Good Stuff guys. Thanks for touching on these « normal folk » sleds lik you did the ADV 136/650 . I was bugging you to do that last year because I bought a 2023 . This S4 XC looks like it might be a great partner sled for my ADV..
I realize your bread and butter is racing and high powered stuff.

Can you touch on how to switch ride modes on them? Eco, normal, sport. I have the same sled that is in the video can not find anything on the modes. The manual doesn’t mention it at all. Thanks
Love the videos, would you guys ever consider doing reviews / set up videos on used sleds that come threw the shop? I have a 2019 polaris assault 800 that I'd love to see content on or a similar model from you guys
Hey William! Thanks for the support. So that sled is the exact same as the assaults we review now. Same suspension front to back so what we talk about on the videos on the new assaults also works for your sled! Give them a watch and if you have any questions let me know I’d be happy to help
Great video, I should have mine S4 by weeks end, identical to this sled above but mine has black tunnel. Did Bruce ever comment on the overall performance-- ride-- & handling.
he touched on it in the video. said it didnt feel like a 4 stroke. handled just like our 2 strokes just not as much power
my dealer had one as a demo, performance was on par with the 500 indy twin

It's great to see Polaris enter the 4 stroke market. Especially since we lost Yamy :( Do they have room in that Chassis to add a turbo in there to compete with 900R ?
Nice looking sled. It would be a good sled for a long trail cruiser.

If Poo would add a under hood rad and fan to help cool the sled when snowpack is hard, I would give up my BRP 900Ace for it. Also lots of room for a turbo in a few years!!

Lots of room in front for a turbo... I'd be really interested in this in a 137, with a competitive 4 stroke turbo design and dynamix active suspension brought from the SXS would to sleds

Props to polaris for this sled being available in any track length and shock package. Doo needs to learn from this!
Did not weigh It. Not sure what they weigh at all. I’d assume in line with the other 4 strokes on the market
@@JESSEJAMES322the s4 equipped sleds are a good 80-90lbs heavier than the skidoo 4 stroke equivalent. Pretty unbelievable but look it up. Its even heavier than yamahas.
what is the 100lb front spring numbers for a 21 vr1? i tried to put my buddies 2022 xcr front spring son but they are larger diameter than the vr1 front shocks.
yes the XCT shocks are a 2 inch body shock and the VR1 is a inch and 3/4 body. Give Southside a call. i do now have the number on hand

The S4 is a downgrade to the FST they used to have. I have a 2010 FST IQ touring and that thing is only a 750cc and is rated at 135hp and is one hell of a motor. Im sure if they turboed the S4 it would get up there and be a more fun unit. The only reason I am getting rid of my FST is because I ride alone 99% of the time and that beast is heavy as hell and with injuries if i get in a bind it is hard to get out of trouble by myself. If I could take that FST and put it in a smaller lighter sled I would. We will see how I like the 2018 Switchback 800 XCR I just picked up to replace it.
that is the problem with the 4 strokes. theyre heavy. some guys love them and some hate them. im sure there was a reason Polaris did it but i do not know that answer

Grest video. Its rather unfortunate polaris keeps slapping together these hap hazzard units. Theyre moving WAY to fast now adays, the recalls and issues with brand new units is simply un acceptable
they all have issues
