The Magic Keyboard with iPad attached is just as heavy if not heavier than my Macbook Pro. If I'm going to use something that heavy, I may as well just use the Macbook. This is another reason why I prefer the Smart Folio keyboard.
I agree with your review. I just got the Smart Folio with my new iPad Air. The only thing is I wish it had was backlighting. That would be perfect.

Elena Jo its a love or hate keyboard, if you watch some reviews, many ppl hate the fabric keys, So I never ordered one for me but yesterday I found one in display and to me it was a quite lovely typing experience
I just upgraded and got the new iPad Pro 11 with the Smart Folio Keyboard and I love it and feel that its just enough for me.
trish brooks Me too! I was in love with the idea of the Magic Keyboard after hearing the Smart Keyboard reviews, but after getting the Smart Keyboard I lost all interest in the Magic! It’s sturdy lightweightness and ability to attach it to the back of the iPad magnetically is irreplaceable.
Is it battery consuming?.
@@rasheem8544 2 years late, no, if there is battery consumption it's not much, not as much as the Magic Keyboard which cuts down your iPad's battery life marginally. You should be fine with the Smart Folio Keyboard

I have the magic keyboard but I also ordered the Smart Keyboard folio to help replace and fix the issues that I’m having with the magic keyboard.
This WAS the best keyboard. Like everything good at Apple Tim Cook killed it!

can the iPad be used vertically using the magnet on the Smart Keyboard folio, just to use it as vertical mount in certain situations?
I agree with you. The Folio is better than the magic keyboard. Who wants to remove the iPad from the case every time you want to use it as a tablet? That’s dumb. Might as well buy a laptop. They should have worked on improving the keys on the folio instead of that new keyboard.

I returned the Magic KB and kept the Smart Folio but added a Apple trackpad. Together it is better than the Magic Keyboard.

My advice is to try both out- i have large hands and struggle to type on the regular Smart Keyboard folio- my WPM on my 16” MacBook is 79 on the smaller 11” smart folio its only 49-55. Bit annoying as it means i type a lot slower than i think, plus the space bar is hard to press in comparison to the rest of the keys

I liked it a lot. And it bends backwards.
I had the magic keyboard on order then cancelled it. After watching a ton of reviews and decided that I would stick with my magic keyboard and order the Magic Trackpad to use along side of it. Glad I did..great combo!

If i wanted to use the magic keyboard, I'd definitely use the MacBook instead. Smart Folio is definitely the way to go

Yes the new one made for all the new iPads but especially designed for the 2020 ones have it in the back other than the older design.
Hows the durability of this ??? I mean how does it stand after 1 or 2 years of usage
For long term use, you don’t have to worry about it being broken, but you should expect some dents, scratches(maybe) or the frabic will come off on the keyboard. It could feel quite broken, but it’s definitely still usable

3 dislikes lol the apple sheeps can't take it. Let's face it, the whole design of the new 'case' is flawed. More expensive, harder to open, heavier/ thicker to carry plus the little awkward charging tube that sort of destroyed the aesthetic, not as functional as the old one since you can't fold it all the way back and use it as a tablet. Just very gimmicky in general. The only good things are the small trackpad which the apple pencil and you damn fingers can totally replace and better feeling of the keyboard. Well feeling good is all they care about anyway. They don't really care about the actual functionality. They just want brand new everything that's why you see people actually recommend the new iPad pro instead of the 2018 one.😂 I bet those people watch MSM as their new source. The puppets population.
