I was at Vardas when you were doing this job! It was for the TV show - Geordie Shore, I met some of the cast and they were actually really nice people. Can’t believe I stumbled upon your channel, subscribed :)
I remember the first time I used a carnet through customs. I flew from Cyprus to Mexico for work and I carried an equipment. I was really nervous not to make any mistakes. Also, the customs in Mexico city airport were strange
Interesting you noticed all the sleeper cabs, pre Brexit Cyprus truck importers because we drive on the right the same as UK bought very high mileage UK trucks used for trans continental work before, basically they were run into the ground, so they bought them dirt cheap. The miles the trucks run in Cyprus as you say are so small doesn't matter to the owners here in Cyprus. Odd you did not notice how old the skeletal container trailers were, most still 1970 imports. Even the curtainsiders are so old the more modern trucks cannot pull them, so they disconnect all the trailer safety from the tractor units so they can pull them. Cyprus the home of the bodge and who cares, not the EU or anyone else, great place to live, if you like a bit more freedom. Motorcycles are great, no mot's well they are introducing them, a no chase policy, although that may change, but that highway you drove down, I would ride my GPz1000rr flat out at 140mph from Limassol to Paphos without any bother from the cops. Great place for Bikers, best kept secret in the world, and the roads in the mountains, brother you have to ride them on something around 400cc, and the dirt roads so many and I used a kawasaki KDX 250 I can ride from Limassol to Paphos all on dirt roads. come try it for yourself one day and shoot a video of all of them.
There was an Englishman, a Ukrainian and a Hungarian on a boat from Cyprus ................................now there must be a gag there somewhere..............!!!! Yet another set of fantastic vlogs of your trip to Cyprus and the wonderful Custom's Hut. My trip to Cyprus was a lot easier and it mainly consisted of watching Paphos sunsets and Mojitos...! Keep the vlogs coming, they are by far the best, which are complimented by your wonderful dry humor 🙂
Hi there, once again, a very informative video Takes me back to the 70s, when we used to run from the UK to Greece liar Yugoslavia to catch the ferry from Parus to the Isle of roads with provisions for NATO unload and reload would take about a week. The customs and paperwork obviously hasn’t changed. Great videos stay safe. regards, Dicky
Very fancy editing and camera angles in this one DTW, nicely done. 👌 Is it a coincidence that you've edited a past video to go up almost exactly a year later or are you just that forward thinking and clever to plan it that way? 😁 Just like a lot of people, I find this sector of the industry truly fascinating so thanks for bringing us along for the ride. 👍 By the way, the truck and trailer look very smart and I love the way there is hook places everywhere on the inside of that trailer. 😀 As for you getting hooked up on that second reverse, could tyre pressures and temperature have played a part in that? With you doing the maneuver with stone cold tyres which would mean lower pressures and a lower ride height on the unit and trailer? - Scott
No I’ve been a year behind pretty much the whole time and have never caught so far. Now the motorcycle ones are out the way I hope to finally catch up. The Krone trailers are like that but all the others just have few rails down each side. No idea why I got caught up, I doubt it was temps as the truck did the same 1 mile journey from cold each time.
now the long drag home well done young man yes i know its a pain but when i went on them ferries i could not fir on the lifts so had to be on the bottom decks both ways as i had a kenworth W990 with big sleeper berth
Seem that they like sending you to desolate places in the back of beyond. Got to take my hat off to you though. Getting that Pantech of your round seemingly impossible roads is an eye opener. You guys are truly amazing. Changed my view point to lorry drivers when l was a Marshall at the lorry driver of the year awards at Goodwood. The tests that were set were very interesting . Especially what was required driving round Chichester. ..customs is a nightmare on Cyprus why. It's obvious they have not a clue. We'll it shows when filling in basic paperwork. You must be glad to get out of there. Video content just gets better every time. To see where you are and what's going on even if it is in the back of beyond. Should write up all these bits of your journeys . Then when you have time write them up . Would make a fascinating book to read. Trials and tribulations of the wanderingmuzung.worth a thought don't think any lorry driver has written a book . Here's to the next video
No need to jazz up the truth. The people who follow you like l do will tell you that. An honest journey of a trucker through highs and lows. The places you go to the sights you see. The people you meet along the way. They say that every person has at least one good book in them. My life has been to boring but yours. I've watched your videos and enjoyed every one of them. I could not do what you do although as a teenager l did think about TIR driving. But it takes a certain person with the right mind set to do what you do. Go back and watch your vids there is a story there. An on going journey of one man a truck and the road. Being 72 l guess l won't be around to read it. But your many fans and others will. Think about it you could do this.
How much does a company charge for a job like this? Hotels, Ferries, Drivers wage, fuel etc... it must be very very important cargo for it to be driven the whole way lol Would love to give this type of trip a go sometime.
Love Rat", a four-episode drama series, will be broadcast on Britain's Channel 5, owned by Paramount Global. This production has been approved by the Cyprus Film Commission and it promotes the touristic features of our country, particularly Ayia Napa and Protaras

Looking at your adventures in places like Monaco but also reversing on Cyprus, wouldn't it be handy to have a camera on the back of the trailer?
That requires time and a good mounting place to put one and money to buy another camera.
Many thanks

I’m pretty sure their are books out there somewhere. I’d need a ghost writer to jazz it up a bit as I couldn’t make it engaging enough.

All that faff of reversing. Still the Waitrose at Bath, which you called "The Venus Fly Trap" I think is still top of ultimate faff, imo.
Now that is an old video.
Fascinating!!

Tv and film have big budgets.
Mmm a villa Production must be for Love Island 😁
That’s usually Ibiza isn’t it? This is Geordie shore.
Why do they take your passport, only happened to me once on a crossing from immingham to Brevik Norway
No idea. Probably a legal/security thing to stop people jumping ship without authorisation.
What an adventure so much hassle is it really worth it ???
If someone’s paying for it then yes.
Anyone know what he’s transporting and for what event?
Tv gear for Geordie shore. It aired in January.
03:25 people on that vessel!
what are you7 hauling
Stuff for Geordie shore.
With not a lot of British things being filmed on Cyprus it wasn't too difficult to work what TV show it was
What is it?
Another brilliant video by the way

No I wait until broadcast before I edit vids like this. It was Geordie shore that aired in January.
I year later...lol
