It’s no exaggeration to say that Berserk has changed my life. It is a once in a lifetime experience and I’m happy you view the first volume with such high quality, it really only improves from there in terms of almost everything. Not to say the first arc was bad, but only because the further context you get into Guts and the world even the first Arc becomes more amazing to experience on rereading it. What you’re entering is an excellent yet extremely tragic experience. With some of the most complex characters I’ve ever read.
5:07 Most people say that because of his scene with the demon in the beginning (the one hes doing) because its a big contrast to his character later on. But that's because the series was just starting and I guess the author couldn't pinpoint his character until later on, but I'd say its still the same character. Besides all of that, berserk is one hell of a read and I hope you enjoy!
Awesome, dude! I think I'm going to take my bonus from work, next week, and possibly grab some more volumes of this. I borrowed a lot of books from the library, today, though, so it might be a bit before I get to Berserk more.
@@mrwildboyhorrorbooks The Author Miura starting developing Guts in his late 20s but the concept was in his mind from his high school days. Berserk was his brain-child. His passion for the story does not let up even into the later volumes. Consistency is his speciality...especially with detail and pacing. Enjoy. I very much doubt you will be disappointed 👍
@@mediatorofsouls8695 That's awesome, man. I can't wait to see what else he does with these books, as I work through them. I see so much potential in this first volume.
Lets see how long he can keep up smiling the entire video. xD It's always so funny to see people who are in the Black Swordsman arc atm. @MrWildboy a good advice from a man to man: "prepare some booze" to drown any possible unwanted feelings ;)
26th November 1990, The Original Japanese Vol 1. English Publication: 22nd October 2003 Vol 1. Berserk. 2003 English publication begins. Puts myself at age 3. Original publication in Japanese : Everything before Vol 19 of the Conviction Arc pre-dates my existence. I am as of 2024. 24. This series is not 'recently' anything. It is a rich tapestry of manga. History is within its lifeblood. R.I.P Kentaro Miura 😔
Can't wait to try and check out the rest of them hahah. I went to the library to look for them, yesterday, and apparently all they offer is the ebook version. Guess I'll be hitting-up used bookstores lol.
Hell yeah, dude! I just ordered volumes 2 and 3 from the library, so I can't wait to check those out. In case you didn't know, I just reviewed Volume 1 on this channel.
