Great video! A few things of note: 1. The Essence of Damage adds 3 damage to any tool/weapon per enchant. Which is why it doubled the damage of the Iron sword. 3x3=9 and the Iron sword base damage is 9. 2. The sword is, hands down, the best wood harvesting tool. At the time of this comment, it does not cost sword durability to harvest wood type items. To clarify, that is logs, knotroots, and cactus. Bushes and any kind of leafy plants that drops vines will cost durability. If you accidentally hit the cave walls while harvesting Knotroot, that will also cost durability. And naturally if you attack living creatures, the sword durability will go down. 3. Lastly, it is not worth it to put the Essence of Durability on the iron sword. If you wish to extend the life of your iron sword, it's better to max it with Essence of Damage. As seen in the video (3:09) 3x durability does not quite double the lifespan of the tool, but 3x damage doubles the damage of the iron sword. So 3x damage on the sword would actually allow you to kill more things than 3x durability on the same tool.
Tbh blast cores are easy to get the mats are all easy to get once you get setup. The problem is you run out of iron eventually because it doesn't respawn and you only get so many caves on your map. I use full durability on everything I ain't wasting a bit lol
@@onestar1017I don't think you get it, if you use the sword with 3x damage it also needs less hits per enemy. So if your enemy has like 36HP you'll need two hits with the 3x damage and 4 with the 3x durability. Since durability enchantment doesn't double the durability your sword will break earlier with the durability than with the 3x damage.
You can use the shovel to dig up the unwanted trees. You just have to chop them down and when they pop back up as those little saplings, you dig them up
A new glitch to get infinite resources is to place any one of the crafting facilities ie the look or oven against a wall or in a corner and immediately break it, grab its items and then instantly back out of the game. Once to log back in the crafting facility will still be there but if you check your inventory the materials you got before you back out are still there
Chopping wood with swords is a bad idea as it costs 12 iron, 24 brightcore per sword plus the smelting time. If you also put damage on your sword for enemies then that’s a blast core which are rare to find. Axes cost frost wood and obsidian making it so much cheaper and worth the slightly slower chop
It is however worth noting that axes are incredibly cheaper than swords, only requiring copper, plus I believe have more durability. If you're loaded, by all means use a sword, but if you're on a budget just use the axe Edit: according to another comment, apparently trees, knotroot and cactus have no effect on sword durability. Go wild.
Day 5 of requesting a sky village Im impressed your able to keep up with daily uploading its awesome but if you need a break I dont think anyone would mind too bad.
If you angle your camera straight down as you use a geyser so that you can re-land on it the geyser with trigger pretty high off the ground allowing what seems like twice the height. Even hit a triple bounce though I don't think I got much higher then twice the altitude
The sword is amazing for farming wood but another good tip is to find one of those tree patches in the desert and setup a foundation 2 high then add some long platforms on the top to make a long foundation formation then break the very bottom foundation which will allow you to push the long foundation into the trees getting about 100-150 wood for free in about the same time as swinging the sword. That way you save durability on your tools and every time you come pass it you can just give the foundations for a min or 2 for wood
hey kaz! i dont know if anyone else has discovered this bug, but im happy to share it with you. freshly planted crops can be immediately harvested for vines and plants. just put a stack of 50 wheat seeds in a plot and just smack it with a sword and you'll quickly walk away with 50 wheat and 50 vines. ive been using this bug to get tons of vines so i can feed my animals for tons of milk, wool and eggs
Btw with the shovel you can remove saplings from the ground if you want to build an house and the sapling can be frustraiting beacause tree will growi in your house every 5 mins
Durability: This implies that if it is a linear modification, you get an additional 90 uses per durability enchant. Since the epic axe alone can do 450 then 5 durability enchants = 1 epic axe. Shovel: the higher rarity shovels get you more soil per use. Anything above the green shovel is pretty darn useless.
Personally I hate durability on weapons and tools. I wish there was an option to turn it off. Also I think the charms for weapons and tools are just not worth it. I also think they need to lower the base expansion requirement for upping the level of the totem. Lastly I think they should cut the number of bright core from 2 to 1 for each coper and iron bar. I also think the caves should respawn after a while.
@@cristianmeade5791 I have seen some respawning eventually but not the resources. I do not look often as I was grinding resources and cleared 6 caves in the dessert biome and they were not respawning after this.... and had not gone back for a long time after a few days. I did go into one, but I was not sure if I had cleaned it out. This post is of course 2 weeks old. I actually have all 3 villages biomes at level 10, did a finish build on the winter biome, and will likely start rebuilding the starting biome. I used a modified large castle build unlocked from the level 10 dessert biome with a larger wall with a walkway on top on the two sides, tied the walls together by making the 1.5 story small tower into a 2 story with my bedroom on the ground floor and a second story tying the walkways together. I have it accessed from the balcony on the main building and the a new door in the large tower. I also added a gatehouse to it all. So now it looks more like a castle. I have all my storage and most on my crafting in the main building and a barracks in the second building. I am pretty happy with it. One thing they need to do is make the light fixtures WAY brighter. The torch is 10x brighter. They also need to fix your torch not being in your hand when the game loads (your hand is still raised like you are holding it)... and the most annoying one that if you are in a building when you exit and then load back in later you will be stuck in the foundation and have to break your way out of the floor. This is REALLY annoying.
