I have the same model. Yes, it is underpowered with the 9.5 h.p. motor I can't imagine what the 7.5 motor would be like. It is a "hobby" mill. I keep that in mind, so does it cut boards? Yes! Would it be the saw of choice for someone trying to make money with it? I don't think so. I wish the blades stayed sharp longer. Maybe it is just me.
Great video! I am Looking at buying a lx25, my problem is that my pocket book, can only afford this model, lol and I have a bunch of poplar logs that are 40,to 42 inches across the end of the log, they are 25foot long, I guess I will have to split em in half ,when I get this mill
Mine cuts good but always make sure your blade is sharp. I cut some old oak that was on the ground for 23 years and hard as a rock but it cut 2 good boards out. White oak and water oak is all I have cut so far but I have a 10 foot red I’m gonna cut soon. Should cut it good. I finally changed my blade. I was cutting pine and got some wave in the boards change blade and cleared up. If you get one take your time and don’t force the saw. Mix 1 tablespoon of dish washing soap and a tablespoon of chainsaw oil to a gallon of water and that will help save your blade. Hope this helps.
You’ve got a great helper there!
Thank you he loves outdoors. God bless thanks for watching.

You are so right…it needs 14hp or better….A pine log will slow cut on this…also hardwood…thanks for watching.
It’s not just you…You really have to keep it cleaned out also. I have an ego blower to clean it with.
