    I’ve owned three of those and driven 3 others. My choice is my current bike, a BMW K1600b! An absolute bad ass bike that wheelies at 50mph and is as comfortable as your Lazyboy recliner!

    Horizontally opposed engines don't give me the leg room. My Royal Star Tour Deluxe is perfect. Big floorboards that I can stretch out my legs.

    That bmw is beautiful and I bet my bottom dollar they are not trying to fleece you out of an extra 350 dollars like Harley to use their infotainment system.

    The BMW R18 TransContinental was the most uncomfortable bike I’ve ever ridden. It’s beautiful, and the fit and finish is stunning, but it’s rubbish for leg room comfort.

    By the way, the BMW R 18 Transcontinental has a wet weight of 427 kg. Not 203 kg.

    The opposed cylinder format of the BMW and Honda Gold Wing engines do not allow for a feet forward riding position like the V-Twins do. I could always find a comfortable position and change posture on my Harleys and Indian and could do "Iron-Bottom" runs on those bikes. Not so on my Gold Wing; was lucky to go more that n two hours in the saddle without a LONG break in between sessions.
    The "Sport-Touring" designs made me feel like a monkey f- - cking a football; couldn't do that for long!

    How can BMW be comfortable if you can’t stretch your legs to the front?

  • @aussiebodie
    @aussiebodie 5 месяцев назад

    Im tall....and hate the BMW engine. Restricts forward controls. My knees cant handle that straight up and down riding positions. The Goldwing... feels like a vespa...boring as batsh!t. Actually a vespa is probably more fun. Cant hear it idling with your lid on... like the idea of reverse though... but give me a roaring Vtwin and forward controls everyday of the week.

    They look great, but way over 800 pounds ...? and up to $45000 dollars...?. I rater get a convertible get the air in my face, I'll go safer, My girl or I could use those giant info systems and push all them buttons. I ride for over three decades, motorcycles supposed to be a practical and economical way to commute and have fun. LESS is MORE ladies and gentlemen.

    I wouldn't waist $5,000 on a Harley Davidson, the Honda gold wing is the best motorcycle ever built in the history of motorcycle building and the boxer 6 is the best engine Honda ever built. The Honda motor company are the kings of motorcycle and car engines. Harley Davidson ain't even worth its own weight.

      @Johnclark300 20 дней назад

      @TraveladvRajanSRai I don't give two fucks about that, I will only buy a quality made machine that actually had the best mathematics put into it which make the best engineered product, Honda actually cares about the customer base, Harley Davidson just throws their bikes together and says good luck and goodbye. Not to mention your Harley has alot of Chinese made parts on it, my Honda gold wing made in 86 is 100% Japanese quality. Built to last for decades.
