I didn't know Jonghyun but it still hit me so hard because it was the same year my own grandmother died, it was a hard year but Kpop got me through it
I agree that show u have respect. Its the thought that matters. It was sad but u will love there music. Xx.

SHINee are known to be extremely experimental with their music, they have dabbled in many, many genres of music, not just R&B and Pop, but also Jazz, Disco/Funk, New Jack Swing, Rock, Dubstep, EDM, Reggae, Dancehall, Deep house, UK Garage, and more, and many times they've done hybrids of these genres as well, yet they can always make their music sound SHINee-esque. Please also listen to their b-side tracks in their albums, they are sometimes better than the title tracks, and that is definitely saying something. Thanks for your reaction 😊
I'm glad you love SHINee. They are one of my top top groups. Like they are so amazing. They are the ONLY kpop group that have the amount of albums they do and I can listen to all of them on repeat. I have a 10 hour SHINee playlist. It's not a game. Once you find SHINee there is no going back. You should watch some of their lives performances. They are the king of live. As someone that saw them in real life it's literally breathtaking. The harmonies, the vocals, the dancing, the stage presence. They have it all. Lol have fun becoming a Shawol.
I've always said that SHINee is the group with members that if they were all put into separate groups, they could each be the main dancers.

Your video popped up in my recommended videos and I almost skipped it as I tend to not agree with or feel.. uncomfortable the way people view SHINee because as a Shawol it never feels like they quite got it but oh my goodness I'm so glad I did click on this video. Your video is so incredibly respectful and caring towards the group and I appreciate how you handled what happened in December. You acknowledged it showed you understood while still very much celebrating SHINee. Also.. you get it. You get what SHINee is about. What their music is about. They are forever the Princes of K-pop. Their entire discography is so diverse and they touch on so much. They have songs for every mood and every moment in your life. I think part of why it's so painful for me to digest that one of the members of SHINee is gone forever is because SHINee has always been that group that was "constant". Members leave and groups disband so often in kpop but SHINee was that one group that just kept going through everything together. You know, I used to stan One Direction (is that embarassing?...) and I was really sad when Zayn left. When I started to get into SHINee and saw that they were together for about 8 years I thought "wow, they've been together for so long, what a dedicated group, at this point probably no one is going to leave, I hope stanning them is going to be more peaceful". Soon they became my fave fivesome and I was so sure they will stay all together till the end. Stanning them was very fun and the most drama-free experience until December. Then the tragedy happened and it was one of the most devastating things. Although we are recovering and Shawols still remain one of the most funny, memey fandoms! :D
Jonghyun was one of the most talented kpop idols and had a very unique, distinct voice which kinda adds to the "severity" of the loss because we will never be able to listen to that beautiful voice live or on new tracks again :(
Is it too extreme to say Jonghyun's voice had a slight Michael Jackson vibe? It wasn't the same by any means but some of the ways in which he sang kinda reminded me of MJ...
I normally hate reaction videos, so I'm not sure what made me click on your video in the first place, but thank you for this. You seem like an intelligent dude who genuinely likes music, and doesn't judge a group unless you look into them first. My favorite SHINee album is Odd, so I recommend checking it out. Odd Eye is a masterpiece. Their live stages are mind-blowing. I'm glad you like SHINee as much as I do, hopefully you'll get into them and stay by their side for many years. They need good people like you instead of toxicity they've been getting from other fandoms.
Their live performances are so much better. I almost always prefer their lives over their studio / mv versions. You should definitely check those out. And more than their music and talent, it's shinee's personality that makes them shine. Thank you for reacting to them!

Some other good SHINee songs are Everybody, Sherlock, & Symptoms. I'd really appreciate it if you reacted to Ladies Code & 100%. Both groups have lost members. Ladies Code lost 2 in a car crash. Their new sound is a lot different from when they were all together. 100% has been around for a while & are fantastic vocalists and dancers & they recently debuted some amazing songs in Japanese. Their leader recently passed & they just had their first comeback without him. It's important to celebrate the life and work of the idols who have passed as well as the efforts of their fellow members who have survived them.
