The best video on the Internet right now on the dynamic shocks, keep more videos coming on the dynamic shocks, I think it is the future. I really hope Polaris gives us a dynamic shock option next year on the XCR because that would be the ultimate trail sled.
Now with the updates to the Dynamix vr1 ( 2" shock body, HD torsion springs, heavier front track spring) it is alos closer to the xcr. Xcr does have the tipped up reinforced rail, heavier brake ect. I have a 23 xcr 850 and love it. I have been waiting for Dynamix for a few years. I would not hesitate to get a vr1 Dynamix, but I will give them another year( to get the buds out )
Is there an override - say if you want to run the sled with the shocks as normal or if the electronics fail - and what would happen if it did fail, does it go into full firm?
Interested to see how they stand up to places like The Tug. Also looking forward to seeing if you could put a 9R in it. Life the vids … keep them coming.
Great Video, i like to see the 9R in the VR1 with the DYNAMIX suspension....if you cant order one. would you be able to plop one in. would it fit? THANKS GUYS!
the 9R? yes it will fit. If you are going to do a crate motor 9R do an 850 because 99% of the things switch over. If you did a 650 then alot of components need to be changed. Where are you located? we have done 3 9R builds in the last two years if you look at previous videos
it does not adjust rebound. rebound is a standard valve stack as i understand. however guys that i trust that have ridden this said the sled is SO settled becaise of the live ride that the rebound feels great
@@JESSEJAMES322 Thanks for more clarification. My dealer told me the same information. I'm sure Poo will bring in the DV version of the Dynamix suspension in the next few years
Does this effectively eliminate the benefits of the XCR suspension over the VR1's? I mean the shocks in my 2024 XCR seem to be the real differentiator over our 2024 VR1 Boost.
well the XCR is still going to be more "heavy duty" as far as shocks and you'll be somewhat beholden to the suspension "tuning" options of this system, so if you don't like how any mode rides in given conditions you're SOL. Where as you can set your HI/LO clickers any way you want on your XCR. That said active shocks are pretty neat and have been used in performance cars for years
which is why we want to get on one and start the process of figuring out how to be able to tune Dynamix and get it to each riders preference. if we have that option this is the ultimate package
@@JESSEJAMES322,you need to reach out to Mike Carver @carver performance, also maybe call fox in Minnesota and talk to Randy Karpik. At the very least they might help get the process moving forward quickly. Guaranteed it will happen just a matter of when. Ski doo smart shox has a aftermarket tune already.
Ok I guess I'm stupid 😅. But shocks are reactive right? So my question is how can shocks adjust themselves unless it hits a bump first. Seems like it would have to know the bump is coming in order to adjust to it. 😅just my thoughts.
Really, that is the difference 🤔.I would put any faith in that. I am sure someone from the manufacturers could provide the tech on each. I wonder how significant the ctr shock is in the semi active system. If it IS significant, SKI-DOO would have included it. They don't short cut innovation. Plus they thoughly test it. ...something Polaris skipped the last few years.
Wish they’d update the EVO…. It’s a great concept but on a 15 year old chassis… not sure why you buy a new one… haven’t changed since 2018 debut and it’s on the near extinct pro ride chassis.
Your not going to tear that apart and improve it. This will be beyond being smarter than who made that. I had that xrs smart shocks were awesome, and this one will be even better.
Smart shox are more ( shock itself) sophisticated, they are a bypass shock and adjust rebound too. The range of adjustment is crazy. I'm scared to stroke one full stiff at 30 inches per second. I'm excited to see how both compare to each other. One think some might not like is it possibly will take some fun factor out of the sled.

thank you!! will have to do some digging and really get a good video together
Here to hear Bruce say the word “quarter”😂
that accent hahahaha
It’s pronounced quater around here
ABSOLUTE GAME CHANGER !! POLARIS again on the cutting Edge of Development. Going to be just 2 left in 2 years---POL & DOO.
very pumped about this!
Sounds like a pretty damn sweet setup. Amazing what is coming out on sleds now
could not agree more!
Love the contact I have a 22 assault would love to make some adjustments that you spoke of about the suspension. Slowing down rebound torsion spring
contact South Side sales and service in north adams mass and they can get you all set up
@JESSEJAMES322 ok looking forward working with them.
Any particular contacts at Southside sales and service?

Thanks Jesse, you always produce great videos. Quick question, what kind of hand gaurds and gauntlets are on the sled behind you?
Thank you and thanks for following along! they are Rox Speed FX hand Gaurds and their ASG Gauntlets
Is there an override - say if you want to run the sled with the shocks as normal or if the electronics fail - and what would happen if it did fail, does it go into full firm?
im sure if there is a fault they will default to some setting (not sure that answer) but as far as running them in manual mode that is not an option.

there are a few ways to look at that side of things but these should be the best option across all types of riders and riding

Bruce has already spoke to Randy. And Will from velocity is also working on this so well get it figured out!
How many times per second does this make changes to the suspension and what is going to wear out?
once we learn more we will do a full video on It. has like 3000 different position sensors or somethung crazy
Ok I guess I'm stupid 😅. But shocks are reactive right? So my question is how can shocks adjust themselves unless it hits a bump first. Seems like it would have to know the bump is coming in order to adjust to it. 😅just my thoughts.
Correct, unless you switch it manually.
Happens in milliseconds, big difference on a doo and I'm sure just as good or better on a poo
Not just bumps, cornering, braking, acceleration. If trail gets rough, it will stiffen up. Works great in the side by sides
Do you think the dynamics gyro(system) is going to be durable enough for sno-cross and racing the irondog, soo 500 races?
i cannot say right now. i have no time on it etc. but time will tell.
How does this differ from the special edition Mach Z that skidoo had a couple years ago? Just that Polaris has all of the shocks on the controller?
yes and the inner workings of the system are different. This is based on a gyro etc (super techy stuff) and skidoos was just a standard based system.

um sure there will be an additioanl cost
Dynamix was great in the Polaris RZR, so it should do great in the snowmobile.
everyone has said that so im sure itll be great here too!
Good information… thanks. Do you know if Polaris killed off the EVO?
i believe they took a year off of them and the XC
Not dead, but so much stock out there they aren't producing any for MY 25 is the word.

that is the question!!!
Is bruce going to be able to play with the shocks? Seems like a look but no touch situation!
we will see! but our goal is to be able to at some point
If they perform anything like in the RZRs, RMotion is now yesterday's news.
Rmotion is also improved with smart shox. In the majority of cases, you can't beat a computer changing your shocks vs someone revalving them.
everyone is saying the RZR's with this system were amazing so well see
