Thanks Matt for all the Blue October requests, I love seeing them react to their music. Ryan is the multi instrumentalist, they had guest violinist and cellist during this concert for their DVD making.
I love this song. It is very dark. His first wife actually used it against him in his custody battle for his daughter. Luckily Justin got full custody about 4 years ago. He is in such a better place and their music is still great.
Had the privilege of being at this show. The cellist was just for this night when they recorded for the live album/DVD. I've seen them live about 7 times and haven't seen a cellist since, sadly (this is also the only time I've seen them perform this song live--he doesn't do it much anymore).
Thanks Matt. I’ve been waiting for someone to react to this dark, dark song. So many great Blue October songs that get overlooked on reaction channels eg Any Man in America, Dirt Room and Colors Collide on the darker side and Sway, 18th Floor Balcony and a Worry List in the softer side. No matter the emotion, Justin makes you know he is feeling it as he sings it.
I LOOOOVE the Blue October rabbit hole yall are going down...from someone who has seen this band live multiple times, listening to them for over 16 years and the fact this band saved my life and helped me through my crippling depression........please keep sharing their music and please keep doing reactions to them!! THANK YALL . HAPPY HOLIDAYS
Pretty sure this is the first reaction video I’ve seen to this song!!! Awesome. Definitely a hidden gem this one is. And there is only one violinist to pay attention to. And that’s Mr. Delahoussaye!!! He’s flipping amazing
This is a song I absolutely love but do look around to see who can see me listening 🤣 such an intense songs. A bit of trivia: his ex wife sadly used this song in court against him during their custody battle.
Such a dark, beautiful song. Too many people out there can relate too closely,... I can only imagine how tough it is, stay strong out there all good folks
I first heard this song when I saw my wife cheat on me. On my drive back to Cali. I can't remember how many times I listened to it combined with John legend's all of me. Over and over. I never wanted to hurt her, I never stopped loving her either. 11 years later. But this song helped me just let the anger out on that long drive. Listen to citizen soldier. I'd love a reaction
Holy 💩💩💩 first time I have heard this one. He just blew my mind. He is such a great lyricist 😮 Not the sound but the content and being able to share such dark thoughts reminds me of Eminem. Wow!!!❤
He actually references Eminem in his song "Any Man In America" "I'll let you know you set the standards lyrically for me One middle finger saying 'raise it up my speech will always be free' Like Martin Luther King it had meaning to me Singlehandedly saving music starving industry A hip-hop legend with skin like invisible ink; black even though he was whiter than me He was the first to be colorless, speaking for all of us And then you let us into your family Mother, father, brother, sister, wife, daughter Damn, right in front of me That's when I missed my daughter desperately Your 'Mockingbird' put dents in me"
Justin got in a lot of trouble for this song, he decided to release it while he was getting divorced, and believe it or not it didnt go over well in the courts lol

Ryan is a member of the band, then and still. ... really!? People like you make me sad.
In addition to Ryan, they had a second/guest violinist and cellist for this performance.

Worry list is my favorite Blue October song and it's so rarely on reaction channels.

This song is straight up dark fantasy that many of us think about but thankfully never do.

I've seen so many of your Blue October reactions. They are great. You should look up Oh My My!
The acoustic version is up now in case you haven't seen it yet.
The Best song Ever! Похожа на нашего Короля и Шута, только без шуток.
Love Blue October! You need to listen to Fear
Only one… they must have been doing a special show
Wow you guys are wasted but I love me some Blue October!! Thank you.
Did you guys do Dirt Room yet? I've lost track of which songs you've done so far. Thanks for going on this Blue October journey! Love these reactions.
No Dirt Room yet, but it is coming!

Lets see if they better on this one.
Welp looks like they finally got it but still seem drunk.
Justin got in a lot of trouble for this song, he decided to release it while he was getting divorced, and believe it or not it didnt go over well in the courts lol
Holy whatever. Is the narrator a fictional character or he himself or some fusion of the two?
Holy whatever indeed! Fictional.
btw their is no cello usually lol not part of the band, just thing song
and only one violin player. his name is Ryan and he also plays the keyboard and does back up singing.
Ryan is the only person on that stage playing an instrument of that type. Jesus, is everyone on hallucinogens?
literally at 3:06 you see the cello in the background lol... @@DarkMadamX83
@@MrNormanJackson07 yes, it's Ryan.
