I thought for a while that it was going to be waves in the ocean and the sandy beach. I really love your technique. Thanks for sharing.

You should keep going with that mauve pinkish color. It will look good when you're done. You can also use storage or freezer bags as piping bags. And thank you for showing your mistakes

Maybe I should add more layers, the rest of the canvas looks a bit bare 🤔 you've got me thinking about giving it another chance 😂 freezer sandwich bags of course!!! You genius!! Thank you for watching 💛

Hello, As an experienced painter, I have to tell you that the reason your first piece looks splotchy is because the paint is not opaque. You can make the color of pink you prefer AND make it opaque by using a darker pink and mixing white in it until you get the desired shade. (Or a shade of red you like with white in it) The white will ensure that it is opaque. Also, you can re-paint the original piece into some colors you like. The size of the canvas does not matter as far as how the colors turn out. Otherwise, I like what you are trying to do. Good luck.

@karimacintyre8306 I was going to say similar as the other comment. I work with Spakle paste a lot in my art also & instead of adding glue you can just add small amounts of water at a time & mix, or just add the acrylic paint color you want your piece to be right to the spackle & mix to smooth it & make creamier, I do this often as well & have no isdues with it. That also lets you add as little or as much color as you want. That 1st piece you did would look really nice as a beach type scene, with the "spackle" part painted white with outlines of a gold or sandy color & the rest of the canvas in shades of blue or blue/green to make it look like the ocean waves & the white "sandy" color spackled area will appear as the foamy look of waves as they wash ashore onto the sand. (Hope that made sense lol), but that was the very 1st thing that popped into my mind when you showed it saying you didn't like it or know what to do with it. There are lots of ways to save artwork that didn't turn out as planned or as we hoped, so definitely don't let it discourage you from using larger canvases !! You are doing great. I also have a very hard time drawing ANYTHING also lol so I buy Stencils of different things I wish I could draw & use them to outline what I want to draw & then go over the outline with my piping bag of spackle & it works grea. Just an idea !! Good luck & happy creating !! 😊😊😊
