The remote has to be paired with the box and you can use Bluetooth instead of IR. Follow the directions on the back of the remote. Do you know if this can pass Dolby Vision?

I really like this box and am interested but there are so many resellers I don't know who to trust. You also did a video a while back on the Superbox 3 being controlled by an outside server and that it could be controlled by outside source. Is this still the case with the new box?

Bluetooth the remote to the box. the instructions are on the battery cover on the remote, then you wont have to point the remote at the box anymore

Why don't you convert regular remote to Bluetooth? then you don't have to point it at unit.
