Had my woodmizer lx25 for 2 years now and its awsome and woodmizer helped me with any questions i had when i called. I built a cabin wood shed and a small barn with it the ONLY problem i had it took almost a year to get it
Good video… I’m having the same problem now. A good friend came over Saturday and was helping me to make sure everything was set up right he turned the motor up slightly and set cable. Was running like a sewing machine but then the handle was slipping like yours. Cuts great boards but that handle system is a joke. Now back to calling woodmizer… Thanks for video… God bless…
Ive had the lx25 for over 18 months and have milled literally 200 plus logs with only issue being sawdust clogging being cured by removing 1 tooth out of chute. As far as clutch issue once lock engaged i could stand on crank with no movement. It has been worth every dollar i spent on it!
good video sorry you got hurt. i had some thing years ago that had a clutch set up like that it would freeze up or would not tighten up i got rid of it. i got my belts at auto advance you may can take your old belt get next size longer. i wish you luck take care, be safe and well.
Ive ran one for 3 years now never had an issue with the clutch biggest issue i see you are going to have is letting it out in the weather u have to keep equipment inside if u want any kind of service out of it
I just started sawing with my new lx25. I haven't had any of the problems your having. I notice your head height handle shows some corrosion on the internal parts, probably best to keep that area dry. Maybe your clutch is slipping from the rust on those parts. I am also able to move my 9.5 HP engine fully left and right for drive pulley adjustment. Have you substituted a different engine than what came with kit? When I call or e-mail Wood Mizer they are more than helpful, I have no complaints.
Good for you Kevin for making the video, I believe the LX25 is thier smaller model, but for the price it should work well, without any re engineering, your obviously going to have to re engineer as you go, it`s to bad you couldn`t drill a series of holes in that clutch and washer, and just use a pin system to hold it in place, kind of how a Santa Maria Grill works, the handle raises and lowers the grill, and you put the pin in to the backing plate with the same series of holes to hold it at the height you want, hey but welding the vice grips is a much easier solution, it`s a shame what you get for your dollar today.
Hi Kevin I can’t figure out how you’re having issues with Wood Mizer service department they probably are the best service department I’ve ever experienced they got right back to me and bent over backwards to make everything right. And they’re very nice people.
@@Robinson-Homestead Did you buy this new from WM? Did you register with WM. I have a 1988 LT-40 and I have never had any problems getting help and support, even on this old machine. Call them, don't email. If you register it will give you a customer sign-on and a direct link to the correct parts and supplies for your exact machine.
I got the same sawmill ,i have had it a year, so far,no troubles at all, my boards average about less than one sixteenth difference in a 16 foot log, my only trouble was cutting a 40 inch in diameter poplar log 22 foot long on a mill that cuts 28 diameter logs, but i got it cut 😅
Geez, to spend that much $$ on a saw and have all those issues. I really wanted to get a Wood Mizer because it’s made in the US, but now I’m thinking twice.
Good grief man, I believe a Harbor Freight sawmill has less issues. You know you're gonna fix a few things on a HF, but you are completely re-designing that Woodmizer. That is a poorly designed piece of equipment.

Thanks for the video Kevin, hopefully it saves some other folks the grief. I hope your arm is okay, be well my friend.

Most of my problems were during the covid they wouldn't even answer the phone.
Good video
Thank you Nancy.
Did you discuss all these problems as they came up with WM? What were their solutions? Did you try them first?
I went to customer service on their website no one never contacted me back did that quite a few times.

Did you ever oil the clutch, hub, or cable? I know oil will ruin the clutch

I got most bugs worked out finally so now i enjoy using it unlike before when i had to work on it for hours before i could even use it.

I really don't think all wood Miser cells are like this one.

I'm not so sure they're all like this but I will never buy another wood-mizer saw.
