The tip at 4:02 was great. I have seen so many videos on obsidian but they never told about this way of linking. I am so glad I found your video. God bless you❤
Thank you so much for explaining the pipe tip to change the appearance of a link. I've been scratchin my head around this for days and it stopped me from importing my old notes because I knew I had a problem in my linking, and didn't want to have to go through my thousands of notes one by one once I'd found the solution. You are a life saver.
I have downloaded Obsidian and am enjoying learning what it is capable of. Thank you for these short and sharp tutorials demonstrating important features. Much appreciated. Cheers 👍😎🇦🇺
Obsidian is great! Backlinking is absolutely stunning and helpful. happy to see you working on Obsidian. Now I only hope you'll start using confluence and share your wisdom with us :D thank you for a great video, as usual.
Thanks A J. The more I use Obsidian, the more I appreciate its features. As for Confluence, since my organization/team doesn't use it, I don't see myself using it in the near future...
@@AndyPark365 afaik Atlassian offers a free solution for Confluence as well. The possibilities are almost endless and while i am happy (read: in love with macros) with Confluence, I think the structuring of information to become knowledge can be applied to OneNote and or Obsidian, too. I had to change over to Confluence regarding it is used company wide (43k+ employees) with high departemental connectivity; but if i could have used Obsidian; i would. i loved the table view with (pre-made) dates for the entire year = calendar and then simply clicking on the day i needed or wanted and bääm - an entire year-in-calendar slowly building up. sorry. geeking out a bit too much. greetings from Austria, A
Andy--thanks so much for explaining an idea I've been struggling with. I had assumed links were a straightforward concept, but apparently not straightforward enough for me. Your patient and methodical presentation style was a gift to me; I look forward to seeing your other vid's.
Thanks, I'm a newbie and this answered both my biggest questions so far, namely what backlinks are and how to make a link when the text you want to link from is a bit different from the note/concept you want to link to (e.g. linking the word 'German' to the note 'Germany') 👍🏼
Thanks Andy for sharing. I actually just downloaded Obsidian for my iPad and just started playing with it. I’ll be interested in additional videos on the application.
Hello, Thanks a lot for the fantastic tutorial. However, I still have a question about linking. Imagine I have a note named XYZ, and I refer to this note [[XYZ]] in ten different notes. When I go to the XYZ note itself I want to see all the other ten notes in which [[XYZ]] was referred. Is this possible?. Thanks in advance.
Any idea how to end a link (]]) without having to hit my right arrow key first? I want to create a link and then start a new line without going hands off keyboard'
mmm.. I dont really use obsidian but I kind of thinking to start.. but am just wondering how you can remeber that 3 months before you made a page about a particular lady? Or more generally, in order to make meaningfull links, you need to remeber basically everything that was already written and can be linked to. Or maybe i am missing something...
finally someone who shows how to link stuff! thank you so much

Can I make the word Royal Family link to a note that is titled Royal Families? It's just creating a whole new note, which I don't want it to do.
Thank you
Great.
