@@jameshemmings1542 we're past the point of annoyance. If you decide to stay out of politics, politics will get it's hands into you.
Unfortunately there are truly evil people holding the reigns of power because most of us decided to turn a blind eye to the levers of control. You don't have to talk about it if you don't want to, but don't comment on his shirt then. Just accept it, because right now there are people trying to convince people who don't pay much attention that their neighbors are evil for not falling in line with a machine that's done nothing but strip and rob us.
I understand why you would want to stay out of it because I once felt the same way, but the truth is that there is a train coming at us and you can stand in the same place sleeping and get rolled over, or you can wake up and get the fuck out the way. It's still a dog eat dog world, violence has just taken a backseat for now. That won't last forever, and your insistence on staying out of it is exactly how authoritarian regimes take over- they rely on people's propensity for taking the path of least resistance.