@@Rmprocproc I just double checked in the first dessert cave I ever cleaned out. It was a small one so I do not think there were any enemies, but non of the resources came back. I know the trees regrow and the small rocks and sticks respawn all the time and enemies eventually respawn, but not the things like Obsidian. Obsidian is the resource I struggle with the most because you need something like 55 just to upgrade you village totem and you need some for pickaxes. There are likely other uses, but these are what kills me... and with maxing out a 4th village (I did not like my starting base location or build) I have stripped every single obsidian from probably 8 dessert mines now. But when you are building 3 level 10 villages with all the crafting stations (including the smelter and oven and a level 4 crafting station) you need a lot of high end resources. The power cores are also another resource I struggle with (after doing 3 smelters, 3 ovens, and 3 fire charms) This stops me from doing damage enchantments on my swords. If I could repair weapons it would be far better, but having to blow 3 cores for every sword is WAY too much. Now some say certain enemies and certain chests at certain locations in certain caves will respawn as soon as you get outside the draw distance, but I have yet to find one that does. I am not sure how long it takes before the enemies respawn in a cave after you leave them, but it seems to be more than one day. I did just max out my rebuild on my plains village so now I only need to rebuild my dessert village. It will take a lot because I can not use a blueprint because I built it next to a plateau hoping I could build on top, but the range of the totem up is not very high. It has an arch on one side so I will likely build up the wall as much as I can on both side and the arch is low enough to build on to. It should look nice, but will take a long time to build.
Kaz, I’ve got something I would love to see you try. Next time you reach the building limit try demolishing one of the random npc spots and see if that opens up it counts towards it. I haven’t yet reached the limit or I’d try myself.
Maybe unpopular opinion? This season is prime Fortnite. Keep in mind, not prime battle royale, Prime Fortnite. Festival, Rocket racing, and Lego Fortnite have been really good additions to the game, and may be the start of a new era for Fortnite as a whole. So? What do you think @Kaz ?
8:18 I crafted an epic shovel because I thought I needed it in the snow.. but I was just trying to shovel on an iceberg and not the actual ground which I thought was actually a cool mechanic 😂😂

Damn, that sword for wood trick is interesting, I had no idea!? At this point I'm struggling for sandclaw and sand shell. Have you guys found any particular spawn times that are better for these? I've thought about night time in the desert for wolves but the skellies are scary at night haha :)
When you're looking for it they barely spawn. I spent two days running around looking for a brute. Some of the desert caves have super fast respawn times. You can walk away a bit and comeback and they've respawned. It worked when I was looking for blast cores anyhow. I left with 40 of them.
I found where my dry valley biome met the ocean and collected 17 or 18 roller caps through my trip along its shore. I just ran for my life and they rolled into the water beside me, dying🤷🏻♀️ Try finding a spot you can do that in!
Cool tip, its still easier and faster to use the chest method because you can even use it on dressers that only use wood to craft so youll be able to craft them to do the glitch anytime basically
Actually im pretty sure bushes do break your fall, but its only for the big bushes and not the small ones. I've never played the game so I dont know what would be classified as "big" but just look for extra big bushes i guess
Kaz did you hear that next season we are getting a bunch of new moveability items like cannons and even searing wheels. you should talk about your thoughts on that
I think using sward to farm wood breaks it faster.. nice grapler reset tip! even tho is not used at all with me.. only needed yesterday when my guy got gliched in the ice mountains, when quit the game NOT on the bed, but on some bridge im building.. took me hours to figure out how to get my self out there taking my epic heat charm and restroration charm.. the guy with them dont die which is the only way to escape that place.. once i figured out how to get out, next step was HOW to take charms out there.. had to glitch my self in like 10 more times, with many graplers used to find that it moves me only once in that ice, leaving stuck in the wall :D so at the end figured out to craft explosive barel and that way kill my self with all the charms on me ! :D after 3 tries I made it ! I was afraid im gonna need to find that blastcore again.. luckily NOT ! :D
Apparently the only use for the Shovel is preventing trees from growing back. (Cut down the tree, then dig it up when it's a sapling.) Otherwise useless.
Lol I tried the shovel charm yesterday, I got about the same, I did wonder if it would be better with 3 loot charms. I don't think it's worth it though.
I did a test farming stone with a 3 durability epic pick axe and got 1200 granite (whole inventory) and still had over a quarter of the durability left on it.
