I guess it was just track evolution. Whoever that had gone at very last would've gained the most time Even Max had gained a tenth or two if didn't had a snap in T4. Lewis also had one. Russell being the last of all gained the most out of them
@@Yara-d9v6b How he is slower in straights? He's slower in very high speed corners where downforce is just drag him back... downforce is proportional to the square of speed (V^^2 and)... He just has advantage on medium speed corners... The high speed corner that Russel is faster, he is going full throttle, he has enough downforce there... and Lewis has too much downforce there...
LH loses time to GR on straights and fast corners. I don't know why he didn’t apply more throttle in T13. I can only assume a lack of trust in the car. My conclusion is GR’s car is faster. Even when you look at the start of their laps, GR gains an advantage in a straight line, which LH erased in T3, but he makes a mistake in T4. Freezing the frame you can tell LH typically has an entry speed advantage, but GR has an exit speed advantage and accelerates much faster than LH. Not sure if this is solely due to a driving style difference because I didn’t see any breaking mid-corner from either driver.
On Hamiltons first Q3 run he understeers quite a bit through T13 and actually has to back out of the throttle slightly after the apex. I think on this lap he was more conservative through T13 so he didn't repeat the mistake.

Legend RUSELL
Fair play 👏🏾
It looks Hamilton has a little bit more down-force than Russel... it will be better for race... easier tire management...
How does he have more downforce yet he is still slower in the corners that downforce matters?

where ferrari has lost time and ended up being so slow?
