Thank you for your contributions - I am so glad to have found you! I learned Revit about twelves years ago and I'm so rusty - you are so helpful! :)

This is very helpful! Would you happen to have a demonstration on how to start a new project from scratch which includes an existing and proposed? One confusion I’m having is when starting a new project. ‘I’m probably doing it wrong’ but what I do is, sketch out the existing and highlight everything and change the phase to existing. Then I duplicate the view and start adding new walls as new construction. As a end result, I need an existing floor plan including what’s being demoed and kept, and then a proposed for a plan including the existing with no changes and new construction. I noticed you’re new walls are hatched or filled.. Im not able to get them for some reason…
I’ve been using Revit Creating floor plans and the necessary views and exporting to AutoCAD. making those types of edits is a tedious process and to print. I do want to change my workflow to using only revit and print from there.

Oh yes! You definitely don’t need to duplicate it or anything. It’s all in how you categorize the phase of the elements and then the view you use. I can definitely create a video on this for you! It will save you soooo much time and also reduce errors because you’re working from one single model. I’ll try to get that up within the next week.

agreed a bit confusing if you assume we dont know how to create a demo plan
