This guy is one of the best entertainers of all time I've seen him live and he is awesome he owns the stage and was born to be on it his mum and dad are brilliant too
John is one of the best entertainers ever, his voice is absolutely beautiful and I could listen to him sing all day long. Absolutely love when he sang with Scott. Love his music xx
I've heard this song all my life. When I was younger, my mom would play this in the car as we went to visit my grandmother, who passed on about seven years ago. So this song has huge memories. John certainly did it justice!
I've been walkin' these streets so long Singin' the same old song I know every crack in these dirty sidewalks of Broadway Where hustle's the name of the game And nice guys get washed away like the snow and the rain There's been a load of compromisin' On the road to my horizon But I'm gonna be where the lights are shinin' on me Like a rhinestone cowboy Riding out on a horse in a star-spangled rodeo Like a rhinestone cowboy Getting cards and letters from people I don't even know And offers comin' over the phone Well, I really don't mind the rain And a smile can hide all the pain But you're down when you're ridin' the train that's takin' the long way And I dream of the things I'll do With a subway token and a dollar tucked inside my shoe There'll be a load of compromisin' On the road to my horizon But I'm gonna be where the lights are shinin' on me Like a rhinestone cowboy Riding out on a horse in a star-spangled rodeo Rhinestone cowboy Gettin' cards and letters from people I don't even know And offers comin' over the phone Like a rhinestone cowboy Riding out on a horse in a star-spangled rodeo Like a rhinestone cowboy Gettin' card and letters from people I don't even know Like a rhinestone cowboy Riding out on a horse in a star-spangled rodeo
No he isnt the original singer of the song - "Rhinestone Cowboy" is a song written by Larry Weiss and most famously recorded by American country music singer Glen Campbell.
Great voice and well done, but a little too "Broadway" for this song. It is a country song after all. He could have used a little country accent in this, but look what Whitney did to Dolly's song. Nice but too much like the original, he didn't do anything here. EXCEPT say, "I am gay, this is for my boyfriend, and I can sing." Get over it John.
+rockshot100 He just stated it was for Scott - he also sings songs for his parents and long dead dogs - it's the format of the show.. If he wasn't gay it'd be for the girlfriend.

Multi-talented, multi-dimensional, so inspiring.

I've heard this song all my life. When I was younger, my mom would play this in the car as we went to visit my grandmother, who passed on about seven years ago. So this song has huge memories. John certainly did it justice!

So cute funny amazing just perfect
I've been walkin' these streets so long
Singin' the same old song
I know every crack in these dirty sidewalks of Broadway
Where hustle's the name of the game
And nice guys get washed away like the snow and the rain
There's been a load of compromisin'
On the road to my horizon
But I'm gonna be where the lights are shinin' on me
Like a rhinestone cowboy
Riding out on a horse in a star-spangled rodeo
Like a rhinestone cowboy
Getting cards and letters from people I don't even know
And offers comin' over the phone
Well, I really don't mind the rain
And a smile can hide all the pain
But you're down when you're ridin' the train that's takin' the long way
And I dream of the things I'll do
With a subway token and a dollar tucked inside my shoe
There'll be a load of compromisin'
On the road to my horizon
But I'm gonna be where the lights are shinin' on me
Like a rhinestone cowboy
Riding out on a horse in a star-spangled rodeo
Rhinestone cowboy
Gettin' cards and letters from people I don't even know
And offers comin' over the phone
Like a rhinestone cowboy
Riding out on a horse in a star-spangled rodeo
Like a rhinestone cowboy
Gettin' card and letters from people I don't even know
Like a rhinestone cowboy
Riding out on a horse in a star-spangled rodeo
Gotta admit, like it better when Scott sings it :)
He looks like Tom Cruise!😮
I wish John and Scott were my next door neighbors.
Cowboys, Cowboys, Cowboys, Cowboys.
Very Arrousing 🫠😘
Am I the only one to hear him say 'a dalek tucked inside my shoe' or am I just in a DW mindset?
It's meant to be a Dollar tucked inside my shoe, but you hear it the way you want lol!, 🤣🤣
yep said Dalek
I didn’t until I read your comment and listened to it again and now all I can hear is Dalek 😂😂
Yes
I have just released I've memorized the beginning story. I think i need to stop watching this video
WONDERFUL PA ALL REVERB.,ANYONE COULD SING WITH THAT.
Promising
No he isnt the original singer of the song - "Rhinestone Cowboy" is a song written by Larry Weiss and most famously recorded by American country music singer Glen Campbell.
I look like both, but better looking 😉
🏴🥰xxx
Captain Jack is scottish?
Yes hes Scottish
Yes, he is Scottish. So is David Tennant. I love both of them & their sexy scottish accents.
ngaire curran Yep, born in Glasgow, lived in the US since he was a kid. Both his parents still have very strong burrs.
yes
Hi millie 😁
You Aer good
just as good as the Chris LeDoux version!
scott would... read his book
arrroww:-D
Beginning of the song 1:48
Night sleep well done ✅ bed time 22.00
Is this the show tunes version of Glen Campbell?
is he the original singer of this song? or did he just start singing this < I don t know who this guys is
Glenn Campbell
A handsome gay guy
DALLAS COWBOYS...
What's that walk he does at 3:40?
So Scott had packed chaps & hotpants?
Maybe they were Johns . Who knows
ya.ya..he is the arrow bad guy..thea's father.
Thames Onnly haha exactly what I was thinking lol
I like John Barrowman - I really do, BUT I wish he would settle on an accent!!! Is it Scottish or American????
He is Scottish but lives in America. Hes a glasweigen
both, born in scotland, raised in america and people CAN switch between accents
Imitating Glen Campbell very well.
He's no Glen Campbell.
But still great! :)
Scots do say ehm instead of um.
Hi Millie xxxxx Finley Etta Martha ok yes please grandma ok yes please
Hi Millie xxxxx happy to you're welcome back home 🏡
lol
Sings well. But very much shown on stage, and without the slightest need. It takes away the beauty of the music.
He's a good entertainer, but my friend Glenn Campell (R.I.P.) nailed this one. John's missin' the Western "Twang" Good try though.
Prefer the Glenn Campell version more country than this over the top version good voice though.
Funny how he loses his accent when he sings American songs.
It's not cowboy sounding at all.
If he wasn't gay it'd be for the girlfriend.
ok
this song ain't bad for a gay like JB
The worst Ham I have ever seen.. a weak Karoke act at best!
Leviticus 18:22
Terrible
Dakota Griggs Bye Felecia!!! He is better than a lot of singers these days!!
+Kaitlyn Pelland that's kind of the point I'm trying to make. The singers these days are terrible. I meant compared to glen campbell
Fucking hell barrowman ruins another classic,
