Here's a better life hack, memorize additions leading up to 20 and squares and cubes, it makes simple calculation alot easier 156+75 will be 150 + 70 = 220 which is basically 15+7 but one order higher 6+5 = 11 U get 11 + 220 = 231 Or add 5 from 156 then add the remaining 70. Point is remember additions leading to 20 and you're good.

There’s actually an easy way I do it
So I would do
15-8 what’s 8-5 it’s 3
You take that 3 and save it for later
Since you already subtracted 5 you now have ten and 3 is what’s left of the 8 so you subtract 10-3 and you get your answer which is 7
15-8 count 8 going up to 15 on your fingers and count how many fingers that clenched up and you'll see da answer
It is an equation tho.
15 - 8 = x
15-8 is an expression, 15-8=? is an equation.

So this is how i do it:

------ So we can't do 5 - 8 so we will borrow the tens (the one) from the other column and the five becomes 15 so we can do 15 - 8 so that will be 7. Then, we put seven in the ones
and the 1 (from the tens) become 0. So that's your answer😊

The Pythagorean theorem:
If one leg is 4 and the other is 3 what's the hypotenuse?
So, if 4 is A square 4 is 16, and 3 is b square and 3 equals 9, because 3 × 3 = 9 and 4 × 4 = 16.
So do "16 + 9" and that's 25, and find the square root of 25, which is 5, and that's c square, so..
A square + b square = 5