Well, its simple, stone does not have the same durability as the ores in the sand caves, you need way less hits to break stone so you use way less of your pickaxe
Lucky for you I glitches in a rock and lost all my stuff. I spent hrs trying to get it back. I ended up making a platform go inside of the Rock then made a bed on that platform go inside the rock with some of the platform was showing (was a small island). Then went to sleep in the bed to get in the island, got my bag and swam out without being stuck. Game is really glichy
I know how you can walk on lava some more so you have to go where those edges are other than just go into them and then you’ll be able to walk on lava again, but make sure not to jump❤
Once I glitched under the map like you did entering a desert cave to and I got so scared that I immediately closed Fortnite and when I got back on I was just outside the cave
I actually love the epic shovel bc I tend to farm for soil a lot for my Lego gardens, so collecting 60-70 soil w a epic shovel rather than 5-10 soil w a grey and so above is less time consuming jus as the better axes n pickaxes for metal etc but bc some don’t find interest in gardening in Lego might not see the goodness of the purple shovel
Did you know if you plan to build a bridge there is a max distance you can build before it will stop, I have tested this by building stairs from grasslands to jump to the dessert, I then thought let's build the same stairs to jump back, then I decided just for fun I wanted to connect them, starting from the dessert I maxed out my distance from the initial build point, I could see my grasslands stairs and jump platform so I went from that side, it wouldn't connect so I took a set of stairs and dropped down one flight and connected by going up one flight, it then broke half of my build completely erasing it from the map rather than making you reharvest the fallen stairs and platform

Just found you recently and I think you're my Lego Fortnite RUclipsr now ❤️ keep up the good content bro
Use the shovel in other bioms such as desert to get desert biom loot if u use it in grasslands you get grasslands loot which is not good
Bushes do indeed save you from fall damage but only big bushes
so durability increase per stack is only 20% (60% total for 3 stacks)
Next, how many licks does it take to get to the center of a Tootsie Pop.
Thanks for doing that! Subscribed and liked!
For the grappler you dont even have to do the chest , just exit to the lobby & join game again . The grappler still gives you 30 shots again.
It’s true the big bushes do but the small dont
If you dig in the lava cave does it allow you to get bright core or something besides crops?
Kaz, the first episode I watched was the storage room I think, I have watched all of your videos under 3 hrs of them being out. I love you vids!❤
Kaz did you hear that next season we are getting a bunch of new moveability items like cannons and even searing wheels. you should talk about your thoughts on that
Another big W about farming with a sword is that it takes no damage from your sword
Also I have a giant garden so I’ve used the shovels a lot 😂
Shovels are used in caves for digging treasure.
the epic shovel scoops more soil per dig than the regular. regular just digs 1 at a time. epic did like 4 or 5 per
Cool video! Also luck charm works with other tools
(Cut down the tree, then dig it up when it's a sapling.) Otherwise useless.
doesn’t work on rock
I’ve gotten more than just soil with a shovel, I was using a green shovel idk if that makes a difference but it had no essences
The sword takes up more durability when used for mining wood and is harder to get
your sword doesn’t take damage for mining trees
Lucky for you I glitches in a rock and lost all my stuff. I spent hrs trying to get it back. I ended up making a platform go inside of the Rock then made a bed on that platform go inside the rock with some of the platform was showing (was a small island). Then went to sleep in the bed to get in the island, got my bag and swam out without being stuck. Game is really glichy
Triple durability gave you 60% more durability. I think that's worth it since it's so cheap.
I know how you can walk on lava some more so you have to go where those edges are other than just go into them and then you’ll be able to walk on lava again, but make sure not to jump❤
Since the first video from you it‘s like a routine every Morning. Btw i‘m from germany and just woke up, so Merry Christmas everybody!!!
I wonder if u stacked 3 good luck charms on a shovel. Would that make a difference?
Try digging the shovel in snow biome do seeds found differ based on biome?
Once I glitched under the map like you did entering a desert cave to and I got so scared that I immediately closed Fortnite and when I got back on I was just outside the cave
I found that you can plant slap berry and after it is grown you can break the plot and then use the plots for all the other plants.
Maybe try using the shovel in different biomes like the snow biome to get different stuff
I think digging in the caves might give you other stuff
i love ur vids kaz
Me always collecting soil and pooh to expand my garden in Lego Fortnite 😂
So me I do I made the epic shovel😫😂
I actually love the epic shovel bc I tend to farm for soil a lot for my Lego gardens, so collecting 60-70 soil w a epic shovel rather than 5-10 soil w a grey and so above is less time consuming jus as the better axes n pickaxes for metal etc but bc some don’t find interest in gardening in Lego might not see the goodness of the purple shovel
2:13 He is the Messiah!
You still need the purple axe for mining frostwood.
Simple big balloon plane works if u don't try to land it. I am using it for 1 week I just land with glider and build stairs to the plane.
I think there’s times rainbow butterflies go into the ground in which case you would need a shovel right? Also maybe the luck charm could affect that?
Is that why a butterfly keeps flying into the ground under the porch I built?
So the grapple refresh in chest works? I know the others don't since I started late. I'll try, thanks.
