I just got back from my first solo travel and it was in Bali too,I stayed in 5 different hostel and it was the best vacation I had so far and man when you said "that's the bad side of solo traveling you will meet a lot of nice people but eventually you gotta leave them as well" this is just so true.
Hey! Thanks for watching the video and sharing your experience! Glad you had the best trip of your life, “so far”😃 Hope you found this helpful:) I just landed in Bangkok today and it’s crazy how that fear of talking to strangers comes back to me every single time I go out backpacking. I know it’s only short lived though and that I eventually will start to talk and meet wonderful people:)
@@joel_liljegren You'll be fine for sure! Me, i just plotted my next holiday in March will be going to SG -Malaysia and Bali again. haha. I will wait for your video in Thailand. Hopefully, I can meet you too as well as a solo traveller!
Thanks for this. I don't know how I would be as a solo traveller, and I'll find out by the end of June since I'll go on my first solo travel abroad. I'll be staying in a hostel too so this is very helpful. Thank you!
I would say I'm selectively social. I stayed in a hostel once when I went to Paris but I stayed in a private room. I'm planning a trip to london now and I would like to take it to the next level of staying in a common room. I'm a bit anxious since I dont know what to expect. Thank you for this video, I think I just have to be brave and try new things! Please upload more!!!!!
Thanks! Definitely, nothing bad will come from trying:) Think more videos will be coming late this year/early next year when I go on a road-trip for 2 weeks from Brisbane to Sydney
When traveling Solo just stay in a communal room and start talking to people in your room,it won't even be hard coz y'all already have traveling in common.. You might even find guys traveling your direction and instantly have travel buddies for the next few weeks and make memories together. By isolating yourself you'll miss out on alot more and definitely won't enjoy yourself as much!
I make plans with other travelers in the hostel and go together with them during the day. Most hostel’s organise daily events, and those are a good to join if you’re looking for friends to travel with :)
If you are solo, you'll be talking to others anyway, whether you are introverted or not. In my experience, you can always just chill alone when you need to recharge and when you feel sociable you can just go talk to anyone anytime. Thats the great thing with hostels, there is always someone open to talk, thats why they chose a hostel the first place.
If it helps you meet people and feel less lonely while solo travelling then I don’t see the reason why not to. Too many people just try to fit in and miss out on happiness by doing so. Do what makes you happy, please
Probably should have a “Nice” counter in this video. Just realised that I mentioned it in every sentence 😅
That’s what you do when you’re in Bali, because everything is so freaking NICE there 🤣
