Inspired mainly by the writing back and forth between Akeley and the protagonist. Though written letters are anything but dramatic, the way in which this writing back and forth was done makes for a really creepy read. The calming yet unsettling nature of these letters is what I've tried to reflect in this piece of relaxing horror music. Hoping to be both calming, yet haunting like an itch that something is wrong, though subtle.
In order to do this the track uses some horror sfx, synths, piano, haunting choir and twisted violin and viola melodies, as well as a synth instrument created specifically for this suite.
Can be used for reading the amazing Lovecraft stories, but also as relaxing horror game music for example. I've taken inspiration from soundtracks like Silent Hill, Yume Nikki, Spooky's Jumpscare Mansion, Lost in Vivo, Eternal Darkness, Uktena 64, containment breach and many more horror games and their composers like Akira Yamaoka, Akuma Kira, Jarren Crist

There is something about dark stories that appeals to us. Noises heard in a house once home to a murdered family. Tales of a mysterious creature spotted in the night. A mind haunted by voices coming from seemingly nowhere. These songs are the soundtrack to those type of stories. Inspired by the enigma's found in horrorfilms and thrillers.
